My life is broken, empty, filled with nothing but sorrow, but I was just hopin' that maybe you could change that.

This poem was written about a guy who was very special to me, and whom I would've given up my whole life for ... that I liked as more than a friends, and I knew he knew, and felt the exact opposite, even though he didn't say so. He broke me. I broke him. We never were a couple, nor were we ever going to be, but that never stopped me from crying for hours, and hours on end because I was that hurt that he believed rumors over me. We were best friends, and that's what hurts the most.
