"im gonna be late!!" i said as i ran on the side of the street. "First day of school and im already late!" I said,Oh i forgot to introduce myself, my name is Akuda Kobayashi, im years old and im a student at Maboroshi High School. Currently im in the 2nd grade of high school and this is my first day of school after a long school break
while i was running, i didnt pay attention on whats below me and i tripped on a street bumper and fell "ack!" i said felling over
"ow...." i sad rubbing my head, i brush off the dust from my uniform and i stood up when i notice something under the bush near me, i go up to it to see what it was, it was black box, i pick it up and open it to see a box full of cards
"cards? Whats is a box full of cards doing on the side of the road?" I pick up one of the cards and looked at it, on the front of the card was a man with pink armor, spiky pink hair, a life guage, and in the title that says "Kamen Rider Ex-aid Lvl 2", the back of the card was black and had white boarders, in the center was a blue circle (i cant describe the circle in the middle okay XD) and in the center of it was a logo
"Cardfight....Vanguard?" i said as i read the logo "you mean that famous card game that everyones playing? Whats it doing here?" I looked through them seeing the different cards "wait!" I said as i realized something "i need to get to school!" I looked at my watch and it was 6:20, i put the cards in my bag and ran to school
~time skip~
The bell rang signaling that school was over, i sighed as i walk out of school tired, i grab the box full of cards and open it, i was shuffling throught the cards when i notice a small folded note in between the cards, i decided open it and it reads Card Capital 2 "Card Capital 2? Whats that?" I said confused, i looked around and saw a sign that reads Card Capital 2 pointing in a direction, i decide to follow it
After 30 minutes of walking, i stumbled across a building with the words Card Capital 2 on its window "i guess this must be the place...." I walk into the building and opened the door to the shop, in it were glass paintings and in them were different cards, hundreds of them, in the middle of the room were 2 pink sofas and infront of them was a monitor with the cardfight vanguard logo, on the right was the counter, it had a lot of packs and decks hanging on the wall for players to choose from.
"wow...." I was amazed by how many cards were in the room, how decked out this place was, how clean it was, it was pretty impresive
"Attack!" A sound was heard from afar, i looked over to see two people fighting, i looked over to the first guy, he had blue hair (no its not Aichi) and was wearing the same uniform as me
i thinked for a second "is that guy....from my school?" i said to myself, i glance over to the other guy on the other side of the table, he had had red hair and a swirly motif on the front, he was wearing what looked like an undercoat of a suit and a red tie
"Perfect Guard!" said the guy with blue hair putting a card in the center of the field and putting a card from his hand to a pile on the side
"Drive trigger check! first check, Critical Trigger! all effects goes to Chronobeat" said the red haired guy pulling a card from the top of his deck and revealing it "second check (nothing) third check....heal trigger, power to Chronobeat and i heal one damage "he said putting a card from the five cards on his side and putting it on the pile on the left side
"Nextage skill! counter blast and discard three, i put Nextage back into my G-Zone and now my Chronojet stands, now i attack with Chronobeat!" he said turning his card sideways
"Generation Guard!" he puts a card in the center again, this time it was green. i opened my box of cards trying to find a card similar to that, i found 2 copies of it and it was called a "G-Guardian". i looked back at the two still going at it.
"i attack with Chronojet Dragon" said the guy with red hair "chi! No Guard" said the blue haired guy "Twin Drive! First Check, Critical Trigger! all effects to Chronojet, second check.....Critical trigger! all effects goes to Chronojet!" said the guy with red hair revealing 2 cards with the same picture from the top of his deck "what?! a double critical?!" the blue haired guy said surprised "yup! now Chronojet,...attack his vanguard!" the red haired guy said "d-damage trigger check" he pick up the card from the top of his pile "...nothing" he said losing the fight
"good game Chrono" the blue haired guy said referring to the red haired guy Chrono, "good game to you too Kuma" Chrono said referring to the blue haired guy Kuma. "i have to go, i have stuff to do" Kuma said picking up his bags "ill be back tommorow" Kuma said to Chrono "okay, ill be waiting to kick your ass again" Chrono said "haha, we'll see about that" Kuma said, he picks up his cards and runs off
Chrono picks up his cards before noticing me standing near the counter, he goes up to me "hey, you new here? 'ive never seen you before?" he said
"yeah" i said "my name is Akuda Kobayashi"
"Shindou, Shindou Chrono" Chrono said introducing himself "so why are you here?"
"oh, i'm here because i found these cards on the side of the street" i said handing him the box i found.
Chrono opens it and looked through the cards "ive never seen these cards before...." he then looked at the bottom of the card "Gamer Ride Clan? ive never even heard of this clan!" he said "maybe Shin knows about these, hey Shin-san!" he said calling someone by the name Shin.
then a man with green hair and glasses followed by two cats appeared from the door behind the counter, he was carrying boxes from the back of the shop "what is it Chrono?' he said, he then looks over to me "oh a new customer?" Shin said as he puts the boxes on the table
"yeah, and he has a strange deck with him" Chrono said as he handed Shin the deck, Shin looked through the cards to see unfamiliar cards, hes never even seen them in my life "i've never seen these cards before, i've never even heard of the clan called "Gamer Rider"" Shin gives the deck back to me "i'm sorry but i cant help you" he said
"its okay" i sighed "man what am i gonna do with these cards? i dont even know how to play the game" i said
"well Chrono would gladly teach" Shin said
"What?" Chrono said
"well you are the only cardfighter here" Shin said
" i guess you're right....aaaaahhhhh fine!" Chrono picks up his deck and puts it on the table, he sighs
"get your deck ready, im gonna teach you how to cardfight"
I nod and pick up my deck and put it ontop of the table
"First you need to know parts of a card" he said as he picks up a card and shows it to me "the top left corner is the grade of a card, cards have 5 grades from grade 0 to grade 4, on the bottom is the name of the card, power and critical, ill get to the power and critical aspect once we get to the battle phase, on the bottom is the clan and race, on the left side of the card is the shield but ill get to that and on the top right corner on some cards are triggers, but ill get to those once we get there" he said "now lets get right into the cardfight, first choose a grade 0 and set it face-down on the vanguard circle, this will be our starting vanguard" he said as he placed a card face-down in the top center
i nod and pick a grade 0 and place it on the field
"next we shuffle our decks and draw five cards, this will be our starting hand, but you can redraw them at this point, the key is to get all grade 1 to 3" he said as he pick two cards from his hand, reshuffles it into his deck and draws the same amount
i looked at my hand to see 2 grade 0's, 2 grade 1's, and 1 grade 3. i shuffled back my 2 grade 0 and 1 grade 1 and redrew the same amount, this time i had a 1 grade 0, 2 grade 1's, a grade 2 and a grade 3
"usually we do rock paper scissors first but since you're a beginner ill go first so i can explain the rules easier"
i nod "i'm fine with that"
"okay, now picture it, our spirits have been transported to planet similar to this planet called Cray, imagine it....the world which we'll battle" he said as he closest his eye's
i close my eye's imagining the place, it was green rocky mountains with a blue sky above me, my body was glossy white and my body felt light like a feather (pretty much the place where every sentai movie fight scene takes place)
"hm? i've never been to this area before, is this new?" Chrono said as he looked around the area "but anyway we are here in Cray as astral bodies, in this form our spirits takes form of our vanguards"
"so the cards we placed on the field...."
"yup, thats us" Chrono said (sry Fox, had to some words out of your book XD)
"first, call the unit that will empower us" he said placing his hand on top of his card "that's the Vanguard, it means "the one who leads""
"the one....who leads..."
"yup, we ride our Vanguards in order to posses the body to fight on Cray" he said "now imagine it....the moment the card becomes yourself"
i nod and place my hand on top of my vanguard
"now say it with me" he said
"O-okay..."
"Stand Up, Vanguard!"
"Stand Up, Vanguard!"

(So...how was the first chapter? Was it good? Leave a comment, i would love to see the flaws of this first chapter, keep in mind this is the first chapter after a long time since my Kamen Rider X Danganronpa Fanfic and that still has like 1 more chapter, and why i ended it off on a cliffhangar? Well the reason is that it was too long, it was like 3k words (even tho i usually read like 5k to 10k fanfics) so yeah hope you guys enjoyed it and ill see you in the next chapter, janne!)
