My Wishes
I want to fly with the birds,
Sway with the trees.
Play with the sun,
And move with the breeze.
I want to soar through the air,
Not caring 'bout a thing.
Sit in the shadows.
With misery to bring.
I want to live like a wolf,
To hunt the wrong-doers.
To make them pay,
Make them rot in the sewers.
I want all the right people,
For all the right things.
I don't want the murderers,
Who never laugh or sing.
But alas that's not possible,
Unless I myself die.
Because I am one of them,
And one of them am I.
I'll never fly with the birds,
Never care about a thing.
For I am myself,
And misery I bring.
Those are my wishes,
A few I regret.
Some of them strange,
And most I wont get.
The days passed me by,
But I never forgot.
What I did to deserve,
The pain, oh so hot.
I want and I need,
Some of those wishes.
I'll never succeed,
'Cause I belong in the ditches.
