Chapter 13
“Riley” I whispered
The blonde girl turned around from watching Harry and Louis dance crazily on stage and smiled at me “Hey Niall”
“Can I ask you something?”
She laughed “You just did”
I gave her a funny look
“Go ahead Niall, you’re allowed to ask me questions without asking for permission”
I frowned “Uh…”
She laughed again “You had something to ask me Ni?”
“Oh yeah” I smiled, butterflies dropping like lead weights in my stomach as the nerves crept up on me
She looked at me “You okay Ni?”
“Y-Yeah” I cleared my throat and shoved my hands in my jean pockets “I was just wondering if um…”
“If…?”
“If you’d –um– like to hang out with me, tonight, before the show”
“Don’t you have rehearsal?”
“After sound check we have time to do what we want-“ I paused “-and I want to take you out”
She blinked “Take me out?”
I nodded
“Like a- a date?”
I nodded again
Her face lit up in shock “Oh Honey-“
I groaned, cutting her off
“What?” she frowned
“You used the ‘oh honey’ line on me, you only use the oh honey line when you’re talking to someone younger, stupider or if you’re going to tell them ‘thanks but no thanks’”
She laughed “I didn’t know I had a line”
I bit my lip and shuffled my feet
“Niall” she sighed “I love you but, you have a concert and I don’t have anyone to take care of Drake on such short notice”
“Louise said she’d take care of him” I blurted, blushing as the words left my mouth and Riley gave me a confused look “She offered”
Riley smiled “Really Niall, I want to, I love hanging out with you, but you have to be focused on making your fans happy”
I sighed and nodded “Okay”
“Niall!” called Liam “Sound check!”
I kissed Riley’s cheek and smiled at her sadly “Catch you later”

Riley’s POV
“That’s what makes you Beautiful!”
I could hear the muffled screams and faint cheers from down the corridor in Niall’s dressing room
“Beautiful!” cheered Draco playing with his car and running it into one of Lux’s bears on the floor
Lux giggled on my lap and I smiled as the little girl reached her hands out towards Draco
I set her down on the floor and she crawled over to the older boy, cuddling up on his knee with another giggle
I took a photo and set it as my new wallpaper, erasing the face of Pat from my phone
“That’s my job done” sighed Louise walking through the door with a smile as another song started up down the hall
“Night over so early?”
“Always is” she smiled sitting down next to me
I smiled at her and went back to watching the two kids play on the floor
“What’s wrong Darling?” she sighed, turning to face me
I shrugged “Don’t know what you’re talking about”
“I’m talking about you looking completely out of it ever since the boys started sound check” she paused “You and Niall aren’t mucking around like usual”
I bit my lip and looked up at her “He asked me out”
“Yeah I know” she nodded “What did you say?”
“No”
“No?”
“No”
“Why did you say No, you two would be perfect together!”
I sighed “I didn’t have anyone to look after Draco”
She raised her eyebrow and whispered “You know that’s a bullshit excuse”
I groaned “Yeah, I know”
“I would’ve taken care of him, so why did you really say no?”
“I’m scared” I said picking up Lux as she crawled over to me
“Of what?”
I bit my lip “Of losing Niall”
“What do you mean?”
“I can’t lose Niall; I can’t go through losing someone that means so much to me again, that means so much to us” I looked over at Draco, still playing with his cars “Niall is the only thing keeping me from falling off the edge, I need him”
“You won’t lose him if you date him”
“But it’d be a possibility” I said looking at her “Couples sometimes don’t work, they break up, then where would I be?”
“I don’t think-“
“Lou” I sighed “You don’t understand how much he means to me”
“Then explain it” she said as I put Lux back down on the floor “Explain to me why you need him so much”
“I can’t” I whispered “I’m not ready to tell myself, let alone anyone else”
“Then don’t admit it, don’t think about it” She smiled “What you can do, is walk out into the hall after the show, find Niall and tell him ‘yes’”
“Draco-“
“Will come home with me and he can sleep in the spare bed, you don’t have to worry about him, you just go have fun”
I nodded and Lou squealed
“You two are so cute, I just had to fan girl a little bit” she blushed sitting back in her chair and correcting herself with a big grin
“You can’t wait till the shows over can you” I laughed
“No, I want to see this!”

“Niall!” squealed Louise walking out into the crowd of sweaty boys
“Hey Lou” he smiled, pinching Lux’s cheek and kissing Lou’s “What’s up?”
“Back there” she said pointing her finger over her shoulder at where I was standing with Harry and Draco “Go, now”
Niall frowned as Lou walked away with Lux and he looked up to see me
I smiled at him and he smiled back
“You sure you’ll be alright?” I whispered to Harry
“I’ll be fine” he smiled hiking the little boy on his hip and nodding over to Niall “And I approve, now go”
Harry pushed me with his free hand and I went stumbling towards Niall
“Hey” he smiled, stepping up to me and catching my elbows before I fell over “What’s up?”
“Um…” I blushed and looked down at my feet before back up at him
“Um?”
“Is that offer still available?”
“What offer?” he frowned
“You wanted to take me out?”
His eyes widened “Yeah, it’s still available”
“Good” I smiled “Because I really want to get out of here”
He grinned “Paul!”
Paul appeared beside us within a second “Yes?”
“Were going out” Niall grinned taking my hand “Catch us if you can!”
“Oi!” he screamed as Niall tugged us running down the hall so he could get changed
“Niall, Riley get back here!” screamed Paul as Zayn, Liam, Louis and Harry cheered us on
I laughed as Niall pulled us into the dressing room, grabbed his shirt, hat, glasses and hoodie and ran us out to the black vans waiting surrounded by fans
“Go, Go, Go!” laughed Niall rushing through the crowd and the security till we were laughing like idiots in the back of a moving van
