|RULES|

 1. Let me know that you are taking the Villainy challenge by tagging your story with MeridianJames and Villainy so that I can find it and add it to my reading list. Or you can send me a link to your story. (I don't require dedications or follows. If you want to dedicate something to me that's great and if not that's fine too.)

2. Do NOT write about or glorify the acts of sexual abuse, child abuse, etc. and expect me to be like, "Wow this is amazing!" Because it's NOT  and I NOT will hesitate to report your story if it has any of this disgustingness.

3. Do NOT plagiarize under any circumstance.

4. Don't beat yourself up over this challenge. This is just a challenge I made about villains because first, I'm obsessed with Frozen, Wicked, Loki and all the other Disney villains I've failed to mention. Second, I really like it when authors and directors give backstory on a character especially a villain (i.e.  Elphaba from Wicked or Elsa from Frozen.) Third, have you seen my entry for A Study in Femininity? I haven't even started it yet so I am definitely NOT going to rush you on this challenge. Just take your time and have fun. Write the way YOU want to write (i.e. novel, short stories, poem, etc)-whatever works best for you.

One: Write a scene where your villain attends his or her favorite niece or nephew's birthday party and is somehow roped into being the entertainment.

Three: Write a scene where your villain goes grocery shopping.

Four: Write a scene where your villain rants about Disney villains. [Post your villain's (or your) favorite Disney villain song so that readers can listen to it while they read.]

Five: Write a scene where your villain goes to the zoo.

Six: Write a scene where your villain explains to his or her henchwoman (or henchman) why they want to take over the world.

Seven: Write a scene where your villain goes on a blind date.

Eight: Write a scene where your villain has an awkward encounter with the "hero".

Nine: Write a scene where your villain’s weakness is exposed.

Ten: Write a scene where your villain's archenemy (this does NOT have to be the "hero" of the story if you don't want it to be) comes into town.

Eleven: Write a scene where your villain's crush accidently stumbles upon their evil lair. How does your villain hide this or explain this to said crush?

Twelve: Write a scene where your villain has a night out on the town.

Thirteen: Write a battle scene where the Dark Vader Theme Song plays in the background.

Fourteen: Write a scene where your villain has a flashback to a time when they were good.

Fifteen: Write a scene describing your villain's background based off this quote: "Much like you two, I was environmentally influenced into being who I am today."―Chris Colfer, The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell

Sixteen: Write a scene where your villain stays home with a cold.

Seventeen:Write a scene where the “hero” confesses something horrible about himself or herself to your villain.

Eighteen: Write a scene where your villain decides to spruce up their lair/vehicle.

Nineteen: Write a scene where your villain is ambushed by his or her family. Is your villain anything like them? Why have they come over? Are they "evil" too?

Twenty: Write a scene were your villain, unfortunately, has to save the “hero”.

Twenty-One: Write a scene where your villain gets completely drunk.

Twenty-Two: Write a scene where your villain is caught doing something good by the "hero". What was he or she caught doing? How does the "hero" and your villain react?

Twenty-Three:Write a scene where someone very close to your villain dies.

Twenty-Four: Write a scene where your villain delivers a very powerful monologue.

Twenty-Five: Write a scene where your villain celebrates a victory.

Twenty-Six: Your villain refuses to cooperate with someone (a government agent, a hero, a villain, etc.). What happens?

Twenty-Seven: Write a scene where your villain is given an ultimatum.

Twenty-Eight: Write a scene where your villain falls apart.

Twenty-Nine: Write a scene where your villain asks his or her mother for advice.

Thirty: Write a scene where your villain finally accepts that he or she is or was a villain. Does your villain chose evil, good or neutrality (gives up powers, in exchange for a second chance as a human) If, he or she is still rooting for the dark side why did they chose to remain evil? If, your villain has switched sides and is now working with the heroes explain what made he or she change his/her mind about being evil. If, your villain decided to become human why did he or she do this? Remember, regardless of what your villain chooses they are still human (metaphorically speaking).

NOTE: For prompt 30, the emphasis is on your villain's choice for his or her life. Try to touch on the importance of choices and their acceptance of the ones they have already made in the past.

Additional/Interchangeable Prompts:

■ Write a scene where your villain gives up being evil for a whole day. Why did they give it up for that day? (I.e. For Lent, a lover, a New Year's Resolution, etc.) How are they handling it? Does being good for a day make them want to change their ways? Why or why not?

■ Write a scene where your villain's henchwoman (or henchman) goes on a wild adventure to retrieve your villain's pet that they were given strict instructions to take care of only to lose. Does the henchwoman/man get the pet back before your villain returns? If so, how did they do it? If not, how are they "punished"?

■ Create a mix tape (a list of songs) for your villain that they listen to all the time. Try to capture who your villain is in only seven songs. [Post one of your villain's favorite songs from the mix tape so that readers can listen to it while they read.]

■ Write a scene where your villain's henchwoman (or henchman) reveal his or her feelings for them. How do they do it and what is your villain's reaction to him or her? Does this confession change anything between them?

■ Write a scene where your villain goes out to buy chocolate only to discover that the local liquor store is all out of chocolate. What happens? Do they ever get their chocolate?

A/N:

Dedicated to Defend because she wrote Twelve Ways to Spend One's Christmas Eve (even though this challenge has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas) and because she loves Wicked.

Song: Poor Unfortunate Souls from The Little Mermaid because Ursula is my favorite villain of all times with Mother Gothel coming in second (see external link for Mother Knows Best).
