When that little voice is calling
You to the darkest place
It whispered a little secret
And a smile lights your face.
Because it is an offer of freedom
From this black hole, hidden in your mind
You slowly crawl into it the sea of screams
Not knowing at all what you would find.
The rocks and twigs scratch and scrap,
Causing blood, thick and warm, to drop
Slowly, you make your way through the winding maze
You stumble, your mind is somewhere your body is not.
Mud cakes you fingers, thin like sticks
Your knees are red raw and ache
Your eyes are leaking salty tears
But never once do you think the secret was a fake.
When you finally see the light,
Shining bright ahead
You realize you like the dark
And you kill yourself instead
But now you watch as others come
Through that never ending hell
And you finally realize the secret
Was nothing good, but time will tell
And if time could speak
I know what it would say
"Don't go to that dark place
For I will make you pay".
