All she ever felt was a permanent emptiness tattooed inside her as she stared at the very same place that once used to be filled with
joy
But now, it was filled with her own tears
The roses that once bloomed were now dull as they have surrendered happiness
The little girl felt an empty black hole that exists only inside of her
She feared that the empty dark hole
would swallow her whole
It seemed as if she forgot the feeling of happiness without him
Her chest would tighten when she would remember how his big round belly would always make her grin childishly, and burst into fits of giggles
She rewound the way her tiny fingers would wrap around his forefinger, and how his almost grey streaks of hair blew with the wind as he chased the happy little girl
Nothing made her smile anymore, because
he wasn't here
