It was the next day and I went to have my usual breakfast in the dining hall.

On the way, I met Mr. Min who was in a rush to bring some paperwork in the work room where my father probably was as well. We greeted each other, but his tone seemed really cold. He probably didn't think much of me after the scene I had caused at the banquet.

I was wondering if he regretted asking my father to bring me here after all. Overhearing them argue that night, mixing into Yoongi's life a little too much and causing scenes at events that might damage his popularity... In his eyes, I probably wasn't a very good influence on his son.

I proceeded to the huge hall where my plate was already waiting for me, as well as Yoongi.

"Good morning", he wished.
Seemed to me as if it had become a tradition for us two to eat together.

Hoseok hadn't been there for a while so we got used to being alone. I guessed that he had returned a few days ago, since his party was tonight.

"Don't you need your pills?", I reminded him upon seeing him start.

"Not anymore", Yoongi replied, taking another bite. He was even demotivated while eating, so he had his food very slowly.

"How come?"

He just rolled his eyes, suddenly making me feel guilty for asking him.
It must have been hard always being treated like a kid.

"I haven't been feeling bad lately, so I don't need them today."

I nodded in realization, feeling happy for him. That way definitely a good thing that he started feeling better.
I wondered if something changed to make him feel that way. Probably the fact that he could finally tell someone about the whole thing with Minah? Maybe it was a relief when he told me about it the day before?

But then again, Minah's death wasn't the only thing causing his depression. It was also about his whole family situation. I still didn't know much about that.

"How come you broke off your therapy, if I may ask?" I dared to take that road.

He swallowed a piece of his bread.
"My father is under the impression that depression is for weaklings. Plus, if someone found out I needed therapy would ruin his reputation."

I was boiling. That man had problems and I would kick his ass one day.

Maybe if we had more time together, I would have had a chance of doing that. But also getting to know Yoongi even better and making him a happier person. I just would have given anything for that at that point.

"So is going to the party tonight okay with your father?", I asked him.

He just gave me a short sceptical look.
"What about yours?"

So he was attacking with another question.
"I'm sure he'll be fine with it if you are there too."

Yoongi just nodded.
"My father said he didn't care about what I did anymore. After the banquet he said to just do whatever I want."

I shivered imagining a furious Mr. Min yelling at his son for bringing me to the hospital instead of staying at the event.

"But that's a good thing, isn't it? You can do whatever you want to do in the future now", I consulted him.

"Right, maybe. Anyways, are you even allowed to go to a party with the condition you're in?"
His lips parted while looking up and down on me.

I pouted.
"I'm not sick, you know?"

"I know."
Crinkles on his eyes appeared, he gave a slight smile that seemed very elegant.

Before standing up from the table, he leaned in to tell me something.
"Wear something nice, like at the banquet", he smirked and left quickly before I could even register what he had just said.

He left the room, leaving me in a state of shock.

THAT PERVERT I KNEW HE WAS CHECKING ME OUT THAT NIGHT

So it was official, Min Yoongi was a closet pervert. Not only had he taken me to his room after me getting drunk, but he also had the nerve to check me out in that dress.

My face was red and I was glad that he couldn't see it. The well known nervousness appeared again realizing that we were going to Hoseok's New Year's Eve party together.

Later in the evening, we started getting ready for the event. I wasn't sure if I should listen to Yoongi and actually wear the dress, or if I should wear something else as a sign of protest.

In the end, I took something else- but only because this was a New Year's party, and black wasn't the best color for a happy celebration like this.

As I came down the stairs, I was again baffled my Yoongi's visuals. He could really look nice if he wasn't always wearing oversized black sweaters.

He had a jaquette on, which wasn't as elegant as the suit and ties one would normally wear at formal events, but it was still graceful, considering he was the one wearing it.

He always looked good.

Yoongi seemed just as equally satisfied with my looks as with the other dress.

"Stop looking", I warned him, and pushed him a little.

He looked at me in the dress a while longer before parting his lips to say something, but was interrupted by the opening of a door somewhere in the main hall.

My dad passed by and saw us all being all fancy.
"Oh are you heading out for the party?"

I had told him beforehand so that he wouldn't worry.
"Yeah, see you tomorrow probably", I laughed.

Dad just gave us a grin before running off with some papers in his hand.
"You both look great. Have fun and be safe kids."

This time, I was actually going to try and have fun, unlike the first party I was at. With Hoseok there, I felt even safer and more determined to not ruin anyone's night. Yoongi and I walked out, him leading me to their garage which I hadn't noticed beforehand.

My jaw dropped as he opened the door to at least ten sparkling, brand new-looking cars. He went over to a metallic-colored BMW and opened the door for me politely.

"Is this your car?", I raised an eyebrow.

He rolled his eyes.
"No. I'm just pretending, to impress you", he replied sarcastically and showed me to get in. Well, being a rich CEO's son had its advantages. I got in and waited for him to get into the driver's seat.

"Hoseok's house is actually close, but it isn't safe walking back at night. Especially not on New Year's Eve", he said as he got the engine running.

It made a beautiful roaring sound as soon as he had turned the keys. I awed, admiring the leather seats. The cars in here must have cost a lot. Yoongi just smiled as he drove out of the garage to the small street. He only had one hand on the steering wheel, making him look dead sexy.

I couldn't help but notice some kind of tension in him, though. He seemed to be worried about something.

"You okay?", I asked.

He took a short look away from the street.
"Yeah, why?", he lied.
I could tell he was lying.

"Nothing", I just muttered, playing with my hair.
Damn I had just made it awkward.

"You-"

"I-"

We had just spoken at the same time and had interrupted each other.
After a short pause, he spoke.

"Ladies first", he said, smiling.

Great, this was even more awkward now.
"I just- uh, wanted to say that you look nice."

I could have sworn I saw a smile flash on his face. Before he could say anything else, I awkwardly interrupted: "What did you want to say?"

He glanced over to me shortly before resting his eyes on the road again, seeming just as awkward as I was.
"I wanted to say that you really look beautiful tonight."

His words trailed off a little, as if he got more quiet saying them. I felt dizzy. Maybe it was the aftermath of the poisoning, I didn't know. Min Yoongi had just given me a compliment.

"Thanks", I awkwardly mumbled out, making him laugh.

The tension was back and my instinct told me to start talking again.
"What's with the sudden nice and honest you?"

He had really been nice for the past days and it made me wonder why.

His lip angle twitched again as he licked over his lips.
"I don't know. I guess I saw no point in trying to keep you away from me anymore."

My eyebrows furrowed together. True, he had obviously been cold to me, but I thought that was just the way he was, with Hoseok too.
Yoongi had become different after I had come back from the hospital.

"Keep me away?"

"Yeah... I was afraid of getting you in danger. You found out about Minah anyways, so there's no point in doing so anymore."

I nodded in understanding.
"I'm glad."

He seemed as if there was something left unsaid.

We soon arrived in front of another mansion which I already knew belonged to Hoseok.

I guessed only rich people lived in this town.

Yoongi and I got out of the vehicle, leaving it among many other expensive-looking sports cars, probably from the other guests at Hoseok's party.

"Looks like a big party", I commented, feeling a little nervous again. Then again, was it because of the party or because of the hot guy standing next to me?

Yoongi seemed to not have been pleased by this either. Nevertheless, we walked up to the front door and rang the bell, wondering how anyone could even hear it next to that loud music.

A bright shining Hoseok opened the door for us.
"YOU GUUUUYS!!!", he screamed and hugged us both.
"You doing okay Y/N?"

"Yes, thank you", I smiled.

Hoseok grinned widely as he let us enter. It looked as if not many people were drunk yet, so that was a good sign.

"Make yourselves at home, it's gonna be a long night", Hoseok giggled and handed us some beer.

Yoongi immediately took mine ouf my hand, placing it away. I frowned, but figured that he was right. Enough scandals had been caused already.

"Y/N!"
A worried-looking Jimin came running towards us. Yoongi gave a soft sigh, but didn't move from the spot.

"You're well?", Jimin asked.
He seemed surprised. We hadn't talked after the whole scandal at the banquet.

"Yes, thanks. It was poisoning and drugging, but I'm fine now", I informed him as if it was nothing.

He nodded, looking a little curious and worried at the same time. His gaze travelled to Yoongi, then to me again.
"So sorry to hear. I hope the person responsible is found soon."

Yoongi and he were in the middle of a staring battle as he spoke again.
"I'll leave you guys now, I'll see you around."
His eyes rested solely on Yoongi before he turned away.

Yoongi grunted as he left, making me chuckle. We were at a party now and were supposed to have fun. The both of us walked through the crowd, not really up to dancing. I guess we were similar in that aspect.

Yoongi kept glancing onto his phone as if he was expecting an message and seemed to have received it just a few moments later. His expression wasn't easy to read, but it seemed to have been something important as he said: "I'm sorry, I need to go and take care of something."

My disappointment wasn't easy to hide.
"Why? Did something happen?"

He just shook his head in a rush.
"I'll be back soon."

Since my expression didn't change much, he gave a weak smile.
"Just stick close to Hoseok so nothing happens to you."

And he was gone.

Where did he go? What was so urgent that he had to leave as soon as we got here?

I decided to walk around the house a little. It was similar to Jimin's in a way, because of the huge glass windows from the ceiling down to the ground. The beach was clearly visible from the inside of the house.

Soon, I reached Hoseok who was chatting with some friends.

"Y/N! Let me introduce you, these are Taehyung and Jungkook."
He introduced me to his two younger friends who both smiled shyly.
I nodded towards them politely.

"Where is Yoongi?", Hoseok asked worriedly as he noticed that he wasn't by my side.

"He had to take care of something. He'll be back soon."
I couldn't hide the disappointment in my tone.

Hoseok pulled a face.
"And he left you standing here by yourself? What an ass", he laughed, knowing Yoongi well.

I hung around him and his friends for a while, constantly looking at the time.
Will he be back soon?

As almost 40 minutes had passed, I took out my phone to text him.

Me:
Yoongi will you come back soon?

After not receiving a response for another 10 minutes, I decided to call him.

He wasn't picking up, or better said, he wasn't available. It seemed as if he was either talking to someone else or didn't have any connection. I got even more worried than I had already been and tried calling him several times, without success.

Just then, my phone vibrated. Almost desperately, I turned on my screen, hoping for an answer from him, but was just frozen instead.

Private number:
Come to the cliffs if you want to see Yoongi again.

A shiver ran down my spine.
Who was this and how did they have my number? Was Yoongi in danger?!

Also, did he know about this? I had noticed him acting all strange, as if he had known that something was going to happen, looking at his phone all the time. Panicked, I rushed out of the house, ignoring a worried Hoseok behind me.

My mind was a mess, but I managed to get a good sense of orientation once I had gotten outside. It was freezing cold and I only had the dress on, another reason why we had taken the car.

Hoseok's house truly wasn't far from Yoongi's so I ran for the direction of the cliffs, not thinking of anything else apart from Yoongi.

Please be okay!

I took that the person who had sent that message was the one that wanted to poison me at the banquet that day. It only made sense that they were aiming for Yoongi and me - But why?

Feeling nervous, I thought about calling the police. But I realized that the person who sent the message could just harm Yoongi if they saw that I had called them.

~

I was running up the grassy path to the cliff walking area. The familiar ocean breeze hit me even stronger than usual because of the intensity of the cold and the sound of the harshly hitting waves on the coast.

My mind was blurry, only hoping to find Yoongi safe.

As I reached the top, I was out of breath. I had never run so fast in my entire life, and felt stupid for doing so. For it was only then, that I noticed that I would be needing that energy for something else.

Because, the person who was waiting for me wasn't Yoongi.
