"Alright, Wes, I'm fine." I assure him and pick up my book, stopping him from asking a thousand questions. "You don't have to be my nurse."
He eyes me. "Fine. But I'm sending mom up in ten minutes."
"I better die before then."
He laughs but it's not funny. "Aunt Marie's coming in tomorrow, I'd try and die before then at least.
I laugh and settle back into my bed.
"Hey Wes?"
"Yeah?"
"If I do die... Just know.. that he hardest part of this is leaving you."
He sighs and comes over to hug me.
"I'll send mom up." He tells me, then leaves the room.
