Chapter 4: The Battle Begins

Just before sunrise the Valkorian Army began to grab as many people as possible. When they saw Tim they thought it would be a great coup to grab the second in command of the humans. Tim had been out walking Lightning waiting for him to do his business and wishing for his bed, when Lightning started to growl and snarl. Suddenly they were surrounded by Valkorian military officers holding laser-blasters at him. Lightning jumped and knocked two Valkorians down allowing Tim to escape and then followed him all the way back to the barracks. Tim was angry because Lightning had had to save him from being grabbed. When Adam heard this he ordered all adult humans to travel in groups of four or more and to be fully armed at all times. He also ordered everyone to re-board the ships and prepare for a possible battle. It only took two hours to get the rest of the civilians on board and after a patrol to search for those missing was attacked openly, the battle began.
