Avery
Cameron walks through the door sitting on my bed. A look of worry washes over his face, he looks at me with sympathy, i hate that.
He holds my hand in his, "Hey" He mumbles
I give him a little smile, "How's Jack doing?"
"You scared me" He tells me avoiding the question
Cameron's always be honest with me, if he won't be now then i know something's wrong. It's all my fault, why wasn't i watching where i was going? I could have killed one of my best friends, it's all my fault.
A tear rolls down my face, "Cameron please tell me how J-Jack is" I beg my voice cracking as i mention his name
He looks away, my heart beats really fast scared for the answer he's about to give me, "He hasn't woke up, he's not doing well" He explains
I felt my heart sink, i've done this, this is my fault. The tears don't stop, they keep coming. Cameron hugs me the tightest he's ever hugged me, he let me mark his white t-shirt with my tear stains.
"It's all my fault, it's all my fault" I repeat
He pulls away, he looks me dead in the eyes, "You couldn't of known what was about to happen, it's not you're fault" He tries to reassure me, "Try and get some sleep" He kisses my forehead
"I just want to see Manu first" I tell him, he shakes his head immediately, "Cam, please. I need him" I beg
"He's not here, i sent him home a few hours ago. He hasn't eaten or slept in the last couple of days, get some sleep and when you wake up i'll call him" Cam tries to make a deal with me
I think for a moment, "Then I want to go and see Jack" I tell him
He shakes his head, "Not yet"
"I just need to say a few things to him and then i'll have a sleep" I try to convince him
He looks hesitant for a moment or two, "Are you sure?" He questions
"Please Cam, I need to" I beg
"Come on then but quickly" He says
He helped me out of the bed gently and held my hand to Jack's room, "I'm going in alone" I tell him
I walked through the door and sat besides him, it broke my heart seeing him like this. Jack's one of my close friends and we all really need him, I need him, who is going to help me with my math homework? Who will open the door for postmates when i'm to anxious to do it? Who will make me laugh when i'm done?
"Jack, it's Avery, come on I've pulled through you need to now please Jack. I need you, who else will remind me to do my homework when Cameron's busy, who else will check up on me, who else will make me laugh, who else would know about our place. Jack, please wake up" I cry
He squeezed me hand. He squeezed it! But then the machines started beeping and I didn't know what was going on, so I ran for help.
"Help, nurse help!" I scream
Johnson came and grabbed me holding me back, I need to tell them that he squeezed my hand, "Johnson" I shout
"No you can't go in there trust me, I want to burst through those doors, but I can't" He says
He walked back to my room, "Johnson he squeezed my hand" I shout at him
He stood there with tears in his eyes, "Really?"
"Johnson go and tell the nurses please, I need to sit down" I beg
I sit down, my head was spinning for moving to quickly. It frustrated me that i had no idea what was going on.
