The best moment when I published new chapter is the comments. I love to know how each chapter affect some of the readers, and oh, one thing I need to point out #hwnf really got nothing to do with other movies or drama especially the korean drama. Honestly, I don't even know that the drama exist. I've watched it, thankfully not all the same. My work is not a plagiarism, cliche but not plagiarized but thank u to those who told me it is the same, at least I would try to make it better even if it's not reaching your expectations *sob* *sob*. Don't blame me though, I'm still new. Like I said, it ain't my fault~
Leah:
I was going to make a breakfast this morning but Sophia already beat me to it, because she showed up early. Apparently she works in two places, Ian’s house and his grandpa’s mansion but Sophia only doing a part time here so I told her not to worry because I would take the duty to cook for Ian and she likes the idea so much. At least, I could repay Ian’s kindness because he said that I didn’t need to spare a single dollar living with him. Sophia already left earlier, so I quickly made some breakfast before Ian wakes up and right when I finished, the doorbell rings. I opened it to see the boys already well dressed for work.
“Good morning!” Josh greeted me enthusiastically like always.
“Oh, good morning boys!” I replied happily because I miss them so much and I could use their support for my first day at Knight Corp. I peck them one by one on the cheek before letting them enter the house. They said they haven’t had their breakfast so I cook some more for them, that’s when Ian showed up wearing only a track pants revealing his tight toned body to be feast by my not so innocent eyes. Can this man be more decent in front of my boys?
“Wow, looks like someone is in seducing mode.” Liam commented making me suddenly blushed.
“He’s the one who’s half naked, why you’re the one who went red?” David directed it straight to me causing Ian to smirk wider and all their attention were on me now. I just ignore them and continue eating my breakfast as Ian already took his seat beside me while three of them seated in front of us both.
“Did you guys do something sexual last night?” Josh’s savage question cause me to choke on my bacon making three of them looking at us skeptically while Ian on the other hand enjoyed this situation by grinning while handing me the orange juice to ease down my throat. The last night memory which includes me seducing, the kisses not forgetting the butt slapping rushes back into my brain making me even shy and definitely red. Can I bury my face on the plate already?
“Oh my god, it’s true!” Josh exclaimed but before he goes on rambling, Ian shut him up by his deathly glare. We continued our breakfast in silent thankfully but then Josh suddenly announced that I need to follow him so we would come in late to the office today. Ian surely didn’t like the idea.
“She doesn’t even have suitable attire, so I need to bring her to buy some clothes.”
“No need, I would bring her myself later.”
“No Ian, you go settle your work that you already left for days and Leah will follow me later.” I saw that Josh would not back out from arguing and I certainly felt guilty because Ian can’t concentrate with his work these past few days because of me.
“It’s okay Ian, I will come in later plus I really need proper attire and I don’t want to make myself a fool on my first day.” I assured him and his face softens before agreeing to me. Josh smiled triumphantly and Ian sighed knowing that he lost if it is with me. The other two just smirking at themselves.
“I don’t think I would like the outcome later,” Ian mutters to his own. After breakfast, all of us part our on ways as me and Josh went to shopping while the rest of them went to work. Josh made me try numerous types of outfit and it’s tiring. I think the word tired itself is an understatement, the assistants that works at the store would give me distaste look because they were jealous of me. That’s the treatment I received for having three gorgeous male as my brother but no one knows. They would think that I’m the girlfriend or something.
“Are we done yet?”
“Yes.” Thank you lord, my legs are wobbly right now.
“But before that, I have an idea,” oh I don’t think this is good.

“Come on..........” Josh pleaded.
This is bad, no, this is disaster!
I’m now in front of the Knight Corp building with Josh tries to pull me inside, and to make it worse, it’s almost lunch hour! Meaning there will be many people!
“Are you kidding me?! This is ridiculous! I’m not wearing a proper attire. They will be pissed! This is not a movie Josh! Not a movie! Are you crazy?! I'm not going to a club! No! Nope! Ugghhhh..just NO!” I half whispered half yelled because my dear brother just made me wear an off shoulder white blouse that revealed more skin not to mention the tight black pencil skirt that hugs my bottom showing my curves and it so short! I look like a seducer not an assistant, this is way too far from professional.
“Don’t worry, only Ian will be angry because three of us who planned it all along. Although I did copy this idea from a movie, cliché but always work,” he smiled wickedly at me.
“What do the three of you get from this copied idea?” I sighed, his grin goes wider knowing that he won.
“His precious reaction.”
“I hope I would stay alive after this.” I dramatically sighed again while shaking my head feeling extremely unbelievable by this stupid idea. I thought this kind of thing only happens in movie.
“You would, but not us,” at last we went into the building and instantly all eyes on me, the guy giving me lust gaze and the girl like always, distaste or even hate. Josh seems oblivious because he never cares of anyone’s opinion. Suddenly his cellphone rings and he motions me to go to the front desk first. Nervously I went there to see a beautiful woman behind the desk who’s reading a magazine so I greet her to informed her that someone standing in front of her. She turns her eyes to me and instantly glared at me like she’s ready to eat me if she’s a tiger.
“What do you want?” Wow, how rude is she.
“Um, I’m here for the job as Mr.Knight’s new P.A,” I said politely.
“Oh, so you’re the one who made Amy changed her job to the other company,” she accused. I don’t even know who’s Amy, why do I- Ohhhh, Amy must be the previous P.A. Now I felt sorry for her losing the job.
“Lost your tongue you cheap woman? And you dare come to work on lunch hour huh? Of course, looking at you I already know that you slept with Mr.Knight to gain other people’s position. Although I don't even know what's so special about you, all I see in front of me is a slutty blonde bimbo.” She sneered at me again and I would be lying if I said that didn’t hurt me at all. I tried so hard not to let my tears out, curse me for being too sensitive because I’m not used to get insults from other people. Let alone directly on my face.
“I-I’m sorry for causing all of this, I didn’t mean to take your friend’s job” I apologize to her but she didn’t believe it. Instead she gave me disgusting look.
“Don’t you faking-”
“What’s going on here?” Josh’s voice suddenly cut her venomous words as he approaching us and then he stands beside me, the woman turn 360° from a tiger to a kitten as she sees him.
“Nothing, I just advise her not to come late to work baby, you know it is already lunchtime” she said it rather sweet and seductively, I just stood there baffled at her sudden change.
“Shut up bitch.” I gasped at Josh, the woman too. We really didn’t expect that, when I saw Josh’s face, he’s downright furious and it’s scary.
“Why baby?”
“I heard it just now. You dare to insult my sister?!!” His voice getting higher and I tried to comfort him by resting my palm on his shoulder. He snapped his head towards me and giving me disapproving looks.
“Don’t Leah, anyone can insult me but not my family,” He turn his eyes back to the woman again. “FYI slut, your friend Amy was worse on her job, all she do was fucking any male she could get, she’s lucky we transferred her to another company but not your sorry ass, you're fired! You hear me? FIRED.” He said in anger. The woman trembling in fear and shock by Josh’s sudden outburst. I even a glimpse of tears in her eyes.
“But I thought you love me,” he chuckled, “I never love cheap bitch like you, I didn’t say anything about love, you’re the one who exaggerated.” The woman now is crying and humiliated of course because our small argument attracts other staff's attentions. She then suddenly ran away leaving us, and I was going to follow her but my brother stops me.
“Why did you do that? Look at her now. You are so mean Josh. That's not the way to treat a lady even if she's bad.” I'm really upset at how he handled her. Now I'm the one who's giving him disapproving look.
“I’m sorry for my word sis, but I’m not sorry on how I treated her, she deserves it after she insulted you first.” I rarely saw Josh getting so riled up like this but I know that he intends to protect me, like always. So I nod already forgive him and he changed again into cheerful brother, I swear he’s so weird but I love him. He said that the other would join us for lunch so we will wait for them here at the lobby.
“I can’t wait to see his reaction, it would be mind blowing!” He said cheerfully while I looks like a prisoner who is waiting for his death sentence. It's like he forgot what just happened earlier, he really is weird.
“You all shouldn’t do that, it’s awful Josh,” I advised him but knowing Josh my words already thrown off the cliff and eaten by sharks.
“And let go the chance after all these years we wait to mess with him? NEVER.” He said it mischievously, Josh is the naughtiest among those three but never mind because I myself also would want to see how he’s going to react later.
“I think he wouldn’t mind, after all his previous girls are sexier than me,” I said that casually while hiding my jealousy on mentioning about his past women. Again, insecurities strikes.
“Mistresses, and I think not.” He said confidently.
Josh is always right, because the moment Ian’s excited eyes landed on me, his gaze were dark. It’s dangerous, and he’s really pissed off. On the other side, I sense that three of them silently snickered at Ian’s reaction. I could feel his sharp stares stabs my body repeatedly and I would be lying if I said I don’t feel bubbly inside.
“Change.” He said it menacingly after they reached us both.
“Why? It’s beautiful, don’t you think?” I said it innocently, I decided to play along.
“Did you force her to wear this Josh?” he asked while maintaining his gaze on me, he even emphasize Josh’s name to show that he’s extremely pissed off.
“No, I’m the one who want to wear it, I like the style plus everybody wear like this,” I tried to make Josh off the hook and I did it when I heard Ian sighed in defeat.
“Not you Jellyface, I don’t want any man looks at you with lust!” he said it with exasperation.
“I still wear this whether you like it or not Teddy,” I tried looking so tough but inside I already want to run away to get change but I want to play more. I think the boys satisfied because Ian’s face went downright sullen and darker than the pit of black hole with my decision and they enjoyed every single of it. “I swear I would kill any men that stare you,” he said it to himself and how happy I am when I heard it. This is the best decision ever! Bravo to my brothers! The rest of the lunch didn’t go well but not too bad, we’re eating but Ian barely touch his food because he’s busy eyeing and glaring any men nearby, poor them but not for us four, we enjoyed the food better.
When we headed back to the office, Ian still gripped my hand in his and walked too fast to the point I almost stumbled on my step but I tried to catch up. My brothers on the other hand enjoyed this situation very much, they even gave me thumbs up when Ian practically dragged me into his office. Dragged! I was afraid on what he’s going to do when we were alone. The moment we entered his office, he locked the door and the sound of the lock clicked causing goosebumps all over my body. Ian still didn’t say anything to me, he dragged me again towards his large desk then he cleared the papers on it to both sides before he lifted me and make me sit on the edge of the table. After that, he quickly rested his hands both on my sides trapping me in his own cage as he leveled his face near me and looks at me like a predator looking at his prey.
“Anything you want to say now Jellyface,” his voice is low and husky making me nervous, I think my heart is going to explode.
“Nice room and desk,” I replied awkwardly. He smirked like always but this time mischievously.
“I don’t think it is the right answer Leah, Did you enjoyed messing with me out there?”
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I’m starting to think that you want me to punish you so bad.” I gasped.
“That’s not true! I-I don’t know anything,” He move his mouth near my ear, this closeness with him starting to affects me more than I already is.
“You wouldn’t want to know what I’m imagining about when you’re in a position sitting on my desk wearing this provocative clothes.” He whispered and I’m in utter shock by his action. With a glint of mischief he then faces me back while smirking at me. I gasped again when I felt his hand gently caressing my exposed thigh right now, I don’t even have the time to react when he slammed his lips on my lips kissing me roughly, he vent all his frustration earlier through the kiss before he slowly made his lips all the way to my jawline and then my neck. I’m so hot right now, my mind clouded with his kisses. He attacked my lips again after my neck and then we pulled away for some air. I’m totally flustered and messed up right now,Ian stood in front of me slightly panting while his gaze fixed on me. We looked into each other’s eyes before he smiled beautifully. He traces his thumb softly on my swollen lips looking satisfied.
“I love your swollen lips after we kissed, I’ve been waiting to kiss you since this morning. Those assholes really testing my patience this whole day.” I scowled at him and then I punched him on his chest.
“Ow! I didn’t know my Jellyface is rough,” he said it while chuckling obviously liking my reaction.
“This isn’t how employer and employee do Ian, and no cursing especially about my brothers.” I said to him as a matter a fact.
“Really? I thought differently,” he said that casually earning another punch from me. I know it didn’t affect him at all because he’s only faking to be hurt.
“If you pull that kind of stunt again, I would not hesitate to punish you,” he said seriously.
“Stop saying the ‘punish’ words, it’s creepy.”
“Deny it all you can, you love it anyway,” he said it teasingly.
“Oh yeah, I want to punish you badly too,” I mocked him.
He raised his eyebrows amused, “hmmm..kinky.”
“Hey! It’s a joke you nugget. I'm not going fifty shades on you,” He laughed at me and I found myself mesmerized by his laugh, he shook his head lightly at me while still have that amused expression plastered on his face. He lifted me off his desk then motions me to sit on the chair before he went to sit on his own chair in front of me. He leaned on his chair looking at me while smirking, why did men love to smirk? Why I find myself always melting only by looking that smirk on this fine specimen in front of me?
“I wanted to say that I would always be strict in work even if it is to you, because I need to be professional.” I think my light of hope on saying that I’m a special person for him even in his work mode just died. I've watched too much romantic movie. “But the incident during lunch hour just made me doubt myself,” YES. The light went bright again, shine bright like a freaking diamond! I guess there is some truth in movie. I beamed showing him that I’m extremely happy with that. “You really like that don’t you, aren’t you suppose to hide your likeness on the idea of me being bias in work?” He chuckled.
“Oh really? Yeah, don’t do that Teddy, it’s not fair to others,” I feigned after he told me to hide it, maybe I shouldn’t beamed after this, okay. Noted. Suddenly he laughed again, he’s laughing until I can see tears glistening in his eyes, I should be confused by now but seeing him having such a content laugh giving me great pleasure but still, I don’t know what so funny so I smiled at him awkwardly. Did I just make the funniest joke in this universe?
“Oh my God Leah, did you just literally acting after I told you so?” he asked me between his laugh while wiping off the tears that I saw just now. When I make the –of-course-duhhhh- look, he erupted in laugh again making me even think that my Teddy has gone crazy already. “Silly girl, my silly but cute girl,” he stopped laughing but now he’s chuckling. After the scene where he laughed at my unknown attempt of making a joke, he showed me my table where I would work which is just right on the left side of the office in front of his desk and he also taught me a few basic thing that I need to do when I officially work tomorrow including organize few files that he needs for meetings. He also brought me for a tour around his company which gaining few-, scratch that almost all curious looks from his staff because according to Liam, Ian rarely went to the other department except the boys office let alone touring a staff, let alone a personal assistant. I know that after I visited their each office even though I already saw their office before. We all then went to dinner after work, this time it went well than the lunch earlier.
Me and Ian reached home after dinner then we went straight to shower, after that I decided to watch my favourite show Orange is the new Black and soon Ian joined me in the living room. Currently we’re both sitting on the couch while sipping the hot chocolate that I made while talking because we thought it still early to sleep after we finished watching the drama earlier.
“Have we ever met before Leah?” I try to remember anything, I may be a forgetful person but if it’s involve someone as gorgeous as a Greek god like Ian I would always remember but since there’s nothing in my brain data about meeting him so I guess not.
“No, I never saw you before.” I said seriously because I don’t want him to think that I’m joking right now. He seems to be in deep thought after hearing my answer.
“But I’m all over the internet and news, I may be not as famous as Justin Bieber but still I have a reputation so it’s weird actually.”
“I don’t always socialize so that explains it, I’m an introvert person, and my life rotates on the same circle. If your reputation means your player ways? Yes I’ve heard it before but I pay no attention to it,” Ian sighed obviously not liking the idea of his reputation inside my brain. “You know it’s all in the past Jellyface, if I had known that Liam has you as his sister, we would surely met years ago. Come to think of that, it’s weird that me and those three are close but I never met you and you even said that you always came to their office. I mean I should have taken interest in his family before, I can’t believe I just wasted years of my life.” I just went awww with his words.
“But now we met already, so nothing changed.” I smiled gratefully at him.
“I feel jealous because my own cousin has known you for years,” he frowned.
“Well because they have been best friends since college, that’s why,” I stated as a matter a fact.
“Talk about best friend, why I don’t see you with one except for Carla? I don’t think you and Carla were close enough to be called as one. I always want to ask you but only now I had a chance to do it.” He now looks at me curiously, but I only reply his looks with a smile that not each my face.
“Maybe that is the perks of having sinfully gorgeous male specimen on your side as your brothers. The girls had other intentions when they were being my friend and I always knew that but I never said it because I tried not to be a weird sociopath nerd like the students always said.” I noticed Ian’s grip on the mug got tighter during my storytelling but I ignored it as I continue. “One day, there’s this pretty girl wanted to be friend with me and I accept it because she’s different from the others. Long story short, she liked David actually but because David rejected her, she betrayed me by exposing my secret to the other students. It was horrible, and it went on double horrible if you’re a typical introverted nerd with pimples on your face.” I chuckled with no sense of humor in it. I didn’t realize I zoned out until I feel that Ian already hugging me tight with my head on his chest and he kissed the top of my head.
“I’m sorry about that, it’s not your fault.” He soothed me and I find it very calming.
“It’s fine, at first it’s hurt but now I’m fine with it but not with my brothers. They went crazy after that with all the glaring and mean behavior, even Josh stop his player ways for months all to avoid from other girl hurting me again. They banned all girls from getting close to me and them but it didn’t last because nobody can resist the temptation of their faces and glories.” This time I chuckled like I mean it because it’s so funny and I heard Teddy scoffed amusedly at that. Now it’s time for me to ask him back.
“How about you? Do you have any best friend?” I craned my head to look at Ian and I saw sad look on his face making me already guilty for asking him. I am about to stop him from answering my question but he already beat me to it. “I had, but he’s gone,” The words choked out of him, so I did what I think will sooth him. I put down my mug on the table and then I rest my palm on his chest beside my face and it worked out.
“I’m sorry about that too, can you tell me more about him Teddy?” he kissed my head before continue.
“That’s okay Jellyface, his name is Adam. We’ve been friends since high school, to make it more detail I met him during my rebellious stage, typical teen problems. He’s the definite version of school bad boy but he had been a good friend to me. I lost him in an accident that’s why I don’t have any best friend after him.”
“But, I think I have a new best friend,” I look at him with raised eyebrows.
“Who?”
“Leah Alexandra Quinn.” He said my name with a perfect smile on his perfect face.
“I think I like it,” I replied while smiling into his chest.
“Good to know that. By the way, I just broke one of my promises to you and I’m not sorry.”
I smiled, “I know, I love it that’s why I didn’t say anything about it.” It’s true, I love it when he don’t need to control anything just because we’re both not in a relationship.
“I wanted to keep it but I guess seeing you okay and healthy can’t stop myself from kissing your tempting plump lips each time I have the chance,” I chuckled at his words.
When I heard his private story that he never share, and he heard my story that I never share, I know that we already one step further in this uncertain relationship which is building trust on each other and it’s true what they always say about silver lining because after certain incidents happened, we both appreciate each other and not afraid to express how we feel especially Ian who suddenly went over attached on me ever since I woke up at the hospital. As for me, I think I’m ready to give the answer he’s been waiting for all this time and I hope this will be the best choice.
