[Fia's POV]
"UHMMM..." I moaned to a slight pain that I feel in my tummy. The weird smell of medicine and antiseptic automatically filled my nostril. Binuksan ko ang mga mata ko at napatitig sa kabuoan ng silid. Agad ko namang nakita ang mga kaibigan ko. Alice was sitting in a stool beside my bed. Si Louise at si Mikaela naman ay sa isang couch malapit sa pinto. Kinutuban na agad ako ng masama. I put a hand in my tummy at pinakiramdaman ang baby ko.
"Fia?! Thank God, you're awake!" Alice stood up from her stool at lumapit sa'kin. "Kamusta na ang pakiramdam mo? May masakit ba sa'yo?" She framed a hand to my cheek.
Napatango ako at nag iinit ang mga matang napatitig sa kanya. "Ang... baby ko?"
"The baby is fine," sagot niya at tuluyan na akong napahikbi.
Thank God walang nangyari sa baby ko. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself kapag may nangyaring masama sa kanya.
"Sssh .. we'll get the doctor for you," said Alice and looked at Louise. "Please call the nurses station, girl. Tell them that she's awake."
Tumango si Louise saka inabot ang receiver. Mikaela also came up to me and took one of my hand and squeezed it. "May natatandaan ka ba?"
Napailing ako. I don't remember how I've landed in this hospital room. Everything was a blur to me. I have a hazed memory of me and Eric kissing pero parang hindi naman totoo. Parang isang masamang panaginip lang ang lahat sa isip ko. And I don't want to think that it actually happened.
I tried to close my eyes, remembering what happened. "Ang huli kong naalala ay iyong nakipag usap ako kay Eric. We were eating and talking inside the resto bar..." Napailing iling ako. " And then it jumps off to Kayden punching Eric...pero parang hindi totoo... I don't know... I don't remember anything..."
"Of course, you don't remember anything because you were severely drugged. Somebody spiked on your drink or might have given you a shot. That's for sure," si Louise na lumapit narin sa gilid ko.
"Paano--"
"Let the doctor explain to her Louise," sabad ni Alice.
Just in time also, a nurse and a doctor came in. Kinuhanan ako ng vital signs ng nurse pagkatapos ay tinurukan ako ng painkiller while the doctor did a certain assessment and asked me if a have any recollection of what happened before I lost my consciousness.
"You and the baby are safe now," sabi ng doktor. "Aside from your other lab test, I ordered an additional drug test for you because I suspected that you were drugged. It's quite normal sometimes to bleed if you engage in rough sex with your partner while you're pregnant but convulsion, severe muscle weakness, and loss of consciousness is a different thing, Hija. Your drug test result showed that you took in methamphetamine. This is a drug often incorporated in ecstacies. Diazepam was also detected in the test, which is a potent sedative. These drugs in high doses can cause impairment in your memory or total block out kaya wala kang natatandaan. Mataas rin ang posibilidad na ang droga ang dahilan kung bakit ka dinugo. Taking these drugs could harm the baby or lead to miscarriage. Maswerte ka at malakas ang kapit ng bata," explained the doctor.
S-somebody put me on d-drug?
My tears fell out at the corners of my eyes again. Wala akong matandaan pero ang sama ng kutob ko. Eric was the last person I'm with...

Ayokong isiping may nangyari sa'min! Hindi ko matatanggap! Hindi pwede! Kahit masakit ang ginawa ni Kayden sa'kin ay hindi ko gugustuhing may ibang lalaking makahawak sa'kin maliban sa kanya! Siya lang!
Si Kayden lang...
Napahikbi akong napatitig sa doktor. "Dok, wala namang gumalaw sa'kin while I'm on drug, diba? You were able to check me when I was unconscious, right?"
No, please! No!
Tumango ang doktor. "I assumed that you were assaulted though a man who claimed to be your boyfriend admitted that you had thorough and rough sex. I included a test for you to check on oral and vaginal bodily fluids. I do it for legality, Hija. It's a standard operating procedure once we suspect that our patients are brought with drug-related cases.Luckily, lumabas na negative ang result ng test. You had no traces of bodily fluids inside you which I presumed that there was no sexual contact made. You were only put on drugs."
"Sa-lamat, dok...." Napahagulhol kong sabi at agad naman akong nilapitan ni Alice para yakapin. Nagsisikip parin ang dibdib ko dahil sa nangyari pero kahit papa'no ay nabunutan ako ng tinik. God was still good to me.
"Si Kay-den...ba ang nagdala sa'kin dito?" tanong kong bahagyang napahiwalay kay Alice.
She answered by nodding her head and reaching for my eyes to dry my tears.
My friends consoled me and tried to calm me down while the doctor explained about my case. She said that drink spiking or any medical case related to drugs is a serious offense and is ground for court manifestation. She also said that she was already able to make a medico-legal report for my case since it was a prerequisite in the hospital policy.
"You are very lucky na malakas ang kapit ng bata. Let's just hope na hindi makaapekto ang drug sa development niya," Mikaela said after the doctor had left. Napabuntong hininga siya at makahulugang napatingin kay Alice at Louise. She tried to open her mouth but Alice cut her off.
"Let's discuss everything later, kailangan mong kumain para malagyan ng laman ang tiyan mo," sabi ni Alice sa'kin at sinimulan ng ihanda ang pagkain ko. Tinuyo ko ang luha ko at sinubukan kong gumalaw. Dinaluhan naman ako ni Mikaela at ni-reclined pataas ang ulunan ng bed ko. Kumain ako para sa baby ko kahit hirap na hirap akong lumunok. Lutang na lutang ang utak ko. Everything just wouldn't sink in to me.
"Magpahinga kana," sabi ni Alice matapos kong kumain.
"Gusto kong makita si Kayden...gusto ko siyang makausap..." sabi ko at muli na namang humikbi. Pakiramdam ko, sobrang tagal na naming hindi nagkita. Nasaan kaya siya ngayon? Gusto ko siyang makausap. Gusto kong sabihin sa kanya na kahit nagawa niya iyon sa'kin ay mahal na mahal ko parin siya.
Tiningnan ko si Louise. "Girl, tawagan mo naman siya oh..."
Louise took a deep inhale. "His phone went off. Hindi namin siya matawagan," napatingin siya kay Alice at bumalik muli sa'kin. "Even his fam--"
"Louise, pwede bang pagpahingahin mo muna si Fia? She need to rest!" agap ni Alice at binalingan ako. "Magpahinga kana. Rest and we will talk later," she ran a hand to my hair.
"Pero gusto ko siyang makausap... I want to make sure if he's okay...marami akong gustong sabihin at itanong sa kanya..."
"Think about your baby, girl," she said and squeezed my hand. "I'm sure Kayden is okay. Rest dahil makakasama sa'yo ang lalong ma stress."
"Alice, Kailan mo naman planong sabihin sa kanya ang totoo, aber?" napataas ang kilay na sabi ni Louise sa kanya."It wouldn't make any difference if we'll going to tell her now or later."
"A-anong totoo, Louise? May alam ba ka-yo sa totoong nangyari?" tanong ko sa nanginginig na boses.
Louise sighed and then she started telling me what happened before I was drugged. She told me about how worried Kayden was when I wasn't answering any of his calls. She also told me about what Kayden had seen inside the hotel." Agad siyang umalis kagabi pagdating ko. Binilin ka niya sa'kin. Dumating naman iyong Yaya niya kaninang umaga pero agad ring umalis kasi tinawagan siya ng mommy ni Kayden. Hindi nila ma-contact si Kayden and they were worried," she paused taking in a long inhale. "Just this morning you and Kayden were all over the news. There's a video of you and him circulating the internet. I guess, that was the video you've told me about the first time when you've mistaken him for Elijah."
Oh Diyos ko... Ano bang nangyayari? That video couldn't come out! Not a chance! Si Kayden lang ang may kopya nun. Hindi niya 'to magagawa sa'kin...
"Na...kita niyo...ba?" I looked at each one of them and they all nodded their heads.
"Alam narin ng mommy mo ang kundisyon mo at ang nangyari sa'yo. Tinawagan niya si Alice kanina. Sobra ring siyang nag-aalala. She knows about the video too dahil nagka-usap sila ng mommy ni Kayden. She said she'll be flying here as soon as possible," Louise added.
Napailing-iling ako. "I don't understand... Who could possibly do this?" hilam ng luha ang mga mata kong napatingin sa kanila. "Si Kayden lang ang may kopya ng video...Ganun naba siya kagalit sa'kin?"
"Ano ba kasi talaga ang nangyari kahapon? Why were you with another guy?"si Mikaela.
Sinubukan kong huminga ng malim kahit sobrang hirap. In between sobs, I told them everything. About Elj, about Kayden, about Eric.
"There must be someone else behind this girl. Isang taong gusto kayong sirain ni Kayden," said Louise. "Who would send photos like that of Kayden? At bakit on that same day you were drugged? At tsaka, bakit naman ilalabas ni Kayden ngayon yung video ninyo? It doesn't make any sense. That guy is so inlove with you. I couldn't imagine what courage it took him para daluhan ka pagkatapos ng nakita niya, girl. You should have seen how devastated he looks nang maabutan ko siya kagabi. Sobrang mugto ng mga mata niya sa pag-iyak. That must be too painful for him.
At tsaka, with that kiss, baka sinunggaban lang siya nung babae. He could have never like that."
"Baka naman iyong Eric ang may pakana nito? That guy obviously likes Fia," si Mikaela.
"I don't think so. Kasi kung siya, 'di sana dapat may nangyari sa kanila ni Fia. Bakit wala?" rason ni Louise.
"Maybe we could get through Eric?"
"Girls, that's enough!" Alice cut them off. "Hindi kayo mga imbestigador, pwede ba?We'll have this investigated. I'll call Marco to take care of it." She gasped and worriedly looked at me. "Girl, magpahinga kana muna. We'll take care of everything."
I shook my head, crying. How could I rest with all of these? Nag-aalala ako kay Mommy, sa pamilya ni Kayden at lalo lalong na sa kanya. This must be of terrible shame for our families.
I helplessly looked at each one of them. "Where could Kay-den possibly be? Ba-ka may nangyaring masama sa kanya? Ba-kit hindi niya sinasagot ang tawag niyo?" I sobbed and rested my face on my hands. I don't care anymore if he was the one who leaked the video or not. Whatever it was, I just want him safe.
"Ssshh... huwag kang masyadong mag-isip ng masama. Baka nagpapalamig lang siya ng ulo. We'll figure this out soon and we will find the person behind this. Rest girl, please. Worrying won't be good for you and the baby," Alice said.
I swallowed hard and tried to take a sharp inhale. Kayden must be somewhere at nagpapalamig lang ng ulo. That's good enough to think of.
After I've calmed down, Alice started to recline my bed and made me sleep, reassuring me that they will get Kayden for me to talk. Namimigat narin ang mga talukap ko at sobrang pagod na pagod na ang utak ko. I closed my eyes and tried my hardest to sleep but my mind wouldn't shut off. Kayden's absence even made it a lot harder para ako makatulog. Hindi na ako sanay na wala siya sa tabi ko. I have always looked after his comfort and his warmth before bedtime. I'm used to us cuddling, kissing, and making love before we sleep. Most of the time if we're both tired, we just lie next to each other, hugging. Then, he would whisper love words to me and rub my back tapos hindi ko na mamalayang nakatulog na ako.
I smiled bittersweetly as I felt tears streaming down the corners of my eyes. I was missing him so much and a day without him felt like forever already.
I sighed and tried to imagine that I was sleeping next to him. I imagined that his warm arms were wrapped around me and I was nestling against his chest. I imagined that I was sniffing his manly scent while I was silently counting his heartbeat.
Without knowing, I drift off to sleep.
