Sarah's pov
I dont know exactly how this happened,oh wait I do.We were surrounded by Z's as they were trying to get to Lucy.All of us were separated as we took on our own handful.
I wrapped the chain tightly in my hand as I threw it around a Z's leg,bringing it down and then shooting it,coins flying everywhere.I then wrapped my chain around another ones neck and uses my spikey brass knuckles to kill it
"Sarah"Someone yelled and I looked to my right amd seen Murphy throwing Lucy to me since he was cornered.I immediately put my gun away and was ready to catch her.As she flew threw the air laughing
As soon as I caught her she started crying.I ran and got on top of a car next to 10k as Z's began to corner me
"A little help guys"I said and kicked a Z off the car.They were able to get me an opening as I ran towards a bus and seen a bunch of Abraham Lincoln's coming out along with Doc
"What in the living hell"I said as I killed one with the lock of the chain.Soon all of them were dead.
"Ill take her now"Murphy said as he rushed to take her out if my arms
"Adorable isnt she"He asked and I nodded as he talked gibberish to her
"I can take her if you want"I said trying to grab her but he held her out of my reach
"No,I got her"He said and I held my hands up defensively
"We need to set up camp for a while,get that baby a safe place"Warren said
"There's some woods a little while away from here,we'll be safe for a while"Vasquez said and we nodded as he led the way
Once we got to the woods,we found an area where we could settle.I was about to sit down on a log before I was pulled up and being dragged somewhere
"Where we going"I asked and looked up at my boyfriend.Damn he's tall.
"To find food"He said and then we found ourselves at a river
"Were fishing"He said as he started making a make shift rod
"You know how to fish"I asked and he nodded
"Used to do it all the time with my pa"He said threw the rod into the river
"It looks pretty clean"I said and he nodded
"And I need a shower.So I'm going to go take a long needed and deserved bath"I said and pulled off my top and everything else l had on.I jumped in on the other side so I didnt get his side dirty.
I looked over the rock amd seen he was glancing at me every now and then.
"You know if you want.You can join me"I said as I scrubbed away dirt that was in my hair.I seen him blush but chuckle and look away
"10k hand me that rag"I said and he walked over and handed me a rag since we had no towels.I seen him glance down in the clear water before a blush appeared on his cheeks and walking away making me laugh.
I quickly dried myself and put on the fresh clothes that were waiyong for me on the rock.I then slipped on my heel boots and walked to 10k drying my hair.(What she's wearing)
"Okay im done"He said as we walked hand in hand to the rest of the group,the fish in his other hand
"Don't you think it's weird how Lucy attracts the Z's"I said
"Yeah it is pretty freaky"He replied
"She could very us killed"I said and he looked over to our right and pointed
"What's Vasquez doing"I asked and i pulled him along behind trees and watched as he disappeared

"Caught some trait"10k said as we approached them and seen everyone smile

"Be one with the fish"10k replied making me giggle and pull him to sit on a log with
"Far out"Doc said and Warren gave him a fist bump
"Well I got some foil in here somewhere.Were going to get one of these bad boys up"Doc said and I looked over at 10k and seen he was staring at the zombie/human family
"Hey we need to get a look at that baby"Warren said
"Yeah well good luck.Super Dad over there won't let anybody touch her.Im guessing he's afraid we're going to leave her behind"Addy said and Warren shook her head
"Where's Vasquez"Warren asked
"We passed him in the woods.Heading south toward town"10k said
"Well im gonna find out where he keeps disappearing to.And you guys see if you can get that baby away from Murphy"She said and put on her jacket taking a walkie talkie from Addy and leaving.
I looked over at Murphy making the rest of the people around me do the same.And then Murphy looked our way.
"I can try and steal her away from him"I said and got up
"Be careful"10k said and I nodded and walked over to Murphy
"Hey Murphy"I said and gave him a fake smile which made him look at me weird look
"Hey"He said wearily
"Hows little LuLu"I cooed and he looked up at me
"Fine.What's wrong with you"He asked and held her tighter
"What nothing.Just seeing how my niece is doing.You know I could take her from you,give you some time to rest"I said and reached for her
"No.I got her"He said and the rest of the group came to join us
"Is she chewing on a finger"I asked and Murphy looked down and took it from her mouth and she started crying
"Great look what you did"He said and I sighed before pinching the bridge of my nose
"We just want to give her a quick check up"Doc said
"Since when were you a real doctor"He said and got up
"She just had sugar water,Doc just wants to check her"Addy said as Murphy tried tk walk away but we followed
"Stop following me.Don't forget I've seen how you treat baby's"He replied
"And weve seen how you treat human"My boyfriend said
"Im not gonna let you hurt her"He said
"Murphy no one is going to hurt her.She has no mother.How do you think that's gonna affect her,I know what that's like"I snapped And He eyed me up and down
"Baby and I are gling for a walk"He said and looked at Cassandra,"Make sure they stay here.Nobody leaves"
"Nobody leaves"Cassandra repeated
"Murphy get back here"I said and stepped up but Cassandra stepped in front of me
"I am getting away from people like you"He said and walked away
We went back to our original position glancing at Cassandra every now and then who was watching us like a hawk
"We have to go after him,he shkudlnt be alone out there.Especially with the baby"Addy said
"What about little miss sunshine over there.He told her to stop us"Doc asked
"She cant stop all of us at once"10k said
"I dunno I think we should wait for Warren and Vasquez.They Should be here soon"Doc said and I shook my head
"No.Vasquez is in some weird shit.I've seen the way he reacts to those Zeros.My guess is he's hunting for blood,and he isn't going to stop till its shed.And you've seen the way the baby attracts Z's"I said
"There's four of us and one of her.If she tries to stop us,well do what we have to do"10k said and it surprised me.His soft yet deep voice talking about killing Cassandra sent shivers down my spine
"Well what does that mean"Addy asked
"She's not Cassandra.Not anymore"He replied
"I dunno man.She is getting weirder.And you seen how strong she is"Doc said
"If you guys dont kill her I will.Only if it comes to that"I said and they looked at me."God I wish I had my bow and arrow right now"I said and Addy sighed
"We all run in different directions.She'll grab on of us and the other three can go look for Murphy"10k said and we all nodded before standing up.10k approached me and gave me a soft kiss
"Be careful"He said and i nodded and he gave me another kiss which sent my heart rate up
"Alright.Ready on three"I said and Everyone nodded,"One.two.three"I said and took off running in a direction
As soon as we all bolted I heard a growl an another set of feet running.Our running didn't last long because I heard Addy screaming.I immediately took off in the direction of the screaming.I seen Cassandra twisting Addy's arm behind her back,ready to break it.
I ran up to her and used all my strength to kick her in the head and push her off of Addy as I helped Addy up.And that's when Doc and 10k came towards us
"Cassandra what the hell is wrong with you"Doc asked as they pulled Addy and I towards them
"Nobody leaves"She said and glared at us
"I told you,its not her"10k said
"C'mon lets go back"I said and we all walked back to the camp with Cassandra close to us.When we got there we took a seat some where
"How's your arm"I asked
"Feeling's starting to come back"She answered and I looked at 10k who was twisting a knife in his hands
"What are we doing about it"10k saud emphasizing 'it'
"Don't"I said and he looked at me confused
"Don't what"He asked and I ignored him and stood up
"We Can't just stay here.Who knows what Murphy's up to"He said
"Could we try talking to her"Doc asked and I shook my head
"Her humanity it gone.Shes not human anymore"I said
"She'll talk to me"He said and put down his knife,took out his gun out if his holster and took off his jacket

"Get ready to run"He said and walked towards Cassandra
"What the hell is he doing"Addy asked
"I dunno but when someone tells me tl get ready to run,I get ready to run"Doc said and we watched 10k talk to her for a bit before he turned and gave us a look
We took that as our chance to run,so we did.We bolted to another part of the woods when we heard a loud growl like scream
"That don't sound good"Doc said and i got worried
"We need to keep going.C'mon"Addy said
After a while of walking we found something on the floor
"Well they've definitely been here here all right"Doc said as he picked up a rag with a stick full of shit
"Well where did they go from here"Addy asked
"Its hard to say.I wonder how 10k's doing"Doc said
"He's alright.She wouldn't really hurt him"Addy said
"You said that the first time we ran and look what happened to you"I said and they looked at me
"So what was that back at camp.You kinda just snapped at him"Addy said as we continued to walk
"Nothing"I simply said
"Its didnt look-"but i cut her off
"Listen do not interrogate me with things you do not understand.Addy you are my friend not my god Damn guidance counciler.Got it"I snapped ans looked up and seen not two but four people looking at me
"Hmm the apocalypse.Am i right guys"I said and started walking back to 10k with them close by.
Addy and Doc filled them in pn the whole Murphy,Cassandra,Lucy details.And where 10k was at the moment.
"So how were the Zeros Vasquez"I asked and he just looked at me
"Cat got your tongue"I said Vasquez glared at me as we approached the camp and seen 10k's body
"Well we didn't find Murphy but we found these two"Doc said and I noticed how sad and mad he looked
"And not a moment too soon.We didn't have much fight left"Warren said as i approached him and a large lump in the dirt

"Cassandra"10k answered emotionlessly and I just stared at him and wrapped my arms around his waist

"Saw that one coming"Vasquez said and I gave him a look

"It okay kid.We understand"Doc said
"Don't try to make me feel better about it.I don't want to feel better about it.There's nothing to feel better about.Nothing.Thats what I want to feel"He said and I immediately unwrapped my arms around him and was about to speak before someone else did
"Whats going on here"Murphy asked and we all turned to him
"Where's Cassandra"He asked
"She's dead.Im sorry"Warren said and Murphy approached us
"Dead?How?What happened?"He asked us
"I mercied her"10k said and Murphy glared at him
"You.I gave her life.And you had no right to take that away"Murphy said
"She wasn't human.That wasn't human Not since you bit her"He said and Murphy shook his head
"Three thousand two hundred fifty five"He said and then lunged at him but Warren was able to push him back
"Not right now"She whispered loud enough for us to her and he growled
"Wait where's the baby"I asked and he stepped back
"You don't have to worry about the baby anymore"He said and walked off.
We followed shortly behind him to pack up and hit the road again
"Hey you okay"I asked 10k as I cleaned up his wounds a little way from the group.All he did was shrug
"You do not get to do this"I said and threw the towel down
"Do what"He asked
"This.You do not get to act like a Z.Not like Cassandra"I said and he stood up

"Yes.If you continue to act like this"I said raising my voice with every word"You can't act like this.So emotionless,so dead.You do not get to turn off your humanity"I yelled and causing the rest if the group to look our way.And it hit him like a slap on the face
"I wont let you.I need you"I whislered and he immediately hugged me as tight as he could and it seems the whole day was forgotten
