Corey's P.O.V
It was the next morning. I got out of bed and got my beanie and put it on. I was just wearing my shorts right now. I grabbed my shirt and slipped it on. I grabbed my phone and went down stairs to have breakfast. I saw my mom making pancakes and bacon. I sat down on my chair. My mom smiled at me. My dad's face was stuck in his newspaper. My mom put a plate in front of me. Written in bacon it said use protection. "What the hell?!" I asked standing up from my chair.
"Well you and Laney have been dating for long tim-" I didn't let her finish
"I don't wanna do that now... I like her for not having... um...it." I didn't want to say it out loud
"Okay." She said. I wasn't really hungry anymore.
I went to the groj and started to tune my guitar. I saw the groj door open. It was Kin and Kon. Dang it. I wanted to see Lanes. I sighed."Hey guys." I got up from the stage and sat down on the couch
"Hey Corey where's Laney?" Kon asked
"Not really sure I'll text her." I got my phone out and started to type.
Me: Hey u up?
Lanes: Yea on my way. At the groj door.
I saw the groj door open. It was Laney. I smiled at her. She smiled back. I went over to her and hugged her. I kissed her cheek and got on the stage. "What's our next gig Corey?" Kin asked
"I got one at Mayor Mellow's birthday bash. Everyone will be there. So you guys in?" I asked
"Totally." Laney said
"Great how bout you guys?" I asked
"Yup." The both giggled
"Why so giggly?" Laney asked
"Cuz look at the sign above you." Kin said laughing
I looked up. The sign said use protection. I started to blush. I could tell Lanes was blushing a little two. "Damn it mom !" I yelled
"Its fine Core." She said quietly
"No its not. I'm not even ready yet. Wait are you?" I asked her
"Of course not." She stated
"That's good....i think." I said
"Yeah it is so I don't get pregnant. Then the band won't get ruined." She said
That was a good thing we agreed on. I didn't need to be a dad yet. I started to go take the latter and take the sign down. Good thing it was paper. Otherwise I would hurt them.
"Any song ideas?" Lanes asked
"Nope not yet." I said
"But Core." She started to whine
"Shhhh stop stressing out." I grabbed her in a bear hug
"Aw." Kon said
We looked at Kon after our hug. I went to the back to taking notes. Maybe Lanes should make lyrics? She did good last time.
"How bout you right lyrics." I told Laney
"I don't know." She said
"Come on. Your lyrics last time were good. More than good. Amazing." I told her
"I guess." She said
"Yay." Kon yelled hugging her
"I-I ca-can't-t br-ea-th." She panted
"Kon you can't break her." I said running over to her
"That's your job." He let go of her. Wait what?
"Really dude." I said now understanding what he meant
"Yers." He said winking
"Shut up down there!!!" It was Trina
"Why should I?" I heard Laney ask
"Because I'm dreaming about Meroshband to not even be exciting." Trina said coming down the stairs
"At least I'm not obsessed with a boy I will never be with. Because that sounds like you." Laney said
My jaw dropped. Trina just stormed up in diary mode. She was so angry. I caught her diary. Wow Laney just got us lyrics.
"I'll take that." Trina snached her diary from my hands. Damn it!
"Well I guess sing a cover of a song." Laney said
"I guess so." Kin said
"Okay what song?" I asked
"Monster by Skillet." Lanes said grinning
"Great song choice let's practice." I said
Laney's P.O.V
I started to tune my bass. We were doing a cover for the first time. We had no choice. But it was a good song we were playing. Skillet was like my idol. Like how bieber was my girly favorite singer. I had guilt liking him. But his songs did have a good beat. That's really all I listened to in his songs. Anyways, we were performing my favorite song. We then got welcomed on stage. "Happy birthday Mayor." Corey said
"Count us off Kon." Core said
We finished the song then got cheers. I smiled at the crowd and then looked at Core. He smiled at me. I felt my cheeks heat up. He came over to me. He kissed my cheek. He put his arm around me. I saw Katie and Alison fan girl. And saw other people cheer. I started to blush a little. Core gave me the microphone. "Thank you Peaceville." I said and walked off the stage
I went over to the punch bowl. I then saw the newmans. I saw Carrie glare at me. What did I do to her? I saw Larry come over to me. He smiled. Why was he smiling. "Hhh-hey Laney." He stuttered
"Hi Larry." I said fake smiling. I didn't hate him. Just he was kinda weird.
"Um I wanted to ask you something." He smiled devioulously. Uh oh.
He grabbed the punch bowl. He dumped all the punch on me. Ew. Oh God. Here come the water works. I saw everyone laugh at me. Even Kin and Kon. And even Larry wasn't laughing. He looked guilty. I ran out of the party. I ran to my house. I ran inside. I saw Zayn seating on the couch. He said something. I didn't pay attention. I just ran up stairs. I pulled my clothes off. I put on my basketball shorts on and Grojband shirt. I started to cry in my pillow. I heard a knock on the door. I didn't want to talk to anyone. "Its just me." It was Zayn. My older brother
"What?!" I hissed at him
"Are you okay?" He asked
"Not really. I got hurt." I said for a matter of fact
"By who Corey?" He said in concern
"No a guy poured pun-" I got inturrpted by the door bell
"I'll get it. Just put your hair up or something." Zayn said. He tried helping me but he failed.
I just went to go take a shower. I finally finished and got out. I dried off and got dressed. I put the same clothes back on. I put my hair in towel. I walked in my room and saw Core. I kinda blushed but shook it off. He smiled at me. Which made me cry. "Come here." I walked over to his arms.
I felt liked I cried for hours. I finally let go. My towel drying my hair fell off. "Sorry he did that to you. I should have looked af-" I stopped him by kissing his lips.
I smiled at him. "Its not your fault. It was Larry's." I stated
"I know but I feel bad." He said
"Well what do you wanna do to make it up?" I asked
"Do your hair." He smiled
"Okay." I smiled
He braided my hair in a side braid. It took him a little bit but he finally got it. I smiled at him. "You look cute." He said
"Thanks." I smiled
"Wanna come to my house tonight?" He asked
"Sure lets go." I said
We went down stairs. I saw my brother glued to his phone. Like always. Might as well say bye. "Bye." I said
"Use protection." He said. Oh my gosh did he just say that.
"Really bro." I said
"Well I was yo-" I started to stop him
"That's nice bye." I waved and grabbed Core's hand and we left.
