❝ Aww, crap. That wound is deeper than what you think, [ name ]. ❞
❝ It's fine, Chief Swan. I can take care of myself, I'm one of the nurse. ❞
He glanced at you, looking at the wound you have while you pressed more pressure on your arm. You hated robberies, and you thought none of them exist here in Forks. But clear enough they still do.
Cheif Swan parked the car in front of the hospital, helping you stand up as he went to the emergency room.
❝ I'll take it from here, officer. I'm good ❞ You said,
❝ But—❞
❝ Just please find the thief, the shards of glass he threw at me really hurt and I'm gonna throw the very same specs on his face when I see him. ❞ you growled as he gulped and nodded,
❝ Just ask for assistance, [ name ]. ❞
❝ Yes officer, thank you. ❞ He nodded as you went in, secretly going at the very last cabin of the emergency room considering no one was insight.
You picked up the emergency kit as you slowly took the medical tools you needed. You started off by picking up all the shards of glass that's stuck in your arm, secondly washing the blood off as you applied medical products and started stitching yourself.
You know you could handle it, since your little brother was the one who makes death join him through any circumstances. Plus because of his much bigger wounds, you're good with your own problem.
You slowly stitched yourself, biting your lip to refrain any noise that might worry the others. You don't want to really get any attention from your friends, they have patients to check who happened to be admitted. And adding your little wound into their work is just not fine.
You thought everything was going great until you accidentally added a little much pressure with the needle, making you slightly shriek and cover your mouth the second it left your mouth. ❛ ughh, now I'm screwed. ❜
And suddenly, the curtain that's refraining from anyone to see you widened as Dr. Cullen came in. Looking at your state, he grimaced.
You actually liked the doctor, your interests grew to his very mysterious life. You barely knew him but damn are you in to know more about him.
❝ You're wounded. ❞
❝ Oh no, this is just fake blood. ❞ wow, what a great excuse!
He smirked ❝ Being sarcastic in this moment? ❞, he slowly walked over—

He breathed out, ❝ Other people might have buy it, well that would be 1.5% people living in this world maybe. But the others along with myself? I can say that no one would be tricked with your so called ' lie '. ❞
Facepalming mentally, you could only look away when he came nearer and sat right beside you. Gently grabbing the needle from your hand as he started to work though much better than you could if you were to confess. ❝ What are you doing here anyways? You just don't go around the emergency room looking for someone like that. ❞
He smiled and looked at you, ❝ Charlie told me to take care of you. ❞
You groaned as you shook your head ❝ He wouldn't drop it, would he? ❞
❝ Nope ❞ he chuckled.
He finished the stitch as he carefully placed a gauze over it, slowly placing your arm down as he sat upright and you did so too.
❝ Thank you, Dr. Cullen ❞
❝ Your welcome, and please — call me Carlisle. ❞
❝ of course, Dr.— I mean Carlisle ❞ You both chuckled,
He stood from the bed as he placed the things back, cleaned and organized. ❝ You'll get used to it. ❞
❝ Well hopefully. I've grown with formalities. ❞ You shrugged, helping him
❝ Try to make something new. ❞ He smiled as you nodded yet again, remembering you still have a job.
❝ Oh uhm, sorry Dr.— er uhm. Carlisle, I'll be going I have to help the others. Thank you again. ❞ You said as he nodded,
You were about to get out from the ward but he stopped you,
❝ Uhm, can you do me a favor. [ name ]? ❞
You looked back at him as you nodded,
❝ Please be careful, I know you're clumsy at times. I've been watching you since then. Dropping a surgical scissors to a patient's intestines while passing it over to the other nurse is just no good. ❞
You gasped as you face palmed mentally ❝ T–That was an accident! ❞
❝ I've seen a lot from your clumsiness. It's fine, just don't get killed one day because you slip from trying to walk. ❞ He chuckled,
You glared at him as you walked away, though sparing a line that brought a grin to his face, ❝ Look for yourself! ❞
