Ryu sighed as he looked at the edge of the forest longingly. Oh how he dreamed of going past there and seeing the world for what it really was, but he was told you had to be a stomper in order to do that. "Eh, Ryu you coming?" his best friend Elliot asked in his usual Irish voice.
"Someday Elliot I'm going to travel the world!" Ryu said jumping down from the tree branch he was sitting on. "You got your hopes up a little high there Ryu. There's no way us leaf men can ever travel the world" Elliot said.
"I don't have my hopes high I just need to figure out a way to travel the world at my height" The red head responded "it's kinda weird you know that?" Elliot asked the shook his blond locks and said "come on we'll be late for the blooming ceremony" Ryu sighed and nodded following Elliot to the blooming ceremony.
When they got there the flower was just then blooming and the stream of light headed towards Ryu's direction and stayed right next to him. "Ryu I think it likes ya" Elliot joked. "haha very funny now can it stop liking me?" he asked, but the light just went straight into him changing his clothes to the traditional leaf men soldier clothes, only without the helmet. "uh Ryu don't look now but I think you're the next queen or I should say king" Elliot said and everyone in the place to watch the blooming where utterly speechless and shocked the next queen, I mean king, of the leaf men was a boy for they never had a boy one before. All the less people bowed to Ryu after taking a good look at him and remembering all the good deeds he's done for them before. To say Ryu was shocked was the understatement of the century.
He didn't want to be king he just wanted to see the world. when the ceremony was over, the last queen's right hand man came up to him. "Ryu I hope you take you responsibilities seriously instead of your normal joke around attitude and don't leave the castle!" Tintus, the one I was just telling you about, said to Ryu as he left.
"quick Elliot let's get out of here before anyone notices!" Ryu stated suddenly "there's a wee problem with that Ryu, you the king you can't just go sneaking outta the castle!" Elliot shouted. "well with or without you I'm going" Ryu stated bluntly and started sneaking out and Elliot followed him but not before saying "how I let you talk me into these things?"
Soon enough Ryu was out of the castle on a stolen bird and Elliot was on a different bird.
"Ryu we're going to get into big trouble for this, you being king in all" Elliot said while flying right beside Ryu. "Yeah well I'm not going back I can't take being cooped up in one place like an animal those stompers keep in their house" Ryu said and just as he did a boggal attacked them aiming for Ryu. "Ryu I think they know you the king" Elliot said stating the obvious.
"Nah they're just gunning at us for no reason!" Ryu said sarcasm dripping off his tone.
"Ya don't have to be all sarcastic about it" Elliot said. Another arrow was fired at Ryu and this time it sprung at net when it hit the tree. "Elliot I don't think they're trying to kill me it's more like they're trying to catch me" Ryu stated bluntly.
Elliot nodded in agreement with this just as another net was fired catching both Ryu and Elliot on the trap. "I blame you for this Ryu" Elliot said clearly annoyed.
