I heard Alex's truck pull up. I hurried myself up the stairs to surprise her. I heard her calling my name from the porch. It slowly got louder, meaning she was inside.
"Luke!?" she yelled
"Yeah? I am upstairs! Come here!" I replied back. Chuckling to my self.
I heard her footsteps. She put her boot on the top stair and I grabbed her quickly. Put ourselves into a deep kiss.
Here we go again. The butterflies. The tingle. The passion.
The kiss last for a good few minutes. She pulled away first, needing to breath.
I must take her breath away ;)
Now, I get a good look at her.
Her beautiful sandy blonde hair was put up in a high bun. Her plaid shirt opened enough for me to see down her shirt. ;)
I slowly lifted my hand and caressed her cheek. I have very strong feelings toward her. But I am afraid
if I told her I'd scared her away.
But who knows?
∞Later in The Day∞
Alex was out in the barn with the horses, grooming them.
I started down the stairs and out the door. I was walking through the ocra patch. I finally reached the barn.
There she was. In the back of the barn.
Her bun had a few stray hairs out of it, from her working and horseback riding.
Through her iHome, Light Me Up by Hunter Hayes was playing. She was mouthing the words. That or softly singing them to the horses.
"Alex?"
"AHHH!! OH MY GOD!! Luke! You scared me!" she said laughing.
"Hahaha! Hey, I was wondering if I could take you somewhere tonight, if you don't have anything planned?"
I asked anxious of getting rejected.
"Sure! What time would you pick me up?" She said excited
I sighed with relief.
"7:30. Is that alright?"
"Perfect" and that was all.
Her eyes twinkled as she said that last word.
With that eye twinkle, I believe I should tell her.
We have only knew each other for 2 weeks. But she has known of me for years. Maybe a decade.
"Oh, you can get off early! I will pay you for the rest of the day!" I said smiling.
She giggled. "Thanks, Luke!"

I am on my way to pick up Alex.
After she left around 5:00, I quickly hopped into the shower.
That toke about 15 minutes. Then, I got out.
Since this out actual first date, I have to look good. I spent about 45 minutes picking out and getting dressed.
I am wearing my black v- neck shirt under my white button- up shirt, My faded black tight jeans with my brand new belt. And of course, my brown cowboy boots.
Then, for 20 minutes, I was debating on hairstyles. I just decided to put on my black Southeast Kansas hat.
Then, till 7:15, I played some games on my phone.
I slowly turned into her driveway.
I turned off the ignition of my Chevy.
I hopped out my jacked-up truck and started down her pathway towards her front door.
*Knock, Knock*
"Come in Luke!!" she yelled from inside the house.
I slowly opened the front door and walked inside. I started looking around the bottom floor for Alex. She wasn't down here.
I headed up stairs. I went to her room. She was standing in front of her closet, her back turned to me.
"Umm, Luke? Could you possibly zip me up?"
I walked towards her, pushed her hair to her left shoulder. I trailed my fingers down her sides. I slowly zipped the posh white lacy dress she had on. After, I kissed her shoulder blade.
