LEXI'S POV

I got into Jake's car and we drove back to our house's. I still can't remeber where i've seen him before, I just can't remeber it's on the tip of my tongue oh well. Jake dropped me off at Mr.Walker's house and drove away so I think he was heading back to his pack house. I decided to grab something to eat, I looked in the fridge and there was some ground beef. I guees i'll just make some taco's or something.
After finishing the taco. I grabbed my workout clothes and went to the gym, I hopped on the treadmill for a good half hour. I got bored so I headed for a run in the woods, i'll make sure this time to run the opposite way that way it'll be less likely of a chance for me to run into them again. I ran through the woods mesmorized by the beautiful scenery. The tree's were all a lush green and the air felt warm with an amazing breeze, I stumbled upon this little pond oasis type place, the pond was this beautiful blue color and somehow there were even gold fish in there, I think someone actually must be coming out here and taking care of it. Anyway there was this little waterfall and some rock and wow this is really cool. I gulped down some water and layed down just the soak in the beauty. After it started getting dark I ran back to the house, I quickly changed back into a person and took a quick shower. I checked the time and it was about eight so I cooked up some food for Mr.Walker when he got home, I havent seen him in a while I usually fall asleep before he gets back and I don't want to wake him in the morning. I cooked some pizza rolls (made extra for when he got in) and I sat down to watch TV unfortunatly spongebob wasn't on so I just watched random shows until I heard Mr.Walker pull up in the drive way. When he came into the house he looked suprised to see me still up past 10:30.
"Hey princess, suprised to see you still up."
I just smiled at him and pointed towards the kitchen and held up my plate gesturing that I had made him something to help hopefully he gets it. He walked back in from the kitchen with a plate of pizza rolls.
"So I got you something"
He said nervously and went to his bag he brings back in forth from the bar. He opened it up and threw and huge dvd case to me.
"It's all the episodes of spongebob, thought you might like it for the days that it's not on."
I smiled at him showing my appreciation. He really is too kind for his own good.
:So you;ve been here for a while and I feel like it's time for us to get some stuff for your room to decorate it and what not. Like paint colors and bed spreads and whatever you may want. I'll be home pretty early tomorrow so we can go shopping"
I looked at him suprised why would anyone be willing to do this for me, he hardly knows me. I just smilled and nodded my head. I decided that it was about time to head for bed. I got up and did something that even suprised me I hugged him and hen went to bed. I know it doesn't sound like me but I feel like it was the least i could do for him. Well time for bed.
I woke up the mext morning to the sound of my alarm going off, I followed my usual morning routine as I normally did and walked down stairs to cook breakfast. I made him toast and eggs bacon and pancakes I even cut up fruit for him. I heard Jake's knock at the door and opened it to see him smiling. He leaned down suddenly and hugged me, but instead of stiffining like i normally do I gave him a quick hug/sqeeze back. He was so suprised he stood there shocked as I walked by him. I may dislike him but he gave me a chance to feel normal, well as normal as I could possibly ever feel. I jumped in the car and waited for him to compose himself and walk back to the car. We drove for a few minutes in silience and then he broke it.
"You seem in a pretty good mood princess what's up?"
I just rolled my eyes at his ridiculous name for me and shook my head smiling and looking back out the window. We neared school and I saw the normal crowd who we met up looking towards the car anxiously. I don't hate these people or anything I mean their nice and they've excepted me but I don't know this many people in a huge crowd is kind of intimidating. The bell signalling for us to head for class rang and me matt and Jake headed to our first period class.
At about midway through class Jake and Matt got called out of class, I think they said something about it was for a project or something I can't remember. I started walking to my second period alone for the first time, I was actually relieved as I was walking someone grabbed my shoulder and oushed me up against the lockers. I looked and it was that creepy guy who kept staring at me. I tried shoving him away but he put both his hands on the lockers blocking me in. I shoved his cheast really hard and he grunted a bit but would move. He leaned down next to my ear and whispered.
"Haven't seen you since last summer baby, Hows it going........mutt?"
I frooze ofcourse now I remeber
*FLASHBACK*
I was running through the woods In human form it was dark and a white wolf would be too noticable. I heard shots from behind me and kept running through the woods trying my best to dodge the tree's. I could here their feet getting closer and closer I was pushing my legs as fast as they would go and yet I still couldn't get away from them. I felt someone almost breathing down the back of my neck. Please don't let them get me oh please. I kept running, I felt someone grab the back of my jacket and yank. I lost balance and fell into the person who had grabbed ahole of my jacket. I looked up and it was the staring guy.He had ahole of me by the waist and I was struggling to get out of his grip. I could hear the others coming, I almost wriggled out of his grip but he threw me into a tree pinning me to it.
"You think after all this time, after so many years of searching and chasing getting so close yet you always getting away, you think we're going to let you go so easily?"
I was shaking and I was trying to get away, I wasn't crying though I'd never give him that satisfaction. I just looked him Straight in the eyes, He could see me shaking some though.
"Oh" He said brushing the back of his hand along my cheek. "Dont worry, your worth much more alive to us than you are dead sweetie."
I bite his hand kneed him in the whoha's and ran changed into my wolf running as fast as it was humanly or werewolfly possible.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
I looked at him.
"What's wrong sweeetie, did you not miss me?"
He laughed cruely and grabbed my arm trying to drag me towards one of the schools many exits. Someone ended bumping into him and he lost his grip on me. I ran out of the school and shifted as I ran into the woods. I didn't stop running I was afraid they'd be behind me everytime I heard a leaf crackle or a bird chirp I thought it was them. I didn't stop until I was literally unable to run anymore, I was so tired my legs just gave way causing me to fall, but even on the ground I was still hypervintalating. These are the people who made my life hell they tourtured me, forcing me as a young child to run for days on end away from them. They were ruthless.
JAKE'S POV

Me and Matt were walking out of the office, we had just interviewed the principle for a project in english. As me a mark were making our way to our next class I noticed Kegan this annoying jock who annoyed me to no end. He had his arms on two sides of someone blocking them in, I didn't see much of a problem in it thinking it was just another one of the school sluts until I saw who it was, It was princess. She was looking at him glaring but I could see her shaking as if she was scared shitless. I was about to walk over there but a huge crowd of people walked inbetween where they were and I was, forcing me to momentarily loose sight of them. When I looked again Kegan was on the floor curled into a ball holding his crotch I have a feeling Princess has something to do with that. I looked around and I saw her running away. I followed her out the door but when I got there she was no where to be found. I guess she went back to her house. I walked back inside the school, after school I'll go over and see what's wrong.
After school I still hadn't seen her, so I went to her house and knocked on the door. She didn't answer and I was ecxtremely worried but I just thought maybe hse didn't want to talk to anyone. So I walked back to my house and laid down.
Mr.Walker's POV

It was about four and I was making my way home. I was excited to finally spend some time with her, She feels like my daughter even though I hardly know her. When I first heard about some orphan girl who was going to be living with me I was a bit skeptical I also heard she hit alpha Jake and that made me expect here to be some mean looking girl with piercings and permanent glare. When I opened the door I ws taken by suprise this cute girl was standing there. Im not saying that in the im attracted to her way but I felt and instant connection like a father and daughter. When I looked her in the eyes all I could see was a life of pain, suffering and death. I could tell that her eyes weren't a natural brown but I didn't know what they were. On the first night after she went to bed, I checked on her to make sure she was ok. She had the covers knocked off and she seemed distrested probably a nightmare she won't remeber by morning though, so I pulled the covers over her and left the room quietly trying not to wake her. Ever since then I've felt protective over her, My mate died when me and her were both young she was 18 and I was 19, She passed away thanks to a horrible fire at her work place she was 7 months pregnant with a baby girl and I've never gotten over it, Princess helps me deal with the pain a bit if that makes sense, she feels like the daughter I lost. On the first day when I woke up and I found that she had left food for me I felt this ovewhelming sense of happyness. I don't want her to leave I really don't, niether does Jake though I know he hasn;t told many people I know she is Jake's mate, the way he looks at her Is the way I use to look at my mate Julia. I was heading back to the house so me and her could go shopping to personalize her room a bit, I'm hoping that she might want to stay more if my house felt like home to her. I pulled into the driveway and headed inside to get her. I opened the door and I knew something was wrong. She hasn't been here. When I come home and she's here the house feels warm and homey. Right now the house just feels empty and emotionless. I ran around the house searching for her I checked every room and even some of the back yard she wasn't anywhere. By this point I was almost crying what if she was hurt or got into an accident. I ran across the street to get Jake.
JAKE'S POV

I was up in my room listening to some music when I heard the door bell ring I quickkly got off my bed and headed down the steps. I neared the door and heard the bell go off again. I grabbed the door knob and growled someones impatient. When I opened the door though I was suprised. Mr.Walker was standing there sweating and looking like he was about to have and emotional meltdown.
"Princess I can't find her, She's gone missing"
