HARRY'S POV
The weekend went by pretty fast in comparison to Friday night which was amazing, I never wanted it to end. I pulled up in the school parking lot and was about to get out when I saw a familiar black Volkswagen Beetle pull into the space next to mine. I then spotted the same blue eyes I've been dreaming about all weekend. She stood up and looked at me and grinned when our eyes met. "Hey" I greeted her as I stepped out of my Range Rover, I walked toward her as she walked away from her car, I lent in the giver her a kiss on the lips but was disappointed when she turned her head so my lips met her cheek instead,
Did I do something? I thought to myself. I turned back facing the school and walked toward it beside her.
As we entered the building I could see people's heads turning toward Alyssa and I, I looked back at her and she was now slowing her pace so I was farther in front of her than I already was. I decided to speak up, "What are you all staring at? Can't two people walk together without it making local news!" Just then everyone's heads turned back to their original conversations. I turned back to Alyssa and grabbed her hand and walked with her to our locker. I turned the combination lock and opened the door, I let her get her books first, after I grabbed mine I turned to find Alyssa walking away from me. I walked behind her and grabbed her arm she turned around. Her face showed that she really didn't want to speak to me. So I spoke first.
"What's the matter with you, first you're avoiding my kiss, then you don't want to walk with me, and now this. What's going on? I thought Friday was fun."
"I know we had fun this weekend but I'm still not comfortable being all out there like I'm guessing you are. I'm sorry Harry." She was turning away from me when I grabbed her hand again and crashed my lips onto hers. We broke apart and she looked at me in shock.
ALYSSA'S POV
He kissed me, on the lips, in the middle of the hallway, in front of everyone! What was he trying to do?
I'm a very shy person. I've always been that way, I hate meeting new people which is why I spend most of my time by myself. And then he just had to waltz in and mess with my head.
After our lips parted, I quickly turned and practically ran to my first class which was Biology.
Once I reached the classroom I let out a sigh of relief that he hadn't followed me here. I went and took my seat in the back of the class and waited for the teacher and the rest of the class to arrive. Class started and ended really quickly but I wan't looking forward to the rest of the day because the next 4 classes I had with Harry.
I was walking toward the art wing of the school and was nearing the door to my drawing class when a tall figure stood in the front of the door, I looked up and sure enough his green eyes were staring into my blue ones with the same grin on his lips. "What do you want Harry?" I said keeping a straight face. "I need to talk to you, meet me in the library at lunch, usual spot." was all he said before entering the classroom, me shortly after, taking the same seat as last week.
I was preparing to get out my sketch book and iPod to start drawing when our teacher told us that we'd be starting a project today, we were going assigned partners and we were to draw a full body portrait of them.
Our teacher began calling out the partners and I noticed that he was going straight down the attendance roster so it was in alphabetical order and if I remember correctly mine and Harry's names were next to each other's, I didn't like where this was going. "Alyssa Stevens and Harry Styles" I looked over at Harry who had the same idea apparently because once again he was staring straight at me.
Once the teacher had finished calling out the partners I quickly picked up my sketch book and pencil, plugged my headphones into my iPod, put them in my ears and began sketching where I left off last, which was a bouquet I saw on Sunday. Harry must've gotten the picture that I didn't want to talk because I looked over and he was doing the exact same thing as me, plugged into his music and sketching what looked like my eyes again, they looked amazing, he was putting a lot of detail into it.
I returned to my work but decided to turn back to the piece that I did last week, his rose tattoo and thought I'd add to it. so I looked in my peripheral vision over at his left arm, lucky enough I was sitting to his left so I had a perfect view, and began drawing his smaller tattoos, I had gotten so far into my work, when the bell rang to release us I nearly jumped off of my stool.
I closed my book and packed up and was on my way out of the room when I heard the steps of boots closely behind me I turned and like magic Harry was right on my heels. I didn't say anything, just turned back around and hurried out of class to math, it wasn't of much help trying to hurry though because I would be spending the next 5 hours with him.
HARRY'S POV
She turned around and walked out of the classroom but I decided against keeping up with her because she clearly wanted some space plus I was going to be with her for another 3 classes plus lunch, so I waited until she had walked down the hall for a while and then left myself to go to math class.
I rounded the corner and opened the door to the class room and Alyssa was already in her seat at the back of the room with her headphones in staring at her phone screen, I took my seat next to her but she didn't look up from the screen so I decided not to try to engage in conversation with her yet.
Class went by pretty fast but once the bell rang for lunch I decided to stay by her side so she didn't try to skip out on me. I didn't try to hold her hand or touch her I wanted to know why she was acting weird.
ALYSSA'S POV
This was what I had been dreading all morning but I just had to be honest with him about my feelings, even though I wasn't really sure what those feelings were.
We approached the corner of the library where I usually sat alone on a normal day and I sat down on the couch as Harry followed behind me. I looked at him as he sat next to me, for a moment neither of us said anything so to break the silence I opened my mouth.
"So... I'm not really sure how to address this, " I motioned between us "I haven't really thought about a relationship since my last one ended and you seem really nice but we really haven't known each other very long so if you were thinking that we would just suddenly become a ' thing ' from one night then you kind of over shot just a tad. " I said and was shocked when he didn't interrupt me.
He sat in silence for a moment then opened his mouth to return his argument.
"I'm sorry if I came on to quickly I just really like you and you seem kind of secluded and I'm not really used to that kind of thing in a girl. I know I'm new and we haven't known either very long but I would like to get to know you better if you'd let me. "
I looked at him and made a decision within thirty seconds
"Okay, deal. "
