                                    Chapter Twenty Six: Desire

Gazing out the motel’s window, I watch the snow fall. Last night I couldn’t sleep; James on the other hand snored in my ear throughout the whole night. I continue to watch the snow fall onto the ground. The sparkling snow seems like the perfect shade of white.

“Jane!” James hops off the bed frantically, still obviously half asleep.

“I’m right here.” He turns around quickly.

“You frightened me.” He exhales in relief.

“Sorry…” I turn to watch the snow again.

In a soundless movement James’s arms are around my waist. He stands behind me, watching the snow fall with me. I feel his warmth and finally become more relax-I feel safe.

“What is it that’s weighing you down?” He turns me around.

For the first time I see James freshly awake and surprisingly he’s still perfect. How does he do that?

“Haven’t slept.” I respond waltzing out of his arms and towards the refrigerator.

“Not even a blink?” He wonders.

“Nope, two months of sleeping sucks.” I awkwardly chuckle.

“They had you sleeping for two months!” James voice becomes drenched with anger.

“Yup.” I don’t want to add any more fuel to the fire that’s burning inside James. I grab the hotdogs from the small refrigerator and begin to warm it up in the microwave.

James continues to frown. He’s probably calling my parents horrible names inside his head. I wrap my arms around his neck. It’s okay.

“No it’s not Jane” He responds back mentally.

“I’ll be fine.”  I reassure him.

When? A month-or a year from now?”  He places his hands on my hips.

“When you shut up and kiss me.”  I smile.

“Don’t try to distract me.”  I shake my head and place my lips against his. Thinking I would taste morning breath I’m surprised when I taste fresh breath. The room once again becomes hot and erotic as I make his hair a hot mess with only my fingers. Suddenly I’m against a wall retrained by his hands. Then he pulls away again.

“Is it me or does it always intensifies rapidly?” He lets his hands fall from my body leaving only a beautiful sensation.

“Nope, not you.” I say anxiously as I try to compose myself again.

“Let’s keep our hands to ourselves from now on, shall we?” He takes out the hotdog from the beeping microwave.

“Did I do something wrong?” I wonder as he keeps his eyes focus on everything else but me.

“No…the opposite, you did everything right.” He begins to blush.

“Okay note to self –hands to myself.” I chuckle feeling a bit satisfied that I could make James blush.

“We need to leave soon, I doubt that your family took the warning seriously.” He changes the subject as he becomes cool and sexy again.

“And head where?” I ask since we have nowhere to go.

“My home, right after we go shopping for clothing.” He smiles as if he’s excited.

“You like shopping?” That would be strange.

“Never have I ever.” He says in the most attractive voice yet.

“Then why are you smiling like you can’t wait to go.” I bite into the hotdog, only to let it fall out of my mouth in disgust, back on to the foil it was wrapped in.

“Because- it will be similar to a miniature road trip with the woman I love.” The words cause me to sizzle everywhere.

“If you want me to keep my hands to myself you really have to stop saying stuff like that.” I begin to chug down water trying to cool myself.

“Let’s get out of here.” he helps me put on his jacket.

I can feel his fingers on the back of my neck as he carefully pulls my hair out from the jacket. Turning around, I face his regular blue eyes. This is going to be really hard to keep my hands to myself.  I exit for the car as he quickly slips on his boots.

We drive for about an hour before pulling into a shopping complex. James opens the door for me as we walk into the store like crazy people. I guide myself to the women section, once again trying to find a jacket. I spot a navy blue trench coat. I like this. I hold it out to James and he nods. I fold it over my arm as I fix my hair into a messy bun.

“You’re going to need much more than that.” James catches my attention.

“Okay.” I give him a sly smile.

I grab regular t-shirts in my size along with pants. I guess today I’m not feeling it. I take off James jacket and hand it over to him. Walking around the store I lose James in the racks. Stumbling across under garments I realize I would most definitely need some. Lace…Lace…thong…Lace…oh great. I grab the panties in my size.

James comes from behind me with a cart-so that’s where he went. I drop all the clothes in my arms into the cart, thankful. I move onto the bras and once again they are all lacey. I place some into the cart and take a quick glance at James; surprisingly he is not even smiling. Speedy would have made an immature joke or something.

“What’s wrong?” He places a hand on my shoulder to comfort me.

“Nothing, it’s just you’re not making a joke about the bras or even the panties.” I say honestly. Honesty, something I will most likely need to get used to.

“I’m a man, not a boy.” He growls. Damn he is so sexy.

“Right, I think I’m done shopping.” He takes my hand as we head to the front to pay for our items.

I open the mystery wallet I took from the cabinet, but James quickly pulls out his and pays for the stuff with his own money. I give him a look. ‘What the hell are you doing?’ look.  He gives me a quick smile before grasping all the bags for himself. What the hell does he think- That I’m disabled? He waits for me at the door as I stand still-in shock. I finally focus and walk to his side. I quickly place my jacket on before exiting.

As we exit, I can feel the wind twirl around us. The wind taunts us as it picks up force. James quickly puts the bags in the back and still manages to open my door. I slide in, something doesn’t feel right.

“So what would you like to eat?” James asks as he drives off; back on the road…how awesome, not really.

“I don’t know.” I lower the seat into a laying position.

“Tired?” He softly places his hand over my left one.

“Just a bit.” I yawn.

“Well, we still have approximately six hours on the road, so sleep might be a good idea.”

I try to fall to sleep but I can’t. My stomach seems to grumble a lot more than it should. I mean-I don’t feel hungry enough for my stomach to be acting this way

“Okay, you need to eat Jane.” James says after a minute of stomach grumbling.

“I’m not hungry.” I whisper.

“Yea, sure you’re not.” He pulls into a McDonalds once he exits the highway.

I reluctantly enter the building. I don’t want to eat. James orders a breakfast meal. I frown at the view of it. He chuckles lightly pushing my tray towards me. He opens up his meal, taking a big bite from the breakfast burger.

“You need to get energy into your system, so eat my love.” James says after swallowing the mushed up ball of food down his throat.

“I’ll just order a cup of coffee, my stomach kind of feels turned around and stuff.” I order a coffee and by the time I get back James has dogged down his sandwich.

“haaaa” I exhale after swallowing a gulp of coffee that warms up my stomach as it settles.

“Caffeine, it works wonders.” James says in amazement.

“Yes it does…” I smile, observing my surroundings.

Then there he is. Speedy stands near the glass window, watching me. James realizes this and glances over his shoulder. He pushes himself off from the table and stomps out of the restaurant. If it was possible steam would be coming out of his ears. I chase after him, worried for Speedy’s life.

“Explain yourself.” James mutters.

“I’m not here for you.” Speedy growls as he tries to make his way towards me.

“Come back Jane.” Speedy adds once he realizes James won’t let him pass.

“Go now.” James looks directly at him.

“Fuck off.” Speedy mutters and with that James loses control of his anger and punches Speedys face.

Speedy seems unaffected by it and begins throwing fists at James. James gets pin onto the hood of our car, and then throws Speedy onto the side walk. They continue for what seems to be a long time-why isn’t anyone trying to separate them?

“Stop!” I screech.

“Stop it!” I screech one more time before I feel my eyes begin to change.

“I said STOP!” I throw my hands forward then part them to my sides.

With this motion I manage to separate the now bloody and bruised enemies. They try to escape my invisible grasp but give up as they realize how exhausted they’ve become. I begin to cry at the sight of them, why does it have to be this way?

I can taste the salty tears as some roll into my mouth. I can’t hold them in. My chest hurts and the fear over takes me. I don’t know what to do anymore. Fuck everything-I give up.  I walk to the car with my trembling legs. As I lay the seat down once more, I feel the agony place me into paralyzed state soon later into a deep sleep.

“Jane.” James whispers lightly.

“Hmm?” I moan as I try to spread my eyelids apart.

“We’re here.” He unbuckles my seat belt.

“What time is it?” I ask wrapping my arms around his neck as he lifts me.

“Three a.m.” He enters a building that seems to be in a way far from any type of neighbors. The house has a wrapped around porch; it seems to be a type of historic house.

As we enter it smells completely fresh. The open space connecting all the areas seems to be perfectly in tone with each other. Light greens and creams seem to be his taste. A woman swiftly exits a room and comes towards us only in a white t-shirt. Is that James’ shirt?

“When you told me you were coming back home I thought it was just you and-me of course.” She smiles a seductive smile. Oh hell no, I don’t like her already.

James doesn’t seem to care that she is basically half naked, unlike the time where he thought I was and had to cover his eyes. I roll my eyes as the girl flips her dark brown hair over her shoulder.

“Jane, this is my maid Lily.” James tries to reassure me but all I see is an ironic twist to his words.

“Whatever, I need to shower.” I respond.

“Okay follow me.” He leads me to the bathroom, up the stairs and down the hallway.

“Nice bathroom.” I respond as he opens the door to a ‘Keep sanity’ room.

I realize the washroom counter have burning candles on them, my stomach twist-damn maid. Jealousy takes over me, what the hell have they been doing? James places the bags on the floor awkwardly. I begin to strip off my clothes, ignoring the fact that he’s here. As I predicted, he shifts his view onto the floor.  He turns on the water, checking for the perfect temperature. I wonder how many times he’s done that for someone else. I slip out of the rest of my clothes and enter the shower.

“Do you need anything else?” James chokes out the words.

“No, but tomorrow it might be a good idea to buy deodorant and stuff like that.” I say as I begin to wipe down my body, grateful I shave the other day at the cabin.

“Okay.” He exits shutting the door quietly.

After taking a shower, I try to find comfortable clothes to sleep in. Damn it! All I bought were jeans. I slip on my bra and panties and a t-shirt along with a pair of jeans. I place my dirty clothes into one bag after placing the new clothes into another. I quietly place them into a room that seems to be a storage room. Taking quick peaks into the other rooms; I analyzed them as guest rooms since they only have beds in them.

Walking down the stairs quietly, I spot James and that Lily slut in the kitchen. Her hand is placed over James shoulder and seems to be making her way down his back slowly.

“You seem different.” She leans towards him, pressing her chest against his arm.

“I am.” He responds.

“I bet not that different in bed.” She giggles but that doesn’t seem to fade James.

I begin to feel my stomach cramp up at the image of James and that girl in bed-together. I storm up the stairs, why the fuck would he bring me here? I lock myself into a room not wanting him to come anywhere near me. I really don’t need this right now.

I leave the lights off as I take off my jeans that feel snug at the moment. Leaving them on the floor I climb into the twin bed. Then there’s a soft knock on the door.

“Jane, you weren’t supposed to hear that” He whispers.

“Hear what?” I play stupid.

“You know what?” He replies.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I keep at it.

“Jane can you open the door?” James asks.

“I’m changing.” I reply without thinking.

“Sure you are.” He opens up the door letting the light creep in.

“James.” I growl.

“Jane, pants please.” He lifts up the jeans from the floor and quickly hands them to me before turning to face away from me.

“You didn’t have a problem looking at Lily.” I respond.

“I have more respect for you.” He says still turned the other way.

“Or is it that you’re not attracted to me?” I stand and waltz around to face him.

“Not so long ago I had to force myself to take me hands off of you.” He makes a valid point.

“Obviously you didn’t stop yourself form banging Lily.” Jealousy speaks for me.

“That was before I met you.” He tries to keep his eyes on mine.

“Right.” I sarcastically state.

“Jane, I’m a man who has needs. Sex is one of them.” He responds grasping my hands into his.

“So who have you banged since the night you met me?” I analyze his eyes for any sudden changes.

“No one.” I can fell he becomes anxious.

“Why not-what about all that needs crap you were talking about?” I interrogate him.

“My needs are put aside when it comes to you.” He expresses.

“Then why is she still here?” Suddenly he grips my waist.

“Because I haven’t had time to pick out a new maid.” He slightly smiles which makes me even angrier.

“What’s so funny?” I can feel his hands burn my skin with the same sensation he has always given me.

“I find you so attractive when you’re jealous.”  He leans in tracing his noses with mine.

“You shouldn’t.” I whimper as he slowly presses me against the wall.

“But I do.” He places his lips on mine causing my body to feel warm chills.

“Stop distracting me.” I slowly intertwine my hands with his hair.

“I’m trying.” His husky voice says as he kisses my neck.

“Well try harder.” I giggle softly as I feel my body wanting to give in.

“Different huh?” Lily interrupts our uhm...yeah awkward.

James doesn’t pay attention to her frustration as she rants about leaving; instead he looks at me with a wild grin. He needs a shower, his shirt is completely dirty. Lily says something; honestly I have no idea what she’s saying, I’m too captured in the sensation running through my body.

“I have to look for new maids.” James says as we hear the front door slam shut.

“I think so too, but for now take a shower. You smell like a man.” I chuckle.

“You don’t like?” He jokes as he leads me down the stairs.

He lifts me onto the table as he begins to set up something. I feel a bit awkward sitting on his table with basically my bare ass cheeks.  He brings out baked potatoes from the oven.

“I did these when you were in the shower. I hope you’ll enjoy them.” He smiles.

“What are we putting on them?” I ask sitting down on an actual seat.

“Melted cheese.” He smiles as opens up the aluminum and places the steaming potato on a plate.  He then pours the cheese on top. It looks really good in my opinion.

“Here you go.” He places the plate in front of me along with a fork napkin and a cup of ice.

“What would you like to drink?” He holds out the bottle of soda and juice.

“Water.”  I stand to get water from the faucet.

Leaning towards the faucet, I open the water. I wait as the glass fills up. My body begins to feel hot and steamy. I glance over to see James gazing at me with burning desire in his blue, crystal eyes.
