The Mourning Band

Sound the drums for the mourning band
Our soldiers have come home
Not marching with band
But in body bags
We sound the drums when they come home but all we want is to cry
The man in power says no to tears
For he thinks we should cheer
Cheer for a pointless war
The war well never win
An endless fight we shall play
Play forever in out games
Game of bloodshed and tears
With mourning wives and children's prayers
Praying daddy will come home
The war is never fob and we have never won
Sound the drums for the mourning band has come
