"Come on babe lets go to bed" Sebastian said over the intercom connecting our offices
I stood up clapping twice causing the lights to click off.
I walked into Sebastian's office as he picked up Taniah from her place on the couch and we all walked upstairs.
"Do you mind if she sleeps with us I don't feel right leaving her alone" he said
"It's fine Ashton" I said kissing his cheek and easing the stress lines on his forehead.
We walked into the bedroom and both got into the bed with Taniah in between us.
I fell asleep completely exhausted, my brain needing a break.
I woke up hours later next to Taniah who was curled into a ball sucking her thumb.
I brushed her hair away from her face and stood up streatching.
I walked over to the bedroom door locking it and walked into the bathroom leaving the door open. I took another quick shower and brushed my teeth before coming back out in my robe.
Taniah was just waking up and looked around the room in fear before she saw me.
"Good morning baby girl" I said
She smiled jumping out of bed and into my arms
"Come on help me pick out my outfit" I said
She ran to the closet and looked around.
"Which shirt?" I asked holding up a t shirt and a tank top
She chose the tank top and I paired it with shorts before grabbing my purse and phone and leading her to her own room.
Taniah went in to the bathroom and looked at me expectantly.
I followed her in placing her on the toilet before running a bath for her.
She finishes her business before jumping into the bubbles and splashing.
I jumped back before the water could get on me and she smiled
"Sorry" she said
I smiled telling her to hurry and wash herself while I picked out her clothes.
I chose a pair of blue jean shorts and a pink t shirt for her to wear all the while listening to her giggle every time she splashed and wondering just how much Sebastian spoiled her.
I poked my head inside the bathroom asking if she was finished. She nodded stepping out of the tub and I wrapped her in a towel. She put lotion on while I braided my hair to one side and put on her clothes.
"How do you want your hair?" I asked turning on Nick Jr and sitting her on her bed
"Like that" she said pointing to a girl on tv that had 2 pig tails with the ends curled
"Alright stay here I'll be right back" I said jogging to our room to get my curling iron.
I brought it back and began combing through her slightly tangled hair. Once it was straight and free of tangles it reached the middle of her back. I parted her hair down the middle and put it into 2 pig tails before telling her to hold very still.
I quickly curled the ends not wanting to test her patience and end up burning her. Once I was finished I gave her some clear lip gloss to put on and showed her the mirror.
She squealed in delight, her hands automatically going to her curls. I put some holding spray on them so hopefully they would last longer.
"Alright now we're ready" I said handing her her sandals as I put in my own
I walked downstairs and into my office where Sebastian still had the see through screen up.
He looked up when he saw us enter causing the other people to look to.
I waved to them sitting at my desk and opening my email. I saw my mother had emailed me asking if I was still going to stop by.
I replied with a yes and told her I'll be there in about 20 minutes.
I poked my head into Sebastian's office.
"Sorry for interrupting guys, I'm going down to the castle for a while, I can take Taniah if you want" I said
Sebastian nodded "alright thanks babe"
I smiled closing the glass door back.
"Want to go meet some more kids?" I asked Taniah who was finishing up her breakfast
"Yes" she said jumping up
"Alright let's go" I said grabbing my keys
We went down to the garage and saw my car being pulled back in by one of the guards freshly washed.
"Hey Luna need anything?" He asked getting out
"Yeah do you know where Taniah's car seat is?" I asked
"Yeah what car would you like it in?" He asked
"This one" I said
He nodded disappearing behind some cars before coming back and putting the car seat in my Lamborghini.
I strapped Taniah in before getting in, thanking the pack member and driving off.
On the way to the castle I put on the radio and listened with facination as Taniah began singing the song word for word in a great singing voice that was almost identical to mine. I sang along with her as I drove and she giggled happily.
We pulled up to the house and one of the guards opened my door. I got out walked around and unbuckled Taniah allowing her to jump out the car.
"Is this your castle?" She asked me as the guards looked at her weirdly wondering who she was
"I guess so" I said taking her hand
We walked into the house and were met with my friends and family as expected.
"Why'd you bring her?" Jace asked gesturing to Taniah who hid behind my legs
"Watch it Jace she's my sister" I said
"What did you need me for?" I asked looking at my mother
"Some documents need your signature and you should meet a few people" she said
I gestured for one of the guards to come and he stepped forward.
"Could you take Taniah to Stephanie and tell Stephanie to call me if there are any problems?" I whispered
He nodded turning to Taniah who didn't move.
"Niah go with him he'll take you to the other kids" I said
She hesitantly took his hand and they walked away
"Lets go" I said walking towards my fathers office not sparing any of them a glance
"Amber we still need to talk about last night" my father said as everyone followed me
"What about it? I told the truth you may or may not like it but it's still the truth" I said entering the office and sitting at the large table
"You can't just throw tantrums like a child your the heir to the throne" my mother said
"Where are the papers?" I asked
"See your acting childish just talk to us" my father said
"I'm not being childish I'm being efficient I don't have to to let you all pick and prod at me trying to make me mad. I have plenty of other things to do." I said as I began reading the paper my mother placed in front of me.
"You want me to sign a contract saying I'll become Queen?" I asked
"Well we never know how you're going to act" my father said
I smirked grabbing the pen and writing in a condition before signing it.
"Who are these people I need to meet?" I asked
"Your great grandmother and great grandfather" my mother said
I raised an eyebrow my interest peaked.
"Alright are they here?" I asked
"Downstairs in the living room" my father said
We walked out of the office down the stairs when my phone rang.
"Hello?" I asked
"Amber where are you?" Sebastian asked as I walked into the living room to see 2 very old people sitting on the couch.
"At the castle why?" I asked
"There's a small group of rogues seemingly belonging to the same group that attacked last night here asking for you and Taniah is she safe?" He asked
"Yeah she's in the daycare I'll go check on her now" I said walking out of the room
"Alright I'll keep them here until you get back but I don't want them near Taniah" he said
"Alright babe see you later" I said hanging up
I turned around walking out of the room and made my way to the nursery where I saw Taniah playing with Lilly.
"Hey girls" I said
"Hey Amber" they both replied
"Ok Taniah if you be good while we meet some people I'll take you for ice cream before we go home" I said
She agreed excitedly and took my hand as I guided her into the living room.
"Sorry about that I'm Amber" I said to the old couple
They both smiled at me "I'm Amberlyn and this is my husband Tom" the woman said looking at Taniah
I took a seat placing her in my lap as she played with her doll.
"Is this cutie your daughter?" Tom asked referring to Taniah. I noticed everyone tense at the question but ignoring it I answered
"No actually she's my future sister in law. Taniah meet Mr. Tom and Mrs. Amberlyn" I said
She looked at the couple then back to me "Hi" she said smiling
"So grandma, Amber has the same powers that you do" my mother said
"Does she?" Amberlyn asked looking at me her eyes changed into a cool multicolored earth toned iris.
That's my mom! Please let me take over! Bri pleaded
I let her take control she took it quickly "Mother" Bri said
"My Bri, you've done well" Amberlyn said
"Are you sure? Am I on the right track?" Bri asked
"You're doing fine, you have a smart human trust her and her judgement it's already proved correct when it comes to some people" she said glaring at my brothers and fathers
"Thank you I will" Bri said
"I love you and I'm proud of you sweetheart" Amberlyn said before her eyes changed back to her normal dark brown.
Bri faded away and I looked at Amberlyn.
She stood walking over to me and grabbing my hands. A spark of energy surged through my whole body making me gasp.
"You now have my power and my blessing to use it. Keep up the good work, you're wise young woman with a long life to live. Protect the packs but keep your pack closest to your heart. No matter what kind of idiots are apart of it" she said glancing at my friends
I hugged her and she was surprisingly strong for such a small woman.
"Thank you Amberlyn" I said
"You're welcome Amberlyn" she said releasing me "Go, your going to want to hear what those rogues have to say" she said
"How did you kno-" I began to ask
"I lived it" she whispered
I nodded and she took my bracelet between her fingers. I looked to her wrist and saw an identical one.
She took it off giving it to me. "Keep them safe" she said before turning and sitting on the couch next to Tom
I took Taniah's hand and looked at the couple "Thank you" I said before walking out of the room
I buckled Taniah into the car seat and got in the other side leaving the castle. On the way back we stopped for ice cream as promised.
As Taniah ate her ice cream creams in her way home I saw her looking at the bracelet on my wrists.
"Amber am I going to get one of those one day?" She asked
"I don't know you might" I said
"My mommy gave me hers but I want my own" she said
"Your mom had one of these?" I asked
"Yes she told me to protect it" Taniah said proudly
"What color is your mom's?" I asked
"Blue" she said as I pulled into the driveway
Her mom was from Blue Moon? Bri asked
'I guess so' I said getting out of the car
I unbuckled Niah and took her hand not knowing where the visitors were and agreeing with Sebastian about them not being around Taniah.
I pulled out my phone calling Sebastian and he answered on the second ring.
"A team is on its way out to get you" he said
"Alright is everything ok?" I asked seeing a group of about 6 men walking towards us
"Yeah everything's fine Amberlyn" he said
Between the look in the men who were walking towards us and the way Sebastian was talking to me I knew everything was definitely not ok.
"Amber the Alpha told us to bring you in" one of the men said when he reached us
"And to take the girl to her room" another added
That was the second strike. No one in this pack calls me Amber or refers to Taniah as 'the girl'.
"It's ok we were just on our way to his office now" I said slowly pulling Taniah closer to me
I picked her up and began walking towards the house with the men following us.
As we walked by pack members they look pale with fright
I walked confidently down the hall trying to assure them I had everything under control. When we entered Sebastian's office I saw the friendly woman who seemed to take care of Taniah from yesterday standing by the door.
I handed Taniah over to her knowing she could be trusted and put them in a bubble.
I looked up and saw men all around the room looking at me with a gun pointed to Sebastian's head.
I looked at him and he gave me a look that said to run.
"Who are you?" I asked the guy walking further into the room
"I'm the next king of werewolves Princess" he said winking at me
