eddie, that boy who has the hots for richie, told me today that richie had called him cute. he said that maybe i was his good luck. that i made him open up more like i do with you. i didn't get it. but i was happy for him. then when you came near to talk to all of us, eddie frowned before i could. i guess he frowned for me. thanks eds. a look my way by the frowning boy made my heart sink. i knew why he was frowning. and by the looks of it so did you bill. because you cracked a joke about how eddie should cheer up, that maybe richie would ask him out tomorrow. everyone laughed. except eddie of course. i bet for the first time in his life, he was actually happy that richie wasn't here today.
isn't that how it started with you and i? ben had made the same comment as you. and we both responded the same. a blush, and stuttering.
but i sure hope he has a better story than us, bill. and a damn better ending than this.
