Who Is She?
Cuts on her wrists,
Scars on her hands,
Bruises cover her face.
She walks alone,
Yet not.
She is constantly with someone,
Yet she yearns for the time alone,
What can she do?
She feels she needs to act,
Pretend until it's all over.
Does this life really matter?
Who really cares?
Who would care if she vanished?
What if she vanished forever?
Could you be this girl?
So dark and far-gone?
She is clothed all in black.
Dark as the night sky
Look into her eyes
What do you see?
See the hurt and the scam?
See what she hides beneath?
Instead of smiling making her happy,
It only makes it worse,
She can not stand it when she is with her best of friends,
They try and help,
Try and see.
It is too far gone for that,
He hope is diminished,
She only sees the dark of everything,
She sees him,
Knows him,
But he doesn't know her anymore.
It has been too long,
Too much pain,
Not enough to bring her back,
Never will be enough.
Her parents can't see it,
They can't see past their own thoughts,
Not quite far enough to see her now,
She doesn't belong,
Want to be gone,
But can't bring herself to do it.
Her friends wonder why she runs,
Runs from trouble,
And does not stay.
It is quiet simple actually,
Night is her time,
Dark is her light,
The moon is her guide.
