i picked up the book and walked over to jack. i held the book behind my back and tapped his shoulder.
"hey finn." he smiled slightly before continuing to look around frantically.
"what are you looking for?"
"oh, you know. nothing important."
i drop the book down next to him. he looks down at it in relief before looking back up at me with panic.
"d-did you read any of that?" i nod hesitantly and i can hear him cursing under his breath.
"h-how m-much did you read?"
"all of it."
he completely starts freaking out and throws the book across the room.
"hey look at the bright side jack. now i know how you feel about me." i turn his face to me and make him look in my eyes.
"that's the whole point though. now you know how i felt the whole time. don't you understand how embarrassing that is?"
i nod smiling before pulling him into a hug.
"i'm sorry jack. i'm sorry for everything i've done. i never ever want to be the reason you cry." i feel him nod against my shoulder before i let go.
"and i would like to make it up to you."
"how?"
"well, that's for me to know and for you to find out."
