Can't you see ?

Riding out with Lala wasn't as bad as Valentine figured it would be. Though Lala haven't said a word to her, she didn't make any faces either. It was like a in and out kind of job today. So after dropping everything off to Chachi, Valentine headed over to the day party. Parking her car and turning it off, Valentine grabbed her bag and phone before stepping out of her car then locked it. Fixing her dress, something she's been doing all day, Valentine made her way over to the beach. Everyone was already there turning up and enjoying themselves. The sun was kissing everyone's skin as they danced around on the beach. Some girls were dressed in their bikinis while others were fully dressed, like Valentine. But Honey, Charisma and Leah were all in bikinis. But being the extra queen she is, Honey wore this big and bright pink sun hat that matched her beach kimono. Raising the two gallons of Patron, Valentine smiled as she danced her way in between Leah and Charisma. "Hey baby!" Honey cheered rushing over to Valentine. "Happy birthday beautiful!" Valentine cheered as they tightly hugged each other. "Hey girls." Valentine smiled looking Leah and Charisma's way. "Hi sexy girl." Leah winked her way and Charisma blew a kiss her way. "So the turn up is real huh?" Valentine smiled handing over the bottles to Honey. "Happy birthday boo." She cheesed making Honey raise the bottles and started twerking making the girls cheer her on. "I knew I heard that voice of yours!" Sydney smiled as she made her way over to Valentine. "Yup she's here!" Valentine cheered and the two shared a laugh. "Where's Marcus and Geo?" She asked making Sydney smirk. "By the bar. Why? You miss bae already?" Sydney teased making Valentine laugh and shake her head 'no'. "I actually told him about how I wanted things." Valentine said as Sydney mouth hung opened. That explains all the girls that's been flocking around him as soon as they stepped onto the beach. And Marcus was giving them the attention they wanted too. But Sydney decided to mind her business being that he didn't belong to Valentine just yet. "And he said?" She asked making Valentine suck her teeth. "What else is there to say but okay? He agreed and it was that. Why, he's been moping or something?" Valentine asked as she looked around for Geo and Marcus. But they were nowhere and in sight. "Moping? No. Thotting? Yes!" Sydney smirked making Valentine laugh and shake her head. "As he should." she smiled not really caring about Marcus and his decisions. "Right now let's grab you a drink, just one being that you're driving." Sydney smiled as she grabbed Valentine's hand and began to drag her through the part and over to the bar. "Aye look who made it." Geo smiled making Valentine give him a head nod while she ignored Marcus all up in this girl's face. "Can she have a sex on the beach?" Sydney asked making Valentine smirk. "No but you can." Sydney looked over at Valentine before they shared a long laugh. "You're a mess! Don't ever repeat shit I tell you!" Sydney continued to laugh making Valentine laugh as well. "Okay, I'm sorry." She giggled as the guy handed her the drink. "Thank you." Valentine smiled and went to hand him the money, but someone already placed money on the counter for her. "Give me one of those too." Jhakim spoke making Valentine smile and turn his way. "You didn't have to, but thank you Jhakim". She smiled before hugging him the best way she could as she held her drink in her other hand.

"Look at you trying to make orange my favorite color and shit." Jhakim flirted with Valentine making her giggle and fan him off. "Boy stop, you're killing me." She smiled as she watched Chachi make her way onto the beach with this guy by her side. Beautiful ? Was an understatement. This guy was dropped dead gorgeous. Like God obviously took his time with this one. From the little jet black curly hair that sat on top of his head, neatly shaped brows that shown off his chinky eyes and pretty thick and full eye lashes. But his smile and white teeth, made her heart jump. And the way his peanut butter blemish free skin glowed showing off his toned and tall body. Chachi got dropped, but got picked up by a goddess. I hear you girl ! Looking around for Valentine, Chachi ended up bumping into Sydney and she helped her out. Seeing these real cute palm tree chairs, Valentine made that her permanent seat as she talked with Jhakim. "Champagne glass and all that! I hear you Val!" Chachi smiled as she made her way over to her. "You know this isn't even me." Valentine giggled as she eyed the boy who stood by Chachi's side. He wasn't paying her no attention being all up in his phone. "Right with your tom boy ass, I'm surprised to even see you in a damn dress but you look good boo I can't even lie. But come over here so we could talk real fast." Chachi said making Valentine stand up and fix her dress before walking away with Chachi. "My girl Val got herself a boo and living lavish. I'm not even mad you boo, live life. You deserve it." Chachi cooed as they entered the bathroom and she began to dig in her bag to pay Valentine. "Nah we're just friends, but I see how you're rolling through though." Valentine smirked as she watched Chachi counting up her money. "Who me? Nah that's another business partner. But I'm the only one who deals with him. I'll introduce you to each other though." Chachi smirked before handing Valentine her another six hundred dollars. "Thank you and next time can you warn me?" Valentine asked making Chachi laugh at her. The look on Valentine's face was priceless when Chachi made a visit earlier. "I'm sorry, you're right. A call couldn't hurt, but let's go enjoy our day." Chachi smiled looping her arms with Valentine's and they headed back onto the beach. Making their way back over to the boys, Chachi started smiling as she watched her friend conversate with Jhakim. He was finally listening to her when she told him that he needed to loosen up some. All work and no play was never a good look for their business. It only made people wonder. What were they doing ? "We're back. Syncere would you like anything to drink?" Chachi asked the boy as he looked over at her and shook his head 'no'. "I'm good, thank you though." He responded before looking over at Valentine. "How you doing?" Syncere smiled making Valentine return the same gesture. "Hey, I'm Valentine." She smiled holding her hand out to him. Looking down at her small and soft hands, Syncere softly shook her hand. "I know, Chachi wouldn't stop talking about you on the way over." He said making Valentine smile and blow a kiss Chachi's way. "I hope everything was good." Valentine smirked making Chachi laugh and nod her head. "Nothing but the best Mohammed Ali." Chachi teased as the girls shared a laugh. Neither guy knew what they were talking about which made it even funnier. "Look at your boy though." Valentine teased as Marcus walked over to the bar with this girl up under his arm. "Girl bye... Don't even get me started on him." Chachi smirked as she began to blush. Marcus was looking too good to be ignored. No matter if they stopped talking or not. She was going to get him again.

Watching as Syncere just sat there quietly while everyone danced, talked and mingled around him, Valentine stopped dancing and made herself over to him. "You're very quiet." She said making him look over at her. "Yeah I don't really party, but Chachi needed someone to ride with being that you don't mess with the other girls." He shrugged as Valentine stared at him. She still couldn't believe how beautiful this boy was to her. "No, I like Asia." Valentine said making Syncere chuckle and shake his head. "Asia was busy." He said making Valentine nod her head. "So... What do you like to do?" She asked wanting to keep the conversation going. Valentine wanted to take a break from the dance floor, Marcus and Jhakim anyways. "Play ball, make money and eat. Why? I'm boring?" He asked making Valentine laugh and shake her head 'no'. "Just makes you different from all of the other guys. Like just take a look at them, they're all dressed up wanting to impress these girls while the girls are doing the same. Just so they could do this shit over and over." Valentine said as she watched everyone make googly eyes to at least one person. But her eyes were on Chachi and Marcus. They were in the cut talking like the last time at his pool party. This time she didn't plan to get upset though. If he wanted to deal with her then that's his decision. Its not like she was trying to make moves with him anyways. "You right, but I seen you getting your two step on." Syncere said making Valentine smirk and look his way. "So you were watching me huh?" She teased making him chuckle and slightly shrug. "Momma always told me keep my eyes on the prize. What you think?" He asked licking over his lips. Valentine gasped making Syncere chuckle and sit back some. "You got me right there, I can't even lie. That was cute." She giggled and he went back to being quiet. Looking over at him again, Valentine had to catch herself from staring so long. "How does it feel to be anti social? Like how many friends do you even own?" Valentine asked. That's another thing that had her watching him like a experiment. She couldn't believe how he could actually sit back and not be the life of the party and is completely fine with that. And he'll stay quiet as long as you don't speak to him. Like how ? That's all she wanted to know. Yes she was used to not having anyone to talk to, but that didn't mean she kept quiet or stood in the back. No. Everyone knew when Valentine was around. Syncere chuckled before looking Valentine's way. "That's like the tenth time I've heard that this week, I'm not anti social or I wouldn't have been talking to you. I'm just very observant." Syncere explained as Valentine began to smirk and lean forward. "So how many friends do you have?" She asked making him chuckle. "Six." And the two shared a laugh.

"Come on, you could dance!" Valentine smiled as she grabbed Syncere by his hand and tried pulling him up onto his feet. "Aye what I tell you?" He asked as he watched her pull on him, but he didn't even budge. "That you used to dance soca when you lived in Trinidad. But that means you still have it. Please? Can you just bust a likkle whine for me?" Valentine asked as she tried to use a Caribbean accent making Syncere laugh at her and shake his head 'no'. "Why? I know you still have it in you." Valentine smiled still tugging at his hands. She was planning to sit with him for the rest of the night until he mentioned that he used to dance back home. Every time Valentine went to a party she wished to dance with a boy from the Caribbeans. Though it sounded very stereotypical by saying every boy from the islands knew how to dance, but majority of them could. And now that there was a boy who was actually born in Trinidad sitting in front of her, Valentine was willing to test that out. "That's was when I was thirteen and fourteen years old. I'm twenty one years old, I'm not dancing." Syncere said making Valentine suck her teeth and drop her hands to her side. "Fine. What year was that? I'll even make the DJ play a song for you." Valentine said making Syncere shake his head 'no'. "Hell no, all of the attention is going to be on me, I hate that shit." He said making Valentine poke her bottom lip out and try the puppy dog eyes. Syncere stared at her before smiling and shaking his head. "Why can't you just go dance with one of those other dudes?" He asked as he fixed his Nike short sweats. "I did and they're bad! So could you do me a favor and dance with me? Just a ten second dance. That's it. I promise." Valentine said as she held her hands up. Syncere thought about it before standing up as he towered over Valentine. "Thank you! Now come bruk off your back for me!" Valentine joked making Syncere chuckle and shake his head. "Nah that would be your job." He said making Valentine smirk and playfully roll her eyes. Getting under the tent where everybody was dancing at, Valentine told the DJ to change to some soca music. Doing as told, the DJ switched from Bad and Boujee to Wet Fete by Gyptian. Valentine smiled as she made her way back over to Syncere. Softly grabbing his hand, Valentine spun herself around so that her back could be facing his front and she started to slowly whine up against him. Not being into it at first, Syncere just stood there until he realized that Valentine was actually a good dancer. He softly held her waist and began to roll his hips to the music. Moving in synch, Valentine wanted to squeal at how good of a dancer Syncere was. She even had to look back at him while watching his waist move like water. Sliding his hand down Valentine's back, Syncere was most definitely had lost count with the ten seconds. Wanting to make the dance more interesting Valentine started to go lower and lower until she was sitting on Syncere's lap and she looked back at his hips. "That's my cousin!" Honey chanted making Charisma follow after her. Catching the people's attention from all over the tent, Valentine giggled before hopping up and tried helping Syncere up but end up stumbling. "Talking about some you don't dance!" She said making him shrug. "Would you like go back to your seat?" She asked and Syncere shook his head 'no' then spun Valentine back around.

Grabbing herself a bottle of water, Valentine took a seat by the tent. After dancing with Syncere, every boy including Geo, Marcus and Jhakim wanted to dance with Valentine. She even tried offering other girls to dance, but they all wanted her. "You. Just the person I was looking for." Chachi smiled as she made her way over to Valentine and took a seat next to her. "What I did do now?" Valentine smiled as she faked a innocent act. "How in the hell did you get Syncere mean ass to dance?! Like I barely was able to get him to conversate with anybody! You had this nigga on the floor and dancing. I need to know." Chachi asked making Valentine laugh at her. Valentine knew what she was talking about when she called Syncere anti social. "I begged him, I swear I had to beg." Valentine said making Chachi gasp as she placed a hand over her chest. "You're lying right?!" She asked not believing a word that came out of Valentine's mouth. All the begging she does and still gets told no ? Chachi figured that Valentine must've done something more than begging. "I swear and besides who could say no to a pretty face like this?" Valentine joked making Chachi laugh but agree with her. "You are one pretty girl! But the hell? Am I ugly?" She asked with a slight frown. "Hell no! You're the baddest bitch in Miami okay?!" Valentine said making Chachi smile but fan her off. "I'm serious, you're something hot, smoking and sizzling." Valentine said making Chachi giggle. "Thank you and same goes to you. But um what went on between you and Lala the other day?" Chachi asked remembering how Lala kept on questioning Valentine's sarcasm. "What? When I asked her why didn't she like me? I just wanted to know." Valentine shrugged. She was over that situation already. Lala didn't have a valid reason, well she didn't have a reason at all not to like Valentine and Valentine was fine with that. "You had her ass shook off that, but no when you were complimenting her. Did you mean that? Cause you should've seen her ass." Chachi asked with a short laugh. Lala really couldn't take her mind off Valentine and her compliments. Its like she was meant to accept them because they couldn't get out of her head. "Yes. Do you not see her make up? And she is pretty to me. Her and Dior are very pretty to me, but their attitudes just sucks ass that's all." Valentine shrugged making Chachi laugh and agree. Chachi never really had to go through that being that they've been friends for a long period of time, but all of the fights they did get into was because Lala and Dior mean asses. "Awwwe! I really have to get you girls to actually become cool. At first it was all about my money, but you're really a down to earth person. Like you're mad cool so I don't get why they're giving you this weak ass cold shoulder." Chachi said before tossing back her shot of Hennessey and cranberry juice. "That would be cool and yes you was like I have a family to feed!" Valentine said and the girls shared a laugh. "Owww we have memories together and you need to come over and meet my little family." Chachi said making Valentine nod her head in agreement. "Just set the date."

Giving hugs out to Honey, Leah, and Charisma. The party was now over and Valentine was ready to go home. "Just because the partying stopped don't mean you lose contact, I'll come to your house and get your ass. Get home safe." Honey said before pulling Valentine into another tight hug. "Thank you and of course not you girls are my family, something I've been looking for all my life. I'll be damned to let ya go." Valentine said as all of the girls smiled at her. "Right, but I'm going to call you tonight. We have a couple of things to chat about." Leah winked making Valentine smile and nod her head. After leaving Valentine's house, Auntie Donna talked Leah into trying to make Valentine start school with her this fall. She was even planning to pay for it. "I'll be up so just send the call in." Valentine said before giving the girls another hug. Walking over to her car where Marcus stood, Valentine grabbed her keys before frowning. "Where's Sydney?" She asked as she grabbed her keys and her phone out of her bag. "She left with Geo being that we took his car over here and I said I was going to ride back with you." Marcus said as Chachi made her way over to them. "See you later boo." She cooed making Valentine turn around and give her a side hug. "Text me when you get in safely." Valentine said before unlocking her car. But she remembered Syncere had to be close by being that he had came with Chachi. Looking over her shoulder, Valentine smiled his way before waving and taking a seat inside of her car. Putting on her seatbelt, Valentine watched as Marcus and Chachi gave each other a hug. His hands slid down to her butt making Chachi laugh and break their hug. "I'll see you tomorrow. Right Marcus?" She smirked making him chuckle before getting inside of Valentine's car. She said nothing but turned on the music and headed out of the parking lot. "You had fun today?" Marcus asked as he held a big smile on his face. He was actually hype that Chachi easily had taken him back without any explanation. "Yes I really love the parties my cousins throw. What about you?" Valentine asked as she held a small smile on her face. Though Jhakim had gotten jealous over Valentine playing Syncere too close, she found it to be cute. He called himself trying to ignore her and not say goodnight. It was too cute to Valentine. "So you feeling Chachi's home boy?" Marcus asked with a raised brow. As soon as it started to get dark, he noticed that Valentine didn't leave Syncere's side. She even danced on him as if he was some special nigga. "No, I don't even know him. Why?" Valentine laughed. Here he was questioning her as if he wasn't in Chachi's face all day. Plus the other girls that's been chasing him before Chachi had gotten there. "You feeling Chachi again? Touching all on her ass and shit." She smirked before rolling her eyes. The nerve of him. "Here you go with this shit. How come you could be all friendly with Chachi but I can't?" Marcus asked making Valentine and look over at him as they stopped at a red light. "I never said that, I just asked being that we're asking questions." She shrugged making Marcus suck his teeth. "Lying ass, that's the only girl you see competition in." He mumbled making Valentine laugh some more. Dude must've had one too many to drink !

Walking Valentine to her door, Marcus slid his hands into his pockets. "Can I sleepover tonight again?" He asked making Valentine shrug. "Go home and shower first, I don't want you on my bed with those clothes." She said before opening up her door and walking inside. "Aight I'll be back." Marcus said and turned around then headed over to his house. Valentine closed her door before taking off her sneakers and heading upstairs. Easily stripping out of her dress, Valentine took herself a quick shower before climbing into her bed. She always be so tired when she's not in her bed, but as soon as she gets a chance to lay down; she gets this random burst of energy. "I need to cook." She huffed before tossing the covers to the side and getting out of her bed. Going downstairs to kill time until Marcus come back, Valentine planned to make some bacon wrapped grilled cheese sandwiches. Something she discovered one night when she couldn't sleep and went scrolling through Facebook. Preparing the food, here came Marcus with a family size bag of cheetos and a pint of birthday cake ice cream. "We're about to be eating like we're eating for two." Valentine said while flipping over the two sandwiches that sat cooking in the frying pan. "That's what I like. You're the real MVP." Marcus smiled because he wasn't trying to drive to get something to eat. "I know, I know." Valentine joked. Marcus chuckled and shook his head. "I seen you doing your thing though, had all of them niggas running to your ass." Marcus smirked as Valentine took out both sandwiches and put them on a plate before handing it over to Marcus. "Including you but I'm not complaining." She shrugged with a smile and grabbed them something to drink. "Who was them girls though?" Valentine asked as she took a seat at the table. "Thank you and I don't know, they kept on calling me some Facebook famous nigga." Marcus shrugged making Valentine laugh and shake her head. "And you ran with it didn't you?" She giggled. Maybe if the girls would've walked away after chasing after Marcus then she would've figured he turned them down. But they clung onto him until Chachi had shown up. "Nah.... I told them it wasn't me but they kept on calling me him so I said fuck it. Why were you watching me though?" Marcus asked as he took a bite out of his bacon wrapped grilled cheese. Valentine jerked her head before laughing at Marcus. "And you noticed me doing my thing. How?" She asked with a cocked brow. Marcus stared at her before laughing himself. "I don't know why you can't see it." He chuckled. "See what?" Valentine asked checking to see if her food had cooled down, but seeing that it didn't she looked back up at Marcus. "'Can't you see the signs? In a room full of people and distractions, we still managed to watch each other." He said making Valentine smile. She wasn't doing this with him tonight. Nope. "Don't you always have to look after family?" She smirked making him chuckle and she winked his way.
