but only from a distance,
for her tender touch was destructive.

Fire's favorite pastime was to dance,
to twist and twirl along gleefully,
Ignorant of the destruction she created in her path.
Fire was mortal.
Fire could suffocate and be suffocated.
She could drown and be drowned.
She could breath and she could die away.
Fire was human.
