"what's love for you?" i ask Marco as i'm filming him. haha. natutuwa kasi ako pag ginagawa ko 'to sa kanya. "what's love for you?" i asked him again. he's doing some skecthing sa sand.
yep. sa sand nga. nandito kasi kame ngayon sa tabing dagat. and did i ever mention you that it's summer? haha. ang bilis di ba?
so far so great, i can say. since that day ng Alumni namin, everything went from good to better. now, my parents knows about our relationship, at hindi naman sila kumontra, long as i know where i stand. kilala ko na rin ang both parents ni Marco pati kuya niya. haha.
nung una, kinabahan talaga ako makasama sila sa dinner, but then i feel very welcomed to their family. ang bait ng mama niya, she told me that lagi raw ako kinukwento ni Marco. haha. nakakatuwa lang, then we also visited his father's grave. dun niya ako pinakilala.
it was so sweet of him, i even cried when he did that. he promised in front of his father's tomb that he's going to do everything for us to last. ako rin, i promised his dad that i'll help him for our relationship to last. i hope it would be endless.
as for the other naman, okay lang naman sila. haha. si Jayne and Gary, going strong. si Faye and Ken, are somewhat getting there. si Karen and Nat-an, sila rin yun. nakalimutan ko lang sabihin.
sina kuya Josh and ate Zoie naman, they're been planning their wedding already. i think it'll be on December. sana sa birthday ko na lang yun. haha.
then si kuya Bryan. okay lang din naman siya. actually he knows na kame na ni Marco. okay lang man din sa kanya, he said he's even happy for me, for us. and we keep in touch rin naman. halos mag-iisang taon na rin kameng magkakilala ni kuya Bryan.
it was the summer of last year when i first knew him. he's been a very good friend since then.
i guess we'll be as good as friends. haha.
pinagseselosan pa rin ni Marco si kuya Bryan. haha. ang adik niya talaga. i already told him that we're just very good friends. and that si Marco lang ang mamahalin ko as long as my memory goes on.
teka, may isa pa. si Jen. haha. as for Jen naman, namatay na. joke, wala pa. ayun umaaligid pa rin kay Marco, kahit na alam niyang kame na. akala niya papatulan siya ni Marco.
magkakabata naman din kasi yun sila. hmp. ako rin nagseselos ako kay Jen minsan. kasi bigla na lang niyang aakbayin ang boyfriend ko ng walang paalam sa akin. sarap itapon ang katawan niya sa north pole para ipakain sa mga polar bears. haha. xD
ika nga, 'LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING'. haha.
"hmmm. love?" he brought me back to reality. tumango ako while still filming him. "it's spelled E-L-I-S-E." he then looked at me, nakangiti. i then looked at his eyes.
the very same eyes that made me fall. "how come you're always like that?" sabi ko naman sa kanya. he looked puzzled. "your eyes." i elaborated. "it makes me want to fall for you even more."
"hahaha. i don't know. why ever so, ms. Herera?" he courteously asked. i giggled.
"your eyes are deadly as a snake's bite." i told him. "don't ever look straight in a girl's eye, got it?"
he just laughed at me. but then i'm dead serious. "got it?" i asked him again. nabasa na niya ang gusto kong sabihin.
"yes ma'am." sabi niya naman. nilapit niya ang mukha naming dalawa, we're just an inch closer. i can almost feel his breath. "ikaw lang naman ang mahal ko." he then let our nose touch and kissed the tip of my nose.
"kahit na." sabi ko sa kanya soon as nilayo niya mukha niya sa akin. he took my vidcam from me and filmed me naman. "and dont film me." pagtatampo ko.
"haha. you're so beautiful, have i ever told you that?" he said while laughing.
"yes." kuripot kong sagot.
"what's love for you?" binalik niya naman ang tanong sa akin.
"it's endless with capital M-A-R-C-O-S-A-N-C-H-E-Z." i then smiled at him too. he then looked at me quizzically. "it's true." i assured him.
"i know it is." dahan-dahan niyang binaba ang vidcam.
"then how come, you're expression's like that?"
he kinda laughed. "no, it's just that, you know, i just never thought you'd be inlove with me like this. haha."
"i never would have thought that too." i said to him.
hindi ko nga rin alam na i'd be like this. ever since naging kame, i feel like i don't want to let him go. i don't know what'll happen to me if he ever leaves me.
am i being so possessive of him? i think protective is the appropriate term, it's just the feeling that i never want to him leave me. as months passed, i came to love him even more each day. ang sarap mahalin ang isang Marco Sanchez.
kahit na ganun siya, he would always say to me that he loves me with all his heart. he's a bit jealous but i like it. he's being protective, and i appreciate it. he says i'm his everything, and i believe him. kahit sinasabihan niya akong brutal pero mahal niya pa rin ako. kahit na sinasabihan ko siyang pervert pero mahal ko pa rin siya.
i just realized how much i love this person. he was afterall the first person to talk to me. then lagi niya akong tinetenta, pinagti-tripan, inaasar, at niloloko. ewan ko ba kung bakit siya ganun dati, ngayon alam ko na, he was just getting my attention. akalain niyo na may crush pala yun sa akin. haha.
"bakit?" he noticed that something's going on my mind.
i slightly shook my head. "wala. it's just that, what if, you know, magkahiwalay tayo..."
he immediately kissed me which brought me to stop. "it'll never happen." he promised.
"well, i hope. i mean," hinalikan na naman niya ako. "Marco."
"i said it'll never going to happen." he again informed. i trust him, i just don't trust myself. what if ako mismo ang magiging dahilan? that thought scared me.
"i'm just scared what the future holds for the both of us."
"ba't mo ba pinagtutuunan ng pansin ang hinaharap?" he asked while his staring on the sunset. agad kong kinuha yung cam ko and took the picture of the sunset. still, nakatingin pa rin siya sa horizon. i slightly moved back to take a good picture of him.
kaya naman humarap na siya sa akin. "stalker." he almost whispered but i clearly heard him.
"i guess i am." sabi ko sa kanya.
"haha. you just can't seem to get enough of me, can you?" his voice were seducing me.
tae ka Sanchez. hindi noh. haha.
"inyourface Sanchez!" sabi ko sa kanya. "favorite place?" i asked him.
"here. you?"
"anywhere basta kasama ka. haha." he kept on shaking his head habang tumatawa. "favorite color?"
"black. you?" he answered.
"gray."
"i thought you'd say what Marco's favorite color is, it's what Elise's favorite color too." he then mimicked my tone. i just stuck out my tongue at him. "so, what're your plans once you've stepped on college?"
"hmmm. good question. haha. well, i've got an answer to that now. haha." sabi ko sa kanya. he was taken aback by my answer.
"okay. what's that?"
"well, i'll be taking up photography. and you?" pagmamayabang ko sa kanya. though i know kung anong isasagot niya.
"how long?" napatanong siya bigla.
"i don't know. haha. why?"
"wala naman. haha."
"daya! ayaw pang sabihin." pagtatampo ko naman sa kanya.
"haha. what's the next step that you'll do once you've graduated?" he curiously asked.
"hmmm...let's see." i looked at him mischievously. "what would you do?" i asked him back.
"well, i'd ask the girl i love to marry me." he said moving an inch closer to me. "you?"
"well, i guess i'd be expecting a proposal from the one i love."
"then, that's good. i'll be there." he informed me. natatawa naman ako sa kanya. haha.
"you better be. or else i'll kill you." i threatened him.
"you brute."
"you perv." haha. naalala ko na naman dati.
"mahal mo naman."
"mahal mo rin naman." i finally said. then he took me in his arms, hugging me and kissed me on the head.
then napatingin ako sa baba, dun sa ginuhit niya sa sand. it's nice. he drew a heart shape, inside the heart are our names. sweet. simple lang talaga ang nakasulat. mga pangalan lang naman namin ang nakasulat dun.
"so much, that i don't know what to do without you." natuwa naman ako sa sinabi niya.
"me too." i replied then slowly closing my eyes to sleep.
"don't leave me." just before i can finally drift off, i heard him say those words.
"i won't. i can't leave you." i promised him.
