They label us as brainless
Talking about us
As if we are useless
Is it only because we are wearing headscarves
Or how we dress ourselves
Or is it the way we express
Ourselves
We don’t suffer from oppression
That stupid line full of preconceptions
Only to cover up their false accusations
Build on their own frustrations
We as Muslim women are blessed
With the way we are dressed
We only want to be seen for who we really are
and not for what we are wearing.
Stop with those prejudice and false claims
We are not brainless
We are more than only our headscarves
