Once Upon a Time there were two Slytherins, a man and a woman. They were married young at the order of their families. They seemed to everyone to be a perfect match. But this isn't some silly romance story and things soon turned sour. The marriage was made purely for the purpose of carrying on blood lines. Both came from long lines of Slytherins. But after five long years there was no sign of children. So, on the order of his leader, the man started to look elsewhere. And he found it, in the form of a half-blood Ravenclaw called Rachel. And it wasn't long before she fell. The man was delighted to finally be a father and began to start the long process of divorce for failing to provide an heir. When the Ravenclaw was three months they had reached the court date. However, the divorce didn't go through as his wife announced her pregnancy. So now the man was torn, he was to stay with his wife, but he had fallen for Rachel and he wasn't afraid to show it. his actions towards his wife caused her to fall into depression and she turned to drink. She began to despise the child inside her, she neglected her body and her baby. She got worse and worse until her body couldn't take it anymore. She went into labour at just 6 months. With the help of magic her son survived, but she didn't. Her death date matched with her sons birth, 2nd September 1979.
The man worked fast and within a fortnight he had remarried to Rachel, with the promise that she would raise his son as her own. She named the baby boy after his birth mothers father, Theodore. A month later she gave birth to her daughter, Eleanor, on 17th October 1979. Rachel raised both children together and loved them equally. As soon as they wee old enough to question the age difference she told them a revised version of the truth, careful to shelter them from the horrors of the truth.
