Chapter One

It was a midsummers day. The weather outside was wonderful. You could almost taste the sweet smell of sausages and burgers cooking on the barbecue. Birds flapping in the cool atmosphere. Today was a beautiful day.
I sat on my lounger on my balcony, taking in every little thing I could see from my hotel room. I was on holiday to Spain, Majorca. Spain was such a lovely country to go on holiday too. So much to see, so much to do. It was paradise. I had an amazing view, I had the swimming pool right outside my room, palm trees, loungers, even a bar I could go to whenever I was thirsty. Everything was perfect here. I wish I lived here.
"Alayia! Come here sweetie, I need to speak to you with your brother." My mother called from the rather small kitchen. I rushed over to her and put my phone down on the side that was attached to my hand.
"What is it mum?" I asked curiously, glancing at my brother.
"Tomorrow I want you both to go to the beach together. Alayia, no leaving him behind or you will have to stay here while we go out for our meal. I'm warning you." My mum was so stubborn sometimes. Always about her. I've never really had the chance to do what I want to do, by myself. I have to take my brother everywhere. He is 9 years old. So I can't do much with my friends.
It was getting quite late. I had discussed all the rules I had to keep for tomorrow. I hated it so much. I decided it was time to shut the curtains, turn on the lamps, go in the bathroom and have a shower. No one was in there for once, at least.
I got into the shower and turned on the taps. Nice warm water. Just how I liked it. Shampoo and conditioner used to scrub my hair clean and shower gel for my body also. It didn't take me long until i had finished. My long, straight and sleek brown hair had been cleaned, once again. I hated going into the shower, but once you got into it, you never want to leave.
"I'm out of the shower!" I yelled to my mum and brother whilst wrapping a white fluffy towel around myself. My brother Dan shouted back to say that he would be the next one in... which started a little argument with our mum.
I dried my hair with the hairdryer, ignoring the argument. It had gone shiny and silky. The light shined on it. I brushed my hair through until there were no knots and climbed into my comfy king sized bed. It was like living in the life of luxury. I read my book that I read every night and slowly and calmly drifted off to sleep.
