It felt like waking up after a long dream, confused and not knowing whether I had woken up or was still dreaming. I had no idea how much time had passed, nor how I had ended up in the hospital bed.

The clock on the wall said it was almost 10pm, but there was no date.

My head turned to the nurse who had just entered the room. She immediately ran out again, calling a doctor as if a phenomenon had just occured. A group of doctors came to my room to fill me in on what had happened.

"You were the subject of mass drugging and poisoning, it's a miracle that you survived."
The doctor clapped my shoulder.
"Thankfully, your immune system was strong enough to hold out until we managed to extract all the poison from your blood."

Now that he mentioned it, I felt really dizzy. They had probably taken a lot of blood.

A younger police officer approached the bed.
"Miss Y/N, you were at a banquet when this happened, am I correct?"

That was right right. I had been talking to Yoongi and then I had just passed out. My head was still fuzzy and my mind was too clouded to exactly recall everything.

"I know this might be early asking, but do you remember consuming any food or drinks that might have been altered with?", he interrogated me.

I thought about it for a moment.

"I didn't have any of the food and I got a drink from-"

My eyes widened. Yoongi had been serving the wine at the party.

The doctors and the police officer were waiting for my answer.
"I was offered to me. It was one out of multiple glasses, so other people would have been affected as well."

There was disappointment on the officer's face.
"And you're sure nobody had the chance to put anything in there?"

I hesitantly nodded. Nobody apart from Yoongi...

"We will inform your father that you are well. You can go home by tomorrow evening", the doctor informed me.

I stopped him before exiting.
"What day is it today?"

"December 28th, you're lucky that you can be home with your family for New Year's."

So I had been out for 3 days. I guessed I missed Christmas then.

"Can you please tell my father to not tell anyone else that I'm well and not to come visit?", I requested.

The doctor confusedly nodded and left me alone in the room. My head hurt because of the blood loss, but even more because of the thoughts going through my head. Why would Yoongi have put something in my drink? It didn't make sense.

Was it because I knew about Minah? He did warn me about being dangerous. Was thia what he had meant? No, I was overthinking, that was nonsense. Yoongi would have never done something like that.

Still, I held it for the better not to see him until I returned back to the house.

I spent my time watching TV and reading magazines the whole time since I couldn't really sleep anymore. The next day flew by as well, with a few checkups and blood tests.

A nurse was looking after me.
"Was the boy who brought you here your boyfriend?"

I squeezed my eyes, not knowing what she meant.

"A dark haired boy was the one who brought you here along with your father. He came by to visit afterwards too", she chuckled.

Yoongi? I wondered if he was worried about me, even if it was just a little.
Or did he want to check if I was already dead?

The nurse took a blood sample for examaining and later on told me I was good to go home.

"Have lots of rest for the next week or two, and no physical exercise", the doctor instructed me. I gave him a bow after thanking him and went out of the building where my dad was already waiting for me.

My overjoyed father hugged me tightly, almost breaking out in tears.
"Don't worry honey, we'll catch the person who did this. The police are already investigating."

I shrugged a little. If they got the information that Yoongi had been serving the drinks, he would be in trouble.

"Let's go home, shall we?", he suggested, getting in our car.

"You didn't want me to tell Mr. Min and Yoongi because you wanted to surprise them, right?"

"Sure", I absently agreed.

"Yoongi was really worried about you", dad said, making me curious all of a sudden.
"He looked really despressed and kept visiting the hospital several times a day."

Okay, that was a little creepy knowing that he was staring at my sleeping face every day, but I couldn't push away the warning Jimin had given me. He said to be careful around Yoongi.

"Mr. Min said we should stay a week longer, until you've fully recovered."

Somehow, that made me happy. A lot of days had already passed and the end of the holidays were near, but it was good knowing that I still had a chance to talk to Yoongi a bit more and clarify everything.

After another few minutes, we were already in front of the huge residence of the Min family. I sighed deeply with a racing heart, knowing that I was about to see Yoongi again.

I didn't know whether to feel excited or scared. He was the only person that came into mind when thinking of the poisoning. My dad opened the door and we entered. Even if I hadn't been here for just 4 days, it seemed like forever.

Mr. Min appeared from one of the doors.
"Y/N, I'm glad you're feeling better", he said, giving me a pat on the shoulder. His tone seemed cold, though.

"Is Yoongi here?"
That was the first thing that came to my mind.

Mr. Min's face darkened a little.
"He should be in his room."

I wondered what made him pull that face.Without thinking much, I went to see Yoongi upstairs. My heart was racing for some reason, but I could tell it wasn't fear. It was something else, like an excitement to see his face again and to hear voice. Funny how he could have been the person who had poisoned me, but I still ached to see him.

Upon arriving in front of his door, I knocked quietly. Receiving no answer, I knocked again, a little louder. There was still silence, so I just decided to open the door myself.

Yoongi was lying on his bed, his arm covering his eyes.

"Yoongi?", I whispered, not sure whether he was sleeping.

He shrugged, peeking underneath his arm to look at me. His body rose to a sitting position quickly, examining me with tired, squeezed eyes. There were dark circles underneath them.

"Y/N?", he asked in a weird tone.

"I'm back from the hospital, I just wanted to let you know", I said quietly, not wanting to disturb him.
How was he going to react?

His mouth parted as if he wanted to say something, but instead he got up and almost ran to me, pulling me into an embrace.

"Wh-what are you doing??", I exclaimed, knewing it wasn't typical for him.

"Shut up", he commanded, pressing me tighter.

I did what he said and took him in my arms as well. He smelled of mint and his body felt warm against mine. His breath was tickling my ear, which made my heart beat even faster. He couldn't have poisoned me.

After seemingly forever, he let go of me. Examining me carefully again, his face showed concern.
"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I just need some rest", I weakly smiled.
My cheeks felt warm, but I knew I was probably even paler than Yoongi because of my stay at the hospital.

"What exactly happened to you? You just blacked out "

I shrugged.
"The doctor said it was drugging and poisoning, probably the food or drinks."

His expression went blank, realizing that he had been the one who had served the drinks.

"I didn't-"

I nodded in relief, just wanting to believe him.
"I know."

He sighed deeply.
"Thank you."

He's so weird. Why is he so concerned and soft all of a sudden.

"Well it's not that big of a deal. I guess I'm just an unlucky person", I laughed nervously, not much to his amusement.

"Don't say that. You could have died", he argued, sounding strict.
"And you're not just unlucky, someone definitely did that on purpose."

I froze. "Are you saying someone was targeting me specifically?"

Yoongi hesitantly nodded.
"Maybe... but the wine was definitely fine when you took it from me."

So that meant that someone drugged it while I wasn't looking? I gave him a scared look.

He closed his eyes and sighed again.
"Damn it... If only I had kept a better eye on you."

"It's not your fault", I tried to calm him. He was suddenly so different.

"Do you remember leaving your drink unattended anywhere?"

I thought about it, but the memories of the party were really blurry in my mind.
"I don't think so?"

Yoongi pressed his lips together in disappointment. He traced a little through the room, thinking out loud.
"Why would anyone want to target you?"

"Maybe I wasn't the one they wanted", I suggested, thinking about how many people disliked Yoongi because of the whole Minah story.

He bit his lip.
"It's possible."

As he continued walking through his room with crossed arms, it fell quiet. He seemed to be so concentrated while thinking about it and I couldn't help but feel touched about his concern.

"What was that hug for?", I decided to change the topic.

His gaze met mine, seeming lost.
"Don't get used to it. It was just a one time thing."

I laughed at his insecurity. I knew that I shouldn't hope that much, because he probably still had feelings for Minah. He could be so different when he showed some emotion.

"The nurse told me you visited. Were you worried about me?", I teased, trying to make it sound like a joke even though I really wanted to know.

His lips parted to show his gummy smile again, killing me.

"I was checking to see if you were dead already", he sarcastically said, also sending a shiver down my spine.

I smiled to myself. Maybe he did worry a little after all.?

There was silence for a moment.

Yoongi cleared his throat.
"About what happened at Jimin's house a few days ago."

Did he mean the fight we had? I had almost forgotten about that, but I remembered that he had wanted to talk to me about that at the banquet before I had passed out.

"I'm sorry for yelling", he just mumbled quietly.

Oh my god, he actually apolgized?

It was the first time he had admitted a mistake.

"It's okay. I already forgot about it", I nervously said.

He shook his head.
"You were right about everything you yelled at me for. I'm an idiot and I know it."

"You're not. You just had a difficult life and that's not your fault", I told him, taking a look at the scars on his wrists which were almost healed.

That seemed to have been what he had wanted to hear.

"Don't worry, I stopped."
He smiled weakly after following my gaze to his wrists. I felt my heart becoming a lot more light-weighted - or so it seemed.

I felt so much better knowing that he didn't harm himself anymore. Then, to my disappointment, he changed the topic.

"You should go and get some rest now. It would take a while to explain everything, but I promise you that I will."

I wanted to know so badly. Jimin had said Yoongi loved Minah, but it didn't fit together with everything I had heard from Yoongi.

"Did you know a person that died here?"

"Yeah but... the person wasn't as important to me."

I tried to hide my disappointment and nodded.  He was right, I needed rest. I knew that I had been close to dying, but it somehow felt so unreal. Everyone else seemed so much more concerned about it than I was. Even Yoongi still had a serious look on his face after opening the door for me.

He wished me a good night and looked out of his door until I had gone up the stairs.

Before I went back to sleep I had to think about the events of the past few days. Sure, I was scared of the thought that someone wanted to have me dead, but I just couldn't fully grasp it. In a way, I felt safe while having Yoongi around me, and I saw that as a good thing.

The piano melody he started playing this evening was a calm, but quick one. As if he was stressed about something. It was useful having Yoongi play the piano every night. Not only did it tell me what he was feeling, but it also helped me fall asleep while thinking about him.

Maybe I was just imagining it, but my heart fluttered every time I thought about him. The hug. I remembered it so clearly. His smell, his breath, his arms holding me...

Was it possible that I liked him more than I wanted to admit?
