DEVON'S POV
We we're walking to our designated class room for a damn class but I can feel something is wrong.
I stopped on my track when I suddenly felt a pang of fear in my chest .
"Something wrong sis ?" Samantha approached me and touched my back .
Iba ang pakiramdam ko ngayon , why do I have this feeling na this isn't one of those normal days ?
I just shrugged it off and gave her a 'none' look
Of course being Samantha she didn't buy that , but she just let me .
Pagpasok namin , tahimik lahat ng edstyudante na parang may dumaan na Santo .
We went to our sit , nagtama ang mata namin ni Finn na ngumiti sa akin , I just simply gave him a nod and before I can finally sit down nahagip ng mga mata ko ang tingin sa akin ni Darren .
Walang gurong pumasok after 14 minutes and students are getting ready to go out . pag 15 minutes na kasi na walang guro ibig sabihin wala talaga yung teacher .
But to our surprise biglang pumasok ang isang matangkad na lalaking guro ?
I never saw him in this campus and he has this obvious muscled arms with like having a placard on his forehead telling that
'I'm your new teacher'
"I'm not yet that late so stick that ass back to your chairs"
Agad namang nag ayusan ang mga edstyudante at tumahimik , well I can't blame them . This new teacher seems something to be scared of , for a normal student , but unfortunately G.A isn't a normal school so to add up, he has this aura giving of authority and his deep voice is giving emphasis on it .
Well , I can say that the class went well . It was silent which is good for me and that teacher called Mr. Ferd,
By the way he is really cool and smart that it captures the attention of the students .
Maybe if they change all the teachers into someone like him then no one is skipping classes and everyone would be busy studying for a good grade .
But ... that will only happen if the stones started to jump itself .
When lunch came, we immediately walked our way to the cafeteria to satisfy our stomachs .
"Jenise , pumunta ka daw kay Tanda kahapon ?"
Napatingin kaming lahat sa tanong ni Audrey kay Jenise . what ? She went there without telling us ?
Jenise just looked at us using my signature poker face
" Ask Tanda or Max , Hindi kinaya ng utak ko ang mga info na sinabi niya , it's so madami and magulo "
tsaka niya tinusok tusok yung lasagna niya .
Yeah , maybe we should really asked Max instead .
Tumayo ako at pumunta sa counter para kumuha ng pizza dahil kulang ko.
"A milkshake" I diverted my gaze to this guy beside me , he is not a student for sure and I can sense danger in him .
Hindi ko alam kung paranoid lang ako pero nung magtama ang mata namin I felt something .
He's not ordinary , maybe he is one of those investors who came to our school dahil medyo may katandaan nadin siya .
Then he left , he was fast ... hindi ko man lang napansin na wala na siya sa tabi ko . What the heck is this ?
I suddenly remembered something , the assassins , the reapers .
One of our most ridiculous mission a year ago was to barged in a monsters den . The reaper's den .
Oh , remembering it . That was almost a suicide . =_=
We we're said that there are some illegal transaction happening inside that abandoned building and we were to caught them on act .
Subalit hindi naging successful ang mission na yon dahil wala kaming nahuling assassins dahil naka alis sila agad ... they were so fast and so silent na hindi mo man lang mararamdaman ang presenya nila .
And Audrey was almost killed there dahil sa dami ng dugong nawala sa kanya from a solo fight with a bunch of guards on the second floor .
but she managed to survive , of course she should, dahil hindi namin kakayaning may mawala sa amin .
"Devon faster !"
Napalingon ako sa table namin ng tinawag ako ni Jenise . Huminga ako ng malalim at nagtungo sa table namin .
After lunch break we went back to our next class which is in the 4th floor of BB .
When we entered I immediately took the window-side chair at pumalong baba doon .
Pumasok na ang iba pa naming mga kaklase and sila Darren .
Why aren't they complete ? Where is the kid ?
After a while of staying in this school I must admit he was one of the guys that I am somehow close to . He was annoying and such but he looks innocent for me . I don't see a gangster in him . He's like a little boy I need to take care of.
The class started and it was boring for me kaya tinuon ko na lang ang atensyon ko sa labas , I can see the big trees below and how it darkens the place because of the tall wide trees na halos Hindi makapasok ang sinag ng araw .
"Psst , where is Finn ?" Napalingon ako sa tanong ni Audrey kay Fourth na Nasa likod niya . Nagkibit balikat lang siya bilang tugon .
Weird , he doesn't know where their kid is ? Impossible.
"Sabi niya matutulog daw siya sa garden" sagot naman ni Matthew .
Agad akong napadungaw sa bintana ulit , there are four garden in this school and one of those are just below us .
Maybe he is in this garden or on those trees sleeping his ass off , it would be the most perfect place to sleep dahil walang ingay .
Aalisin ko na sana ang tingin ko sa baba pero may napansin ako
A shadow , it was too fast na Hindi mo talaga ito mapapansin kung Hindi mo tititigan .
I focused on where it stopped and saw him hiding on one of those big trees .
The cafeteria guy
I recognize him by his posture and a gut feeling. Napakunoot ang noo ko ng makitang parang may kinakapa siya sa bulsa niya .
At mas ikinagulat ko ng mapatingin siya sa banda ko . Damn !
He moved towards the trees at hindi ko alam kong bakit bigla akong kinabahan .
Wala na akong sinayang na oras at tumakbo palabas ng classroom , narinig ko pa ang pagtawag nila ng pangalan ko pero hindi ko na yun pinansin .
My instinct is telling me I should go there , my instinct is telling me that maybe Finn is sleeping there and I need to save his ass !
Tinahak ko ang hagdan pababa at tumatakbong nagtungo sa garden .
Napatigil ako sa pagtakbo ng wala akong makitang ni isang tao sa mapunong banda ng harden.
I closed my eyes and concentrated , I need to feel his presence .
Nakarinig ako ng mahinang kalukos at agad akong nagpunta doon , madilim na sa bandang ito kahit hapon pa lang dahil sa mga malalaking puno na hinaharangan ang sikat ng araw .
" shit Finn !"
I saw an unconscious Finn lying on the grass , agad akong napalingon sa paligid .
"Who the hell are you ?" Hindi kalakasan kong sabi pero alam kong maririnig niya ito , kung sino man siya .
" I was just greeting the kid , lady "
Sabi ng malamig na tinig , hindi ko alam kung nasaan siya dahil hindi siya nagpapakita .
"What do you need ?" Matapang kong sabi habang pinakikiramdaman ang paligid .
I don't know where I got this braveness to talk to him despite the idea that he might be a reaper , no ... he is a reaper.
Buhat buhat ko pa din ang walang malay na si Finn sa aking hita . He is still breathing, thou his pulse is not normal ! Parang ang bagal ...
"Nothing much , just an hello to the young sheep"
After that wala na akong narinig sa kanya at alam ko ng linisan na niya ang lugar .
I tried to wake him up pero hindi siya magising , wala siyang galos o kahit ano pero impossible ding tulog lang siya .
I whistled , I hope it can reach my friends dahil hindi ko mabubuhat ang lalakeng ito ng mag-isa . He's 5'7 for Pete's sake !
Patuloy pa rin ako sa pagsipol , it was a 'I need help' tune from our government and after some minutes, I saw Audrey rushing towards us with the others and with Darren .
"What the fuck happened to him ?!" Sigaw ni Darren na agad siyang binuhat at nagsimula ng maglakad .
"I'll explain it later , first we need to bring him to the clinic "
"Hospital" tutol naman nito .
Hindi na ako sumagot at nagtungo nga kami sa school hospital .
Tinanong kami ng resident nurse kung anong nangyari .
"I found him unconscious"
"Maybe he is just sleep-"
"Damn ! He is not !" Sigaw ko rito na nagpatahimik sa kanya .
"Calm down Devon " si Audrey habang hinihimas ang likod ko .
" aa- cge mag hintay na lang po kayo dito sa labas at ichecheck namin siya "
Lumabas nakami at naupo sa chairs doon .
I massaged my temple to calm a bit .
No one dared to talk until the doctor came out and we all stood up , dumating nadin sila Fourth at tinatanong kong anong nangyari pero walang kumibo sa amin.
"He doesn't have any physical injury that can make him unconscious like that , we'll wait for the lab test result muna " umalis na din yung doctor kaya pumasok kaming lahat sa loob to found out a sleeping Finn on the bed .
I inhaled deeply and let it out .
I need to calm myself and think clearly .
"The doctor said the result will be after an hour , hintayin na lang natin " napatingin naman kami kay Samantha and she just gave a half smile .
"Now , what the fuck just happened ?" Frustrated na tanong ni Fourth
No one dared to talk , of course ako lang naman ang nakaka alam ng buong kwento kaya nakatuon ang atensyon nilang lahat sa akin .
"There is this guy who I saw in the cafeteria earlier , I felt something different when our eyes met ... parang hindi siya pangkaraniwang tao and it answered my question nung nakita ko siya sa garden na iyon . Nakadungaw ako sa bintana kanina sa klase when I saw him approaching the flock of big trees and I had this feeling that Finn was there and I was right"
I inhaled deeply at tinignan ang reaction nila .
Silence .
"I saw Finn lying on the floor and that guy was gone already "
I don't want to tell the whole detail , on how I thought that he is a reaper or what dahil mas ikakatanong nila iyon sa pagkatao namin . Which we don't want them to know it fully .
It's a rule we must abide .
No one talked , it was like they were processing what I've said and having their own conclusion or reason of the problem.
I turned my gaze at Darren. who is looking at me directly , his eyes are really deadly yet captivating .
I immediately shrugged that thought.
Are you out of your mind Devon ?! Captivating ?
Iniwas ko na lang ang tingin ko at nanatiling tahimik ang lahat.
It was a f*cking one hour of silence ..
"He was drugged"
Shock was evident on our face sa unang mga salita na sinabi ng doctor .
"F*cking Sh1t what ?!" Malutong ang mura ni Fourth na napatayo pa dahil sa narinig.
It was a bit unexpected , they were gangsters ... they smoke , they drink , they go to club , they f*ck and ... they don't do drugs ?
"It wasn't a simple drug , I don't know what drug he had taken but it slowed his hearbeat , we injected antidote to him earlier so he will be fine soon "
He excused himself and we all looked to Finn who was still sleeping.
"I will kill that bastard"
Galit na wika ni Darren .
"Who is he ?"
Hindi ko sinagot ang tanong ni Matthew , hindi ko naman talaga kilala yun eh .
"Did you see his face ?"
I can somehow remember it , thou it wasn't clear enough because he is wearing a hat .
Bumuntong hininga na lang ako
"No , I didn't " .
