Do you remember the first time we met, Kite? I do. It was that time of year everyone hates. Where your getting ready for Christmas even though it's aways away. And then when Christmas comes your never prepared. But I like the way you think of Christmas, Kite. I like how you think of Christmas as a season without all the presents. Just joy in a bottle every day of the week.
Anyway, I had been at Starbucks getting coffee for my girlfriend of the moment, and you walked in. I was going one way and you were going the other. When I bumped into you. It was a simple accident. Like any other. But do you remeber what you said Kite? You said,
"Oh I'm sorry." You didn't say, I didn't see you there or excuse me. Because maybe you knew somehow I hated it when people said that to me. It made me feel so alone and invisble. But you just said oh I'm sorry. And that was it. No afterthoughts, I wasn't turning around to ask your name, and it wasn't a hollywood movie scene. Not yet at least.
Luckly this wasn't the first time fate was trying to bring us together.
Thank goodness for that.
