a ray of sunshine
i seem to be,
but there's a storm
inside of me.
sometimes my eyes would show you
a drop of rain,
tears in disguise
i hide the pain.
what good would it bring

how stormy i feel inside?

me if i still chose to
tell you i'm alright?
so i let you believe
that i'm the brightest star,
that i'm your ray of sunshine
and your light in the dark.
'cause i never want you to
hope for a sunny day,
tomorrow and the next days
like i've been doing all my life.
as the sun hides
behind the dark clouds,
and as the rain
never stopped...
i smiled.
but the smile
never reached
my eyes.
