Hey guys this is my very first diy book so I'm really hoping you guys support me with it that'll really mean a lot to me. And for all of you that support me you will not regret it.

So today I have a diy homemade mitten which is a very easy diy to do and can be given as gifts. All it needs are some few items you can find in your home.

This diy literally cost nothing and its a great way of recycling old sweaters if your like me who doesn't like to give already worn out clothes or things out.

So the way you cut the shape of the mittens depend on the size and shape of your palm. Mine is quite small.

So I recommend tracing around your palm on a paper to make a kind of template for the mittens and shape it so it has only two parts. One for the thumb and the other for the rest.

When your cutting out the shape make sure to cut it a little bit wider than the template because Dont forget we are going to sew or glue the edges together.

*An old cotton or thick sweater sleeve
*needle and thread or a hot glue gun
*scissors
*a template or you can just eyeball it
*buttons,decorative patches and more

First of all trim the edge of the sleeves if you need it short because leaving the sleeves gives you a more longer mitten which is also cute and maybe even cuter.

So after making the template and shaping it all you have to do is pin it to the fabric and cut it out with scissors or a craft knife.

Note: if the fabric is fraying and little fur balls are appearing get a shaving stick and get rid of them by running the stick gently over the fabric.

After cutting it out turns it to the side you want to to be inside and use hot glue or needle to sew the edges neatly.

If this is a gift for someone I prefer using hot glue because its stronger but try not to add to much glue. We Dont want the recipient feeling clumps of glue.

After gluing or sewing flip it over and decorate how ever you want. You can give it some decorative embroidery stitching or place buttons and patches.

You can also either roll up the sleeves and glue it down or add a different color of the material or any other material and glue it down to give it more of a fancy look.

Dont forget to comment, follow and give ideas. And these ideas and pictures are not all mine but some are and I'll let you know when they are. But the instructions are all me. Bye *3*
