Chapter 16
Ellington's POV
It's been a couple days since my fight with Rydel. We have been fighting a lot lately and I'm wondering if I should leave her be for a while? Should I? (Ellington's Asking for your advice BTW.)
I looked at the clock and saw that it was already 3 PM and I had bad practice at 3:30 I ran upstairs and got ready to go. I got in my car and drove to the practice studio. I saw that Riker and Rydel's car was already here. Ross was at A&A shooting so he would be late. Rocky probably came with Rydel same with Ryland. Mark and Stormie are probably late as well. Riker was at Lunch with a Girl who we don't know her name.
I walked in and Rydel walked by me and. She turned around.
“There you are.” Rydel said. I turned towards her.
“Yep. Sorry I lost track of time.” I said playing with my hands. Rydel put her hand on my shoulder.
“It’s ok.” She patted my back and walked away. Ross ran in the door.
“Hey E-Rat.” Ross said.
“Hey.” I said.
“Where is Riker?”
“I think he’s still at lunch.”
“Ok. Do you know the girl?”
“No I think he said depending on how this lunch goes we might be able to meet her friday.” Today is monday by the way.
“Ok. Is Rydel around?”
“Yes I think she went to copy something. Can I ask you something?”
“Sure what?”
“How long has she been crying in her sleep?”
“2 years.”
“Did she cry last night?”
“Yep why?”
“I was just wondering. If you want I can stay with her and I will take care of the tears.”
“That would work. I will tell Rocky and Riker they usually take care of it.”
“OK thanks Ross.”
“Anytime!” He walked away and I walked over to my drums. I sat down and started playing. Soon I was banging on the drums really hard. I felt someone pull my arm.
“Ellington you're gonna hurt yourself!” Rydel yelled. I kept banging. I pulled the drum stick up and it hit my eye and I fell backwards.
“ELLINGTON!” Rydel yelled. I was holding my head and rocking back and forth. “ROCKY!!!” Rocky came running in.
“What happened?!?” Rocky asked frantically.
“He hit his eye with the drumstick.” Rydel was holding me in her arms. I started crying. “Shh. It’s ok.” Rydel was rubbing my back.
“I’ll get some ice.” Rocky said and got up and left.
“I’m here.” Riker said walking in and saw me crying and Rydel rubbing my back and hugging my tight. “What happened.” Riker asked running up to me.
“Ellington hit himself with the drumstick.” Rydel said.
“Let me see.” Riker said. I turned towards him and he looked at my eye. “You should be fine.” Riker said slightly hugging me. He got up and walked away. I started crying again. Rydel rushed back to my side.
“Ellington why were you banging on the drums so hard? You know that leads to injury.” Rydel asked.
“I don’t know. I-I guess I-I just was playing m-my drums and s-sudenly I was b-banging on t-them.” I said while crying.
“Ok. Just never do it again.” Rydel said. Rocky came back with ice.
“Here you go E-Rat.” Rocky put it on my eye.
“Thanks.” I laid my head on Rydel’s shoulder and closed my eyes.
