Frowning in confusion, I headed towards the door only to be greeted by a middle aged woman with a phone on one of her hand.
"Ms. Riley, Sir Zach wants to talk to you" she said politely while handing me the phone.
"Oh, thank you" I smiled at her and she bowed before leaving.
"Hello?" I pressed the phone in my ear and I hear his breathing hitched.
"Lex..." He sighed.
"Zach, is there something wrong?" I asked.
"No. I'm just checking if you're OK" he said and I hear him shuffling in the other side.
"Well I'm fine" I assured him. Smiling at the fact that he is worried for me.
"I'm sorry I have to leave like that. It's really important and though I don-"
"Zach it's fine. I understand" I assured him.
He groaned and I quite pictured him scratching the back of his head...a habit of his.
"Lemme guess, you're scratching the back of your head right now, are you?" I guessed and I know he froze on the other line. How do I know? It's a mystery in my life.
"How'd you know?" His voice turned from apologetic to amused.
"I could tell" I said and I heard him chuckle in the background.
"Have you eaten?" He asked.
"Nope, but I was going to" I answered while sitting on the bed.
"Hmmm...hope you like the meal later though. Just don't eat that fast like last night, you nearly give me a heart attack" I laughed even though I know it's not a joke.
"Forgive me because it's my favorite. I couldn't help myself" I chuckled and so does he.
"That's good to hear" he said.
"You're spoiling me" I blurt out as he chuckled.
"You deserve to be spoiled" he teased and I rolled my eyes.
"Don't turn me into a spoiled brat, I hate those" I grimaced in disgust. Remember skimpy Stacy being a spoiled brat, making a scene at the school every time she doesn't get what she wants.
"Don't worry, I know you're better than that" I swear I could hear a smile in his voice. Wait...how can I hear a smile when smiles are suppose to be seen, not hear? OK, stop making it a big deal.
"And I am. I'm a big girl" I joked and he chuckled.
"Well, my big girl. I'll talk to you again later because I have a meeting to attend. Do whatever you want while I'm gone but you'll be mine when I come back home" he said seriously and I rolled my eyes with a chuckle.
"Roger that, my male" I joked and I hear him chuckle.
"I love you" was the last thing he said before the line went dead.
He loves me? Zach Harrison freaking loves me? How? Oh my god he loves me!
I don't know for how long I stayed in the same position. Sitting on the bed with the phone still in my hand. My heart is beating so fast in my chest that it vibrates through my whole body. My mind and soul is singing in joy and I felt electricity through my whole body.
Zach Harrison loves me. My male dominant loves me!
Suddenly, my monster of a stomach growled loudly and I groaned. Way to ruin my moment stomach, you're such a life saver.
