Constant as the winds that blow
Over the mountains angelic hue
Unique as the stars that glow
Longingly I gaze at the view
Driven by a will that I do not know
There lies a longing in my soul
Hidden behind layers of smiles
Is a place where I'll feel whole
Somewhere inbetween all these miles
Beyond all the years I have seen
Exists a world to which I have never been
Pardon me, but in my heart I trust
Along with a voice that cries
Reminding me that we're all mere slaves to our wanderlust
Awakening a desire to explore the great blue skies
Deciding to discover all that lies ahead
I can't begin to fathom all that life has in store
So I think I shall just listen instead
Even if it means leaving behind the life I knew before.
