Hey guys this is my first fan fiction that i'm taking seriously any advice would be amazing thank you for reading if you do, WHICH I HOPE!
"It looks like Gengar has this battle in the bag; oh wait the opponent's Vaporeon just washed away his last chance for a win with the mighty Hydro Pump! The crowd is going wild from this kind of upset!" roared the TV announcer.
"Phillip! Turn that shit down, this instant!" my mum yelled up to me.
"Well, I wouldn't watch the league battles if you let me get my own Pokémon mum!!" I snap back at her.
"Not this argument again! I've told you a million times before YOU ARE TOO YOUNG!!!"
"MOM I AM FIFTEEN YEARS OLD! FIVE YEARS OLDER THAN THE LEGAL AGE WE CAN GET OUR STARTING POKEMON, HOW DOES THAT MAKE ME TOO YOUNG!"
"PHILLIP GO TO BED RIGHT NOW, I CAN'T DEAL WITH YOUR BULLSHIT RIGHT NOW!"
"MOM, WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO TO HELL RIGHT NOW!!?” I yell right before I slam my door.
I slowly walk over to my closet so I can look in the mirror. I hated what I saw. A gangly five foot ten guy with long black hair, which is always in my face, my mom and I hated how much I looked like my father. The bastard left when he found out mom was pregnant with me.
"FUCK YOU DAD!" I scream at the mirror right before I punch it harder than a Primeape could. I smirk devilishly as the blood trickles down my knuckles. I decided that I should at least say something to my mother before I go to sleep.
"Goodnight, Mother!"
"Phillip, sweetie I'm sorry for yelling at you. It's just that you know how I feel about being left alone."
"You wouldn't be alone! You have Shine's mom and dad across the street for company." I slam and lock my door all in one fluid motion. I scan around my room for a little bit until I find my Poke Gear. I snatch it up and call up Shine. When she answers I see the friendliest of faces. Her full name is Sunshine I really don't know why they named her that though, she's like the opposite at times.
"Hey Phil, what's up?"
"Shine don't call me Phil, okay?"
She smiles slightly. "Okay Phillip. What's wrong?"
"It's my mom again, Shine she's being an uber bitch."
"Well at least your mom likes you." She snaps at me with disdain in her voice. Shine's mother hasn't been the nicest of people towards her, and by that I mean she's abusive. Sometimes I get so angry I feel like I could just Double Slap her mom.
"Shine, look at me." She looks at me "Your mom is an insensitive old hag who needs to remove the stick from her ass!"
She giggles. God, I love it when she giggles
"Phillip?" she asks cautiously.
"Yeah, Shine?"
"If you could would you still want to leave Paradise Town with me and adventure?"
"Yes!" I answer in a heartbeat.
She smiles and holds up two bags and four ultra-balls. "Well look at these, I snagged them from my parents' room while I was cleaning it."
I stare into nothingness just daydreaming how much fun it'd all be.
"Helloooo, Earth to Phillip!"
"Oh, uhh sorry about that Shine. What were you saying?"
"Well I was asking you if you'd like to run away this weekend."
I yawn and nod my head quickly.
"I gotta go Phil, mum's coming up. G'night."
The screen on my Poke Gear goes black. I look at my clock and realize what time it is and fall asleep with the adventures her and I will have running through my head.
*SILAX FOREST/POKE LAB*
"STOP RIGHT THERE! DROP THAT POKEMON YOU THIEF!" yelled a guard at a young boy.
"Ha, you'll have to catch me first Piggy McPigface!"
How could someone so short run so fast, thought the guard. The boy quickly turns right and dives behind some bushes.
"That fatass will never find me here." whispered the mysterious boy.
"Come out boy!!" He could hear the guard take long deep breaths, he knew he won and was safe from any trouble. "Well it doesn't even fucking matter you stole a Pokémon that only knows how to splash." he jests as he slowly walks away.
"Damn! That means I stole a Magikarp! How could I have been so careless?" He whispered to himself. "But what if fatass over there is just saying that to get me to throw the ball and see what's inside to tell him where I’m hiding."
"Fuck, the lil bastard got away!" exclaimed the guard as he ran back to the Lab.
"Whoo, thank Arceus he wasn't very intelligent. Now it's time to see if he was telling the truth about my new Pokemon." He threw the ball and suddenly felt his heart sank when he saw the signature orange colored fish and heard "Karp, Karp!"
"Damn it he was right! Oh, well it could be worse it could've been Jigglypuff" he jests playfully.
He feels his Poke Gear vibrating so he looks at it and notices an unfamiliar number. "Hmm, who could this be?"
"Hello?"
"Is this Sebastien!?" the person asked hurriedly
"Umm, yeah but who is this?"
"No time for stupid questions boy! Do you have a Magikarp?"
"Yes... how'd you know that?" Sebastien suddenly became really worried, who was this stranger who knew so much about him.
"Good, Never I repeat NEVER get rid of him! He'll save your life when the time comes!"
"Who the fuck are... *CLICK PokeGear turns off* Damn it I thought I charged this stupid thing!" He slowly walks over to the nearby stream and looks down at his reflection. He saw what he always did, a short orphan boy with long silver hair, whose parents died long ago in a fire caused by an Arcanine's Fire Blast. Except this time when he looked down he saw something else, he saw a thief.
"Magikarp, return."
A red beam of energy shot out and hit Magikarp and shot him into the ball.
"I guess I should set up camp for the night." Sebastien puts up a tent and gets some firewood and slowly falls to sleep.
*Paradise Town, Shine's Room*
“… G’night!” she says as she bids farewell to Phillip. Shine’s mother then storms in recklessly.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing with my bag you stupid bitch!?” she roars right before she strikes Shine ferociously.
“Marilyn?! What the fuck do you think you’re doing?!” yelled her father.
Thank Arceus; my savior/father is here, Shine thought. The happiness was short lived when her mother whipped around and snapped back with “I’m punishing her for stealing our bags and our last Ultra-balls.” She points to the heap on the floor.
Shine look at her father quickly and her eyes were begging for him to back her up, which he did. “Marilyn, I gave those to her last night! Now go downstairs I need to talk to her privately.”
“You better give her a good licking or I will.” She comments evilly.
“Shut up, Marilyn!”
She looks in awe at her husband and quickly runs down the stairs. Right when she disappeared, his usual calm demeanor appeared again and he rushed over to Shine.
“Sunshine, darling are you alright?” he said with urgency.
“I am now papa.” Shine says as tears run down her cheeks.
He strokes her long blonde hair as he whispers, “Shine, you need to leave tomorrow. I have to go to Hojik Town up north for a week or so and frankly I’m afraid your mother might end up killing you.” He looks into her Rayquaza green eyes and says, “I love you with all of my heart, and I’ll miss you.”
“But daddy what about you?” she asks as she grabs him for one last hug.
“I’ll be fine I’m a big strong trainer, I mean I used to be a Gym Leader back in Hoenn.” He grins.
“Okay dad, I love you!”
“Here take this Pokémon with you, it’s called Dratini. It’s a rare find around here and I wanna give it to you as a parting gift.”
“Thanks daddy!” she says with a small grin.
“I’ll help you pack everything really quickly, dear.” For the next half hour they didn’t speak a single word to each other just packed all of the essentials needed for a long journey for two. After they finished he kissed her goodnight and left. Shine stood up and stared at her mirror on top of her vanity and smiled, because she remembered what Phillip always told her, “You might be curvier and a little heavier than some girls, but you’re still gorgeous no matter what.”
“Well I guess I should get some rest,” she yawns on the way to her bed. “Love you daddy, I’ll miss you.” She whispers as a tear goes down her cheek.
