You were walking through downtown Edmonton, trying to find the way to the café your real estate broker had told you to meet at. You were looking down at your phone again when you walked into somebody and went flying.
"I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking we're I was going."
A warm, strong hand steadied your hip and you glanced up at your savior. He looked familiar and when he apologized again and you recognized that accent. That's a German accent! You looked at him closer and a suddenly you recognized him.
"Leon?"
He looked at you weirdly and you continued.
"Ich bin's. Y/N? Wie waren mal Nachbarn?"
Now he recognized you too.
"Y/N? Oh mein Gott! Ich hab dich ja schon seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr gesehen. Was machst du denn in Kanada?"
Somebody behind you fake-coughed and you realize you were still in a position that looked like you were dancing he was dipping you.
" 'tschuldigung."
He pulled you up and pulled you into a hug.
"Ehm, guys?"
You turned around and saw three tall guys looking at you two.
"Oh sorry. Ehm, Y/N das sind Connor, Ryan, und Darnell. Ich bin mit ihnen in einer Mannschaft."
"In English Leon. It's rude to talk about people in a language they don't understand." The blond one, Connor(?), said.
"I just told her your names." Leon said.
Darnell(?) came over to you and put his arms around your shoulders.
"Well, Y/N, how do you know our little Leon over here."
You smiled up at him and answered.
"We used to be neighbors. Back home in Germany."
Your handy vibrated in your pocket signaling you had a new message. You quickly checked it and saw that your realtor had sent you a message.
"I'm really sorry guys, i need to go. I was supposed to meet with my realtor ten minutes ago."
"Realtor?"
"Uh yeah, I'm moving here for work so I need to find a place to stay."
"Wait, give me your phone."
You handed it over to Ryan questioning and he pulled out his own phone and stared typing something.
"Really? I know this is weird but I just got a new apartment so if you need a place to stay I got a free room? We've been neighbors for years so it wouldn't be that weird."
Ryan gave you your phone back and smiled at you.
"Just call him sometimes. And if you got any embarrassing stories about him as a kid ... our numbers are in there too."
"That's really nice of you. I really need to go now. I'll call."
You smiled at them before walking away.
The guys waited until you were out of earshot before they turned to Leon.
"Was that the Y/N you used to have that embarrassing crush on?"

"Y/N? Oh mein Gott! Ich hab dich ja schon seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr gesehen. Was machst du denn in Kanada?" - "Y/N? Oh my god? I haven't seen you in ages. What are you doing in Canada?"
" 'tschuldigung." - "Sorry."
"Oh sorry. Ehm, Y/N das sind Connor, Ryan, und Darnell. Ich bin mit ihnen in einer Mannschaft." - "Oh sorry. Ehm, Y/N these are Connor, Ryan, and Darnell. We all play on the same hockey team."
