"I still can't believe you got partnered with Jung Yonghwa." Sung-Ah said in disbelief.
"Well you better believe it, he's making me do all the work!" I replied in an annoyed tone.
"Yah, no need to get angry. I'm sure he won't make you do all the work just because your the smartest girl in the school - oh yeah, he probably would... sorry."
"Really now? Stating the obvious much." I rolled my eyes at my best friend, "we have three months anyways, that's a long time."
"True, true. Try not to fall for him during that three months!" Sung-Ah said jokingly.
"Yah, don't joke around! How about you? You got put with the exchange student and can you even speak English?" I said.
"Yes! Listen." Sung-Ah said, "Hello, I'm Sung-Ah, nice too meet you." Sung-Ah said in English.
"Woah... since when did you speak English?" I asked.
"About 2 years. Can you speak it?" Sung-Ah replied.
"Yes I can speak English." I replied back in English, smiling.
"Ahh! You have a really good accent! Where did you learn english?" Sung-Ah asked.
"I felt like learning a second language." I shrugged my shoulders like it was nothing.
"How can you be so cool? I'm getting jealous." Sung-Ah pouted.
I rolled my eyes and flicked her head.
"Ow! What was that for?" Sung-Ah cried rubbing her head.
"Why are you jealous of me?" I asked, "and FYI" I said in English, "I'm not cool."
"Y-yah, no more speaking english. I've heard enough english from when Austin was talking to me." She rubbed her temples and cracked her neck.
Gross!
"Your disgusting. You're a girl."
"You do it too!" Sung-Ah said back.
"W-what? I do not." I said in denial, okay maybe I do crack my neck, fingers... - but when other people do it, it looks and sounds disgusting.
"Don't lie to me Minah, I've known you for 13 years."
"Okay fine, you got me there!"
"Okay so let's go to our last class, what do you have?" Sung-Ah asked.
"I have English with Yonghwa," I replied rolling my eyes.
"Will he be there?"
"He's never in English because it's the last lesson of the day so I doubt he'll be there."
"Okay, well I have physical education so I'll see you after school and if not I'll call you! Bye!" Sung-Ah said before running off.
Why am I feeling nervous all of a sudden? Yonghwa won't even be in English so why am I feeling like this?
I usually get to English class early and as I walked into class I saw a person at the back row, sleeping. Why do people sleep at school? School isn't a place to sleep, it's a place to work!
"Uhm, excuse me..." I said poking the person in the arm.
Wow, they had strong arms.
The person didn't even move.
I rolled my eyes, "Yah!" I said as I slapped the persons head.
"Ouch." I took two big steps backwards.
That voice, I can recognise that voice anywhere...
"Y-Yonghwa...?" I said in disbelief, he's actually in class? Why did he all of a sudden want to come to class?
"Oh, it's you. Since when were you in this class?"
"I've always been in this class! Your just never here to see it." I scoffed.
"So, have you started the project?" Yonghwa asked acting like I said nothing.
"No! I'm not starting it without you."
"Aw, do you need me?" Yonghwa smirked.
"N-no! What are you talking about? It's a partnered project."
"Okay fine I'll help you, come to my house after school." He said before going back to sleep
He wants me to go to his house? I don't even know where he lives!!
"Yah, you slept in Science why are you sleeping again?"
"Ever since I've been talking to you all do you is make me sleepy, your kind of like a teacher; when they talk it makes me sleepy, so I'll call you teacher from now on."
This guy is seriously crazy!
"I've never spoken to you before other than today," I replied feeling a little hurt. Teacher? Me? Nuh uh. No way.
"Teacher just go away.." Yonghwa said in his sleepy voice.
"I am not a teacher!" I yelled, "I know for a fact that I am a student not a teacher and if anyone were to be a teacher here, I would be you since your older than me."
"I'm only 3 months older than you..." Yonghwa mumbled.
"W-what? How do you know that?" I asked looking confused. Since when did he know my birthday.
"N-nothing! Just go away Min." Min? So he has another name for me?
"Min? Who am I? Min from Miss A?" I rolled my eyes.
"Pfft, your nothing compared to her." Ouch, he really has the guts to say things like that.
I rolled my eyes trying not to look hurt, he seriously has the guts. So I tried to make a comeback, "y-your nothing compared to Changmin of TVXQ!" Really Minah? That's the best you've got?
"DBSK fan huh?" Yonghwa said eyeing me up and down.
"What are you looking at?" I asked looking at my legs.
"Your skirt is short." He said.
He seriously has the guts!
I looked at my skirt and it wasn't even short, it was just above my knees. "It's not short you idiot." I scoffed.
"I'm an idiot?"
"Yes." I stated, "you never do your work and in fact this is the first time I've seen you in English so why are you here out of all days?"
"Maybe because I actually want to learn." He replied and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah." I spat, "the day you'll be smart is the day I'm married to Changmin, yeah?" I joked.
"You actually think I will never be smart?" He asked and I nodded my head.
"I bet you by the end of this science project I'll be so smart!"
"And if your not," I started to think... "You'll be my slave for three months!" Good one Minah! I mentally high-fived myself.
"-and if I do get smart..." Now he started to think, "I get to kiss you."
"What!!" I screamed and I'm pretty sure it was a loud one because Yonghwa flinched.
"You heard me."
Calm down Minah, it's not like it'll ever happen. Just try not to punch is good-looking face.
I shook his hand, "deal."
What am I getting myself into?
