We landed in an alley in the city. There were silver dumpsters everywhere. I focused my magic into my feet and ran up the wall. I was on the roof in no time and saw the whole city. It was a very beautiful sight. It was breathtaking and stunning. I looked over the city with awe. Jessica followed me and with that Kiyara, Ashley, Donny, and the two other agents.
" I'll use my advanced sensory to target the fifth of the prophecy." He put his hands together as if he were praying. " Ultra Sight of Vision!"
His eyes were now black with white pupils. " I can see several monsters jumping from building to building. They are most likely hunting our target. But even if their not it's our job."
He jumped from building to building over the streets in a zigzag formation with us in tow. Suddenly, the five monsters stopped and turned to us. The monsters didn't look really different from other humans. They had blue, pale skin black eyes with white pupils that were larger than normal. They were pretty tall and had a unique sword on their backs. They had hair that ranged from black to a light blue. The man we followed landed on a cable wire that crossed to another pole. The tall monster that was about eight foot five spoke.
" Hmmm... What do we have here. If it isn't Kairo or should I call you by your given name. Connor Marson." Kairo looked at him grudgingly.
" Kaine!," he shouted. I wondered how Kairo could have been connected to that monster. Kairo put his fists together and erupted in electricity. He disappeared in a thunder bolt and appeared behind the monster he called Kaine. " You'll pay for what you did to our family. The members of our family's magical branch. Why!? You son of a b-" He didn't have time to curse because Kaine had hit him in the chest with fire bursting on his arm. He disappeared in a bolt of lightning after putting his fists together and appeared where he was originally.
" Tsk, tsk. What a disappointment. You're using our branch's ability poorly brother."
" Brother!?," I spatted out. Jessica glared at me and began to reason with Kairo.
" C'mon Kairo. This isn't our objective. Please, let's go. It began to rain and Kairo's black hair that hung to his cheeks glistened in the rain. His hair had a soft flow to it and he had dark hair. Kaine was similar but with a spiky flow and darker hair.
" How is that Kairo's brother. He's a monster," Ashley noted.
Kairo answered himself. " He- he began using some forbidden magic. His heart began to become darker and darker. He used our branch of the W society's ability, Tenshi's Sight to use the darkness of his heart to his advantage. You see, our branch was founded by a man named Kami which is the Japanese word for deity or god if you will. Kami had the ability to sense attacks before they came and see meters away. Later, he gave a slice of his power to the other eleven members of his branch at the time but he still had a more powerful version of the ability. He and one of the members married, making their kids' ability even stronger. Anyway, he later turned evil and due to his strongest ability among everyone else, he transformed into a monster. The monster was later known as Dervanclaw. Well since his descendants were even more powerful than him, they were capable of a stronger Dervanclaw. And me and Kaine come from his bloodline. We now call the ability Tenshi's Sight because Tenshi means Angel in Japanese. My brother developed the Shi no Tenshi Sight which means Angel of Death Sight."
Kaine burned up and appeared on the wire next to Kairo. " Well summarized brother. Kaine punched Kairo to the ground. Kairo fell in a puddle. The blow was powerful and the once clear puddle turned rose red. The other agent in the trio jumped in the air and kicked Kaine in the face. When the kick contacted with his face, the air around his foot was a bowl like wind contained by the agent. The agent's image disperse as he landed where he was next to Jessica. Kaine looked like nothing happened.
" Felix, that was risky. Don't do that when the odds are against you. His guard will be up next time."
" Sorry, Jess." He smiled and rubbed the back of his head. Felix had curly hair. He was white and was probably nineteen.
I had enough of just sitting around. I concentrated my magic and placed my hand down on the roof. From my hand, a rope of shadow formed and stretched to Kaine. It caught Kaine in his movement to jump down to Kairo but he resumed as I mentally locked it in my head for later use. Kaine smashed into Kairo's stomach and Jessica went into battle with Felix, noticing what I did to Kaine. Then, Kaine's lackeys came in and us four intervened. I watched as Kaine took Jessica's head and Felix's head and I froze him right there. He was in my possession ans he was my puppet.
" Hey Kaine, time to play."
I made him take on his own men. He jabbed one multiple times and as the finale, slashed him in the face. Kaine attempted to break free but I tightened my grasp and as to assure that I had total control strings of shadows stuck him and held him down. Kaine began to bleed in the holes I stuck him in. I took out the strings and he began to massacre his men. After two more were down, he stopped and I noticed my control slipping away and the shadow that connected him to me was no more.
" Hey guys, get ready to rumble!," I told them. Jessica flipped in front of me.
" Already on it," she said.
Kaine ran at me and took out his sword. The sword had the design of a silver demon upside down near the handle. It had markings on them that I couldn't understand. He smiled an evil smile and I saw the monster in him. His sharp teeth glistened and I grimaced. He prepared to hit me and slashed Jessica out of the way with monstrous ease. And he slashed.
Kairo blocked Kaine with his own personal sword. " He is the one of prophecy, Kaine. You couldn't kill him even if I hadn't been here. You can't change the future. With this eye I've seen your death that I dream of every night."
Kaine pulled back his sword and again, tried to hit Kairo with his sword only for it to have been deflected. Kairo's sword gleamed and was obviously very powerful. The sound of the two swords clashing made a clanging sound. Kaine then made his sword burst into flames. After that, Kairo's erupted in lightning. They clashed and Kairo was a formidable opponent for Kaine. They were an even match and everyone could see that.
" They're an even match because of Tenshi's Sight," Felix explained. " Without Tenshi's Sight, Kairo would've fallen a long time ago. They can see each others attack right before it happens. Their branch had stamina and speed which is why the reaction time is so fast. And the fact that you can see them means that your skills have improved from the untrained ninja I once watched in the jungle."
I grinned grimly. The outcome of this fight was almost impossible to tell. Just then Kaine stopped and flew back. He signaled for the two surviving Dervanclaw to attack. I watched Kaine very carefully and he had his fingers cuffed in between his other fingers. An aura evolved around his hands and he place them on two of his fallen comrades. I had no idea what he was doing but I saw that slowly but surely he was reviving them.
" Jessica!," Kiyara cried. So someone else saw it.
" Yes I see. He's bringing the Dervanclaw back from the dead. By forbidden magic, I now know what Kairo meant. Okay, Felix. You fight the one on the right. Zach, fight off the middle one and Ashley can fight off the one on the left."
" What about us? I want some action too."
" No worries. If I know the technique that he wants to do then there will be plenty for all of us. But for now, you two can help me help out Kairo so that Kairo can stop Kaine. Agreed?" We nodded and ran for our targets. He had completed reviving his comrades and had backed up some more. I created a shadow dagger and sliced the Dervanclaw in the chest leaving a diagonal mark. The Dervanclaw seemed limp and I kicked it in the chest and It flew into a building. The lackey was caught in the debris. The monster brushed past me and slammed me in the back. I was paralyzed. He was extremely fast. Faster than my trained eye could see anyway. I coughed and luckily, I didn't coughed up blood. As I was about to stand, the Dervanclaw choked me and slammed me against the wall. He threw me at a wall, and I sunk in the ocean of debris. I couldn't think straight and my mind was clouded.
' Have to... defeat... the... the.... Dervanclaw!'
The Dervanclaw was also fast. But I could be faster. I climbed out of the pile and stood on it, staggering a bit. I focused my magic into my feet. I ran at him in a split second. When there, I created a sphere of shadows, constantly revolving around and smashed it into his back. The Dervanclaw spun into the air. I formed a shadow pole and stuck it into his back. I attached it into the ground and stuck a thumbs up.
" Beat that you crappy Dervanclaw!," I grinned. I saw Ashley beating the crap out of a Dervanclaw, smashing air into him many times. With her power of controlling the air, she was incredibly resourceful. " Nice job Ashley!," I called out. She only nodded as she concentrated on the Dervanclaw's movement. Ashley created a twister out of her hand and it spun the Dervanclaw into a building. He was down for the count and so was Felix's Dervanclaw.
Kaine walked up." Well it seems I'll have to get rid of you three myself!," he snapped.
" No you won't!," Kairo countered.
Kaine smirked. " You can not handle me on your own. And for my final trick." His fingertips pressed together and a magical aura seeped out from in between them. Kaine's smile was now wide. " Devicetacion!"
Everything blew up.
