Next day.
Randhir booked an appointment with doctor.
He was taking Sanyukta for check up.
"Bahu...ek min zara ruko" Dadi said
"Ji Dadi..." Sanyukta replied
"Zara yaha baitho..." Dadi said Sanyukta followed her words and sat on chair.
"Muje tumhari nazaar utarani hai..." Dadi said
Dadi took whole five minutes to complete the task.
"Randhir...bahu ko sambhal ke le jao" Dadi said
"Ji Dadi..." Randhir replied
Sanyukta bow down to touch Dadi's feet.
"Nahi Bahu...jhuko mat" "Mera ashirwaad tumhare aur tumhare aanewale baache ke saath humesha hai" Dadi said.
Sanyukta smiled brightly.
Randhir held her shoulders while she walked till the lift.
"Hum thik hai Randhir" She smiled at him.
"Suna nahi Dadi ne kya kaha...Bahu ka khayal rakho" Randhir chuckled
"Aap humesha humara khayal rakhte ho..." She said
"Aab toh aur bhi khayal rakhna padega" He said
They reached on ground floor where a cab was already waiting for them.
Randhir helped Sanyukta to sit inside the cab.
He sat next to her.
They were on their way to hospital.
A car was in speed and jumped a big speed breaker.
"Please aap thoda dhere chalayenge" Randhir told driver.
"Ji Sir.." driver said
"You fine?" He asked Sanyukta.
"Yes I am fine..." Sanyukta said
"Please thoda AC adjust kariye...peeche garmi lag rahi hai" Randhir said
"Aare Randhir it's fine" "Hume garmi nahi lag rahi..." Sanyukta said.
Randhir wiped the a single sweat drop from corner of her forehead.
Soon they reached hospital.
"I have booked an appointment with Dr. Sushila for my wife's check up" Randhir inquired with the lady at reception.
"Name...?" The lady asked
"Sanyukta Shekhawat" Randhir said
"Yes, please have a seat" "I'll send you in in sometime" The lady said
Sanyukta was siting on bench looking at the cute picture of babies.
Randhir came and sat next to her.
"This babies are so cute..." She said looking at the pictures.
"Don't worry....our baby will be more cute..." Randhir said
She looked at him.
"Kya...?" "Maine kaha humara baby inse zyada cute hoga" He said
"Muje humara baby aap jaisa chaiye" She said
"Matlab..." He said
"Aap jaisa matlab...our baby should inherit your qualities and should resemble you" She said
"Why so?" He asked her
"Its my wish..." She said
"Mrs Sanyukta...come inside" nurse came to call her.
SanDhir went inside.
Doctor examined Sanyukta and confirmed the news of her pregnancy.
"Sanyukta have more fruits and juices"
"Have proper food"
"Have a glass of milk along with this tablets of vitamin everyday I am prescribing you"
"Rest everything is fine" Doctor said
"Thank you so much doctor" Randhir said
"You welcome and soon to be mommy...take care" doctor said
"Are you happy Randhir?" Sanyukta asked Randhir
"I am very happy Sanyukta" "I just can't describe" Randhir said
He made her rest head on his shoulder while they were in cab going back home.
They reached home.
Their family was waiting for them.
"Kya kaha doctor ne?" "Everything is fine" Renuka asked as soon as they reach home.
"Everything is fine Maa..." "We just have to take care of Sanyukta" Randhir said
"Sab thik hai na Randhir" came Dadi there
"Haan sab thik hai..." Randhir assured her.
"Randhir aab tumhe aur bhi zyada dhyaan rakhna hai bahu ka" Dadi said
"Haan Dadi...main rakhunga Sanyukta ka khayal" Randhir said
"Sanyukta...zara mere saath aao" Dadi said
"Ji Dadi..." She said and followed Dadi to the room.
Dadi tied a red dhaga(thread) around her wrist.
"Yeh raksha dhaga hai..." "Tumhara aur baache ki suraksha ke liye" Dadi said Sanyukta took blessings from Dadi.
"Dhyaan rakhna aapna bahu" "Wakt pe khana, thik se sona...bas aaram karna" Dadi said
"Ji Dadi..." Sanyukta said
"Humara pota tandurast hona chaiye" Dadi said.
Sanyukta looked at Dadi.
"Shekhawat khandan ka varis hai" "Humara bhavishya hai" "Hum humare pote ko swasth aur tandurast dekhna chahte hai isliye Maa ko iska khaas khayal rakhna hota hai inn 9 mahino main" Dadi said.
Sanyukta nodded in half agreement. Renuka took over the kitchen work and Sanyukta was just allowed to take rest.
Everyone was pampering her with love and affection.
She was loving all the love been showered on her.
Renuka and Dadi prepared dry fruit ladoos for Sanyukta.
Sanyukta walked into kitchen.
"Maa, Dadi..." Sanyukta went to them.
"Aare tum kyu uthkar aayi yaha Sanyukta" Renuka said
"Maa hum kabse room main hai" "Hume bore horaha tha isliye hum yaha aaye" Sanyukta said
"Yeh lo Sanyukta...yeh ladoo khao" "Din main ek baar yeh ladoo khana yaad se" Dadi said
"Ji Dadi..." Sanyukta said

At night.
"Kya soch rahi ho" Randhir said turning to her side.
"Ummm Hmm..." "Kuch nahi..." She replied.
Randhir cupped her cheek and she looked at him.
"You know...you are glowing" He said
"Hmmm..." She blushed
"Maa aur Dadi bhi yahi keh rahe the" Sanyukta said
"Tum kuch soch rahi ho?" He asked her again
"Kuch khaas nahi...bas yeh soch rahe the ki sab kaise hoga" "Ghar,college...sab kaise handle karenge" She said
"Kar lenge hum Sanyukta..." Randhir said
"We are together into this" He added
"Ek baat puche aapse..?" She said
"Pucho..." He said
"Aapko lagta hai hume job chod deni chaiye" She said
"Kisne kaha tumse" "Bilkul nahi...tum job nahi chodogi Sanyukta" Randhir said
"Par...Dadi..." She fumbled
"She started again...ohh god" "No Sanyukta you will not leave job" "Kitni sari pregnant ladies job karti hai"
"This pregnancy is not an obstacle Sanyukta...its a blessing and for this you don't need to leave job" "And once you complete 6 months...you can take maternity leave"
"Phir aage ka dekhenge baad main" Randhir said.
Sanyukta agreed with him.
"Ek kaam karenge...subah toh I drop you at college" "While coming back hum tumhare liye permanent cab lagava denge" "You don't need to travel in bus...you will have comfortable journey" Randhir said
"Hmmm..." She smiled at his care for her.
"Chalo sleep now...don't take think much and stress yourself" He kissed her forehead.
Randhir moved a bit and placed a kiss on her belly.
Sanyukta felt the love and care he has for their baby.
Her eyes welled up.
She wiped off the tears before he could see them in her eyes.
"You know Sanyu...I am jealous of you"
"At least you can feel the baby inside you"
"Think about me...I have to wait for 9 months to feel it" He complain like a child.
"Who said you cannot feel the baby?" "Of course you can..." She made him place his hand on her belly.
"I am so happy Sanyukta" Randhir spoke
"And I am happy because you are happy" She said
