"Morning Stef," Holly smiled, coming through the front door after her routine morning jog.
"I'm surprised my brother lets you go running on your own after everything that's happened," the youngest Salvatore observed, noticing Holly's breathlessness and work out gear.
Holly couldn't help but roll her eyes at this. Ever since Damon managed to free Holly from Lily's clutches he'd been way over protective, even more than he was already. He hated not being with her, panicking at even the smallest thing. There was an occasion where Holly failed to answer her cell after two rings. Damon was convinced something had happened to her, was sure she'd been hurt or taken again. It turned out that in actual fact Holly hadn't even had time to take her phone out of her pocket.
"Why do you think I go so early? He's still fast asleep in bed."
"Oh, is he?" Damon voiced in annoyance, making himself visible at the top of the stairs.
As Damon slowly made his way down the stairs, his eyes not leaving his girlfriend as he did so, Stefan waited for the fallout. This was not going to be pretty.
Damon stepped as close to Holly as he could, an annoyed expression and angry stance taking over his entire body. "Holly, do you have any idea how stupid you've been?"
"I have a life Damon. Going for a run is not stupid?"
"It is when there are a bunch of zombie, douchebag heretics out there who will stop at nothing to make me suffer."
"Damon, listen to me..."
"No, you listen to me god damn it. Holly, if I hadn't got you out Lily would have killed you. You're human. You get hurt, you die. I'm not letting that happen."
Listening to what Damon had to say, Holly could see where he was coming from. She'd been focusing on how stifled she felt, not how scared he was. If it was the other way around she would probably act exactly the same. Maybe she had been stupid. Maybe she should be more worried.
"Baby, I'm fine," Holly whispered, reaching her hand up and placing it on Damon's cheek.
"But you won't be if you keep sneaking away without telling me."
Watching everything that was going on, Stefan tried to think up a compromise, a way they could both live whilst they worked out how to deal with the Lily situation. After getting to know Holly, Stefan could see why Damon loved her so much. She made him better. Made him happy. When he was with Elena he was always trying to meet her expectations, always trying to be the man he thought she wanted him to be. Holly was different. She loved Damon for who he already was. She accepted him in all his forms.
Stefan saw how frantic Damon was when Lily took Holly hostage. He was like a bull in a china shop. He was bouncing off the walls, smashing everything around him. If anything happened to Holly, that would be Damon done. Stefan knew it. There was no Damon without Holly.
Reflecting on what his older brother said about Holly being human, Stefan thought he may have just found a solution. "What about blood?"
"What the hell are you going on about?" Damon frowned, turning from his girlfriend to his brother in frustration.
"Give Holly vampire blood...."
"WHAT?" Holly practically shouted from Damon's side.
"Hear me out. Whilst all this Lily, heretic thing is going on, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to be on vampire blood. That way if something does happen then at least you'll be ok."
"I'll be a vampire. That's hardly ok."
"It's a compromise. You'll get your freedom to go out and you Damon won't be so freaked out every time she's not standing right next to you."
Damon would be lying if he said he hadn't thought about turning Holly. She'd been in danger and hurt so many times already since knowing him. It was only a matter of time. He wanted to be with her forever. Wanted her to be safe.
"It's not the worst idea in the world," Damon began before being interrupted by his girlfriend.
"If we're even considering this then you may as well just turn me right here, right now," Holly shook, not quite believing the turn in conversation. She'd gone for a jog for Christ's sake.
"It might not come to that," Stefan voiced, shaking his head sympathetically.
"But it might," Damon pushed.
"I've always planned on turning eventually, you know that. I want to spend eternity with you Damon. When I do turn though, I want it to be on MY terms. Not because I've been hurt and it's the only way out. If we're going to do this, then we may as well do it now."
".....CUT"
"Babe, I'm just going for a lie down. Come wake me up when I'm needed back on set will you?" Skye smiled wearily, wrapping herself securely around Ian's waist and looking up at him with a contented smile.
"Are you ok Princess? You don't normally need to sleep during the day."
"I'm fine. I just haven't slept well the past couple of nights. Maybe it's the new bed sheets or something."
"If you're sure," Ian smiled, leaning down and placing his lips on his wife's forehead as they walked off set together.
"Positive."
Skye had managed to get at least an hours sleep in the dressing room before she was woken by a bang at the door. Her peaceful slumber interrupted much to her frustration.
"Who is it?" She yawned, slowly sitting up on the sofa and rubbing the tired feeling from her eyes.
"It's Kat. Can I come in? The doors locked?"
"Sure. Just one sec."
Pushing herself up to her feet, Skye was suddenly taken aback by a dizzy spell that set in. The whole room span for a few seconds, a horrible sickly feeling settling in to the pit of her stomach.
Grabbing on to the wall, Skye squeezed her eyelids shut, waiting for the spinning feeling to stop. When it finally did, and the nausea subsided, Skye proceeded to the door. Maybe she just stood up too fast.
"Hey," Kat bounced with her normal infectious grin when Skye let her in.
"Hey," Skye copied with a tremble, still not feeling right after her episode.
Taking a minute to properly look at her best friend, Kat couldn't help but notice the clammy, pale complexion and shaky hands Skye was now displaying. "What's wrong? You don't look too good."
"I'm ok. I think I'm just coming down with a bug or something."
"It wasn't those burritos last night was it? I knew they tasted weird."
"Maybe, I guess. What did you need me for anyway?" Skye asked, wanting to change the subject. She really didn't want to talk about being sick. Just the thought of it had her stomach churning again.
"I just needed a tampon. I've run out and we're always on at the same time. Where are you keeping them?"
"I haven't got any here. Maybe someone in wardrobe can you find you some."
Kat immediately became confused at Skye's answer. If she was on, then Skye would be on too. They are always joking about how close they are that even their menstrual cycles are in sync. It obviously hadn't dawned on Skye yet.
"What do you mean you haven't got any?"
"I've not started my period yet....." Skye suddenly stopping, her eyes going wide as it hit her and Kat what this could mean.
"Kat, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Yeah....it wasn't the burrito."
