a few years down the road,
how fast time flew by like bird's wings from the east to the west.
i no longer lived in that shabby old house with that stupid fence.
thank the heavens my maternal grandparents took me in
lovingly, welcoming and heartily
despite all the pain, sufferance and hardships gone through
without my presence by their side.
apparently i brought them a lot of joy before hell happened haha
i lived my life as a normal kid
i was 19, the same age as my twin sister, dongsook
and two years older than minhyun and jihoon.
minhyun was an adopted child, but it always felt like he was one of the lee's you could find in our family.
the four of us attended classes at SOPA, with me majoring in dance
while the other three music.
no one disturbed us,
my father and that stinker didn't come back
it was just us, the lee's
as we lived our lives.
but one thing will always be for sure -
stepping out of that house, smelling, hearing, seeing mother nature
being taken care of and treated so son-ly
given everything of that a lovely average home
was worth the pain, blood, cuts, bruises and whacks suffered
from living
in a cage.
