the bell rang, signalling the end of class and the start of lunch. happily, makoto approached jam and said, "come on, let's go."
the two headed to fhe rooftop, which was their usual spot to have lunch. as they opened their lunchboxes, snow began cascading down from the blue-grey sky while mother nature decided to be cruel and drop the temperature even more.
jam shivered and tucked her chin deeper into her coat as well as rubbed her hands together. at that moment, she regretted not wearing her winter gloves.
makoto noticed this. he took his jacket off and draped it around her shoulder. her eyes widened and she looked into his eyes.
"you're not cold?" she asked.
he shook his head and responded, "your health is more important. now eat up before lunch is over."
the warmth that he gave her was definitely heartwarming and enough to melt her heart.
