After getting up in the morning Mahi noticed Behram at home.She ignored the thought of him being at home so she won't get nervous.
She was headed to the kitchen when her cell phone started ringing .Looking at the screen she smiled and received the call and decided to sit in the lawn for a while.
"Hello" Mahi heard Essa's voice and a smile graced her lips.
"Hey Essa"
"Hey doll,how are you"??
"I am good ,ap sunain" (What about you)
"As handsome as ever" He replied cockily making her chuckle lightly
"Yeah right"
"So where have you been,its like you have disappeared from the face of the earth Mahi.We were so worried abot you,is everything ok??How is Behram "?
"Everything is fine.Behram is his usual arrogant self ,today he is at home"
"Kuch tou izzat karle larki,shohar hai tera" (Atleast respect the man girl,he is your husband)
"So what?? doesn't change the fact that he is an A class jerk"
She replied haughtily and Essa laughed loudly on the other side.Essa knew how hot headed Mahi was and also knew how her husband was.being a cousin,a brother a friend he was worried about Mhai.He knew Behram will never bend to Mahi's will and Mahi will also be hard as a rock.Most relationships are doomed that way.
"You won't change will you"?? He was still chuckling and she nodded as if he was sitting in front of her
"Nope"
"So how is everyone" ?
"Everyone is fine.Missig you .Baazil was ranting yesterday to meet you,he was actually coming but i stopped him.Saman is out with Urwa ,Sherheryar and Maisam"
"Why did you stop him from coming Essa.Seriously i was bored,hell i am bored all the time here"
"take interest in your home now girl"
"Yes father" Mahi rolled her eyes at his comment and he shook his head lightly
"Alright listen.I actually called you to tell you that we'll come at your place in a day or two ok"
"Yes please and hey bring Agha Jan with you alright"
"Yeah sure"
"Ok see you then "
"Allah Hafiz"
"Allah hafiz"
Mahi disconnected the line and sighed thinking about her family ,she was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't noticed Behram standing in front of her.
"Ahemm" He cleared his throat and she jumped out of her thoughts
Mahi looked at him for a minute with a strange expression and her thoughts drifted back to last night when he was so close to her.
Her cheeks went scarlet in a matter of minutes and he smirked as if he knew what she was thinking
She got up from the chair and went inside with her head held high,never looking back.
She came back to their room and threw her dupatta on the bed irritatingly .
( Dupatta is a length of material worn arranged in two folds over the chest and thrown back around the shoulders, typically with a shalwar kameez, by women from South Asia).
She was unable to find out the reason of her anxiety when Behram entered the room and closed the door.
Mahi turned around startled and found him standing there.
"Kya masla hai?? zaroori hai har jagah peechay peechay ana meray"??
(What's the problem,is it necessary for you to follow me everywhere) ?
She gritted her teeth while asking him and he glared back at her
"Excuse me" He arched an eyebrow at her and took a step towards her,she took one back in response.
"why are you following me"?
"You are highly mistaken your highness,I am a busy man ,i don't follow crackpots everywhere i go and since this is my house i can come and go anywhere and whenever I chose to."
"Did you just called me a crackpot"??
"Yes i did"
"Well you are a jerk yourself" She replied and took a step towards him ,Behram took one forward too and smiled evilly.
"If i am jerk than you are a delinquent "
"You are an arrogant ass"
"Nutcase"
"Stinking baboon"
"Irritating termite"
"Stubborn Oaf"
"Little witch"
"Lanky old man"
They kept throwing insults at each other like kids when Mahi suddenly punched Behram in his stomach.He didn't even budged but stood there in shock in front of her
"Did you just punched me"?? he asked with his eyes wide and Mahi stood there in utter shock from what she just.
"I..i didn't mean too.I am sorry.does it hurt"?? She put her palm on his stomach from above the white t shirt his was wearing and Behram looked at her silently and then a bubble of luaghter came out of his throat startling her.
She withdrew her hand from his tight shaking abs from the laughter and took a step back with red face
"You thought..you...could..hurt....,.me ,,with a punch"?? Behram said still laughing and Mahi put a hand unnoticed on her left cheek as if to stop the blush from spreading
"I am a karate black belt Mahi.You can't hurt me even if you want too" He leaned towards her chuckling and looked straight into her eyes.
"Or may be you should try harder" he winked at her and she kept looking at him with her mouth open like a fish out of water.
"You,..you are a black belt"??? She looked at him strangely and he nodded at her smiling
"Yes"
The next thing that she said was so spontaneous and sudden that both of them looked at each other with eyes wide like saucers
"Can i hit your abs one more time??I mean they are just rock hard ,it feels cool to punch them for once". She spoke without a filter and without realizing what she was talking about.
The moment her brain registered the words she said ,Mahi caught her tongue between her teeth.
And Behram gave her a look that screamed "have you lost your mind"??
"Uh.what"?? He said and she pointed at the door straight
"Uh i uh have to go ..sorry "
Behram stood there in utter silence as she left the room
"Uh what the hell just happened"??? !! he asked himself and shook his head smiling
"Pagal aurat" (Mad women)

Three days later
"Hahahahahah ..you..asked him that" Baazil was rolling on the floor while Mhai was sitting in front of him with all of the others in her room with an embarrassed face
"Are you for real Mahi" Essa chuckled while Sheheryar was still trying to stop himself from choking while eating a donut .
"Rock hard abs huh"?? Urwa pinched Mahi's cheek and she smacked her hand away
"Manhooson tum log mera mazakh uranay ho"
(Morons are you guys here to laugh at me) ??
Mahi threw a cushion at a smirking Maisam and he caught it with ease.
"No but what you did was actually epic" He replied and she huffed at him
"It was so sudden it wasn't my fault "
"Yeah it so isn't your fault if his rock hard abs are so appealing" Saman ruffled Mahi's hair and she glared back at her
"Ha ha very funny'
"Alright enough of the leg pulling guys,on a serious note Mahi how are things with him"?? Sheheryar asked with concern on his face and Mahi shrugged at him
"I guess they are fine ,when we both are not trying to claw each others eyes out,he was actually smiling after the stunt I pulled yesterday".
"Hmm so that's a good thing then but seriosly Mahi please refrain yourself next time from punching a black belt on his "rock hard abs" unless you want to die" Sherheryar replied winking at her and she threw two cusions at him while everyone started chuckling
"Agha jan kyun nahi ai tum logon k sath) ??
(Why didn't Agha jan came with you guys)??
"He was busy with some stuff,but he said he'll meet you soon "
"Ok"
"I am hungry Mahi" Maisam showed Mahi hi teeth and she glared at him
"hamesha bhookay hi rehna tum "
(You'll always stay hungry won't you)
"Yup"
"Alright lets cook something together" Mahi looked at everyone and all of them nodded getting up from the carpeted floor.

As Behram entered the mansion he noticed something unusual.Being a sharp man ,he was used to realizing things in a matter of minutes specially when the changes were concerned with his home.
He immediately sensed something different as if he knew someone was home.then he heard voices coming from the kitchen.
Someone as screaming,the other voice was of a man laughing,the others were giggling.behram looked strangely at his guards.
His head of the security stepped forward
"You want me to have a look first sir"???
"No i'll handle it"
The head of the security nodded and stepped behind Behram with his hand ready on his gun
Behram opened the door to the kitchen and five men behind him saw the scene in front of them with utter shock.
Essa was on the floor laughing while Maisam was squeezing oranges on Urwa's face and both of them were laughing like dying Hyena's
Sherheryar was trying get out of Saman's grip who was trying to put the mixture of the cake on his face.
Baazil and Mahi were giggling standing on top of the huge kitchen counter
Behram sighed and spoke to his men
"You guys can leave its alright.These are my wife's cousins"
One of his men smiled at him and all of them left.
Behram looked at the people in front of him who were absolutely oblivious to their suurroundings.
He cleared his throat and all of them looked at him.
Mahi looked at Behram with horror and her expression mirrored everyone else's
"Having fun guys" Behram smiled politely at his wife's family.
"Uh hi dulha bhai" Urwa raised her hand in the air and Mahi face palmed.
"Sorry Behram ,was just playing,didn't realized when it got so out of control" Essa smiled at him and Behram smiled back at him politely .
"Its ok.I was just shocked a little since i haven't seen this happening in my house before.Hello everyone". Behram waved a hand at them and everyone waved back sheepishly.
"You guys carry on,i'll just take a shower first then join you guys" He excused himself and went upstairs and Mahi released a breath she didn't realize she was holding.
"Well..that was..." Essa started and Baazil finished his sentence
"Hell embarassing".
"I agree" Saman said
"I think we should clean this up" Mahi said getting off the counter and everyone nodded as they started to help her

After having dinner everyone left and Mahi came back into the room and saw Behram working on his laptop .
She opened her mouth to say something but then she decided not to say it anymore.Behram sensed her discomfort and asked
"Everything alright"?
"Hmm"
"Mahi"???
"Yes"
"What's wrong"??
"Uh i was just trying to say sorry about earlier.I mean about the kitchen"
Behram saw her face for a few seconds in silence.He put the flap of the laptop down and sighed looking at her
"Sit down Mahi'
"What"??
"I said sit down" He motioned for her to sit and she did silently
"DO you know for how long i lived alone Mahi?? Do you know that I am an only child.I don't have siblings..Do you know how annoying this silence is for me in my own house?? I have never seen people playing around in my home Mahi.Tonight was the first for me to see this happening in my home and you have no idea how much i wanted all this when i was young and in my teen age.I wanted my siblings to play with me in our house,having food fights and pulling each others leg,to satnd with each other in tough times and in good ones too,to smile at me when i come home to them.I never had this Mahi.I may be a very serious man but I am a human too.Believe it or not i have a heart too.Your family is like my own.Essa,baazil,rwa,Saman,Maisam,Sherheryar they are all like my own siblings so don't you ever dare say sorry about anything like this ever again.You don't know what loneliness feels like Mahi and i hope that you'll never go through such lonelines ever in your life.Good night'
With that he put his laptop aside and laid on the bed with his eyes closed.MAhi sat on the bed with goose bumps on her arms as she saw the man in front of her sleeping. She felt her eyes becoming wet without any reason .
"Ro mat Mahi,sojao"
(Don't cry Mahi ,go to sleep)
Mahi gasped when she heard his voice,she looked at him to see if his eyes were open but they were closed as if he never said anything in the first place.
"How do you know"??? She whispered and he smiled with his eyes still closed
"Because i cried once for being lonely too"
