"Diamond..Diamond Baby wake up!"
"Mm, why?"
"It's moving day!"
Diamond looks up, smiling. "Yay". Alex leans over Diamond, kissing her.
Diamond sits up, fixing her tee shirt. "Okay. Let's head to Lowe's and get some boxes".
Diamond gets up, hopping into the shower. She steps out, putting on some ripped jeans and a Thrasher tee shirt.
She find some vans and then grabs her phone. She sits at her vanity, putting some coconut oil through her curly hair.
She stands up, seeing Alex already dressed. "Come on, princess". Diamond smiles, walking downstairs with him.
"Hey mom. We're going to get boxes".
"Alright. I have some in the garage I'll start packing up some of your stuff".
"Thanks".
**
"Me too. Like a suttle color scheme".
Alex grabs about twenty boxes, "Like grays and whites?"
Diamond nods, "Nothing too, unsettling. But also nothing to bright".
"Yeah".
After getting the boxes into the back of the truck, they head to McDonald's. They sit inside eating.
Diamond giggles, "Yeah. I was thinking of straightening my hair, I'm not sure though".
"It'd look cute". Alex runs his fingers through, messing with it. Diamond eats a fry, smiling at him.
"Mrs. Rivers! Mr. Rodriguez! How are you two?"
"Hi, Mrs. Greene. We're good".
"I saw you two at graduation! What's going on?"
"Oh, we're moving today. Yea, j got a job in LA for fashion".
"What about you, Alex?"
"Oh...I'm just gonna pursue in my photography career".
"Oh? Didn't the draft letters go through?"
"Yea...I didn't...Yeah I didn't".
"Oh I'm sorry".
"It's fine...it was what? Two years ago?"
"Yea. We finished college and now we leaving, so it's fine".
**
Diamond packs her last box of clothes, smiling a little. She finished her entire closet in two hours.
"Love on top, Baby! Cause your the one that I love! Baby you're the one that I need!"
Diamond sings as she packs away her makeup. "Oo, oo! Come on baby!"
Over at Alex's house, he finished packing, and was playing basketball. "The fuck. We're sorry to inform you, but you're not eligible for this basketball team".
"Hey son!"
"Oh. Hi dad, hey".
"Isn't diamond coming over?"
"No. No, she's still packing. We're trying to get there by at least Wednesday".
He smiles, "Come on. Your mom finished dinner".
Alex sets the ball down, taking his shirt off and rubbing his chest off. "Ew! Lex doesn't have a shirt on!"
Alex rolls his eyes, "Shut up Alexia".
Alexia is Alex's little sister. She's five years old. "Alex. Shirt please".
"Mom, most of my clothes are packed up".
"Go grab your dads".
Alex nods, grabbing one of his dads hoodies. He walks back out, sitting in his seat. Diamond sends him a picture of her room, him smiling a bit.
"Look mom".
His mom looks, "Wow". Alex smiles, "She's giving half her stuff to her sister though".
**
The moving truck stops at Alex's house first, then heads to diamonds. She has a few bags that will be in the car with Alex and her.
The reason it's been two years is because they both did college in Texas. The both graduated and decided to move after college.
"Baby cakes, lets go".
Diamond throws her last two bags into the car. "Okay...".
They stop at Waffle House, meeting up with both families. It's a tradition they do.
Diamond and Alex sit in front of Alexia and Alaysia. The parents sit by each other.
"So you guys are leaving, why?"
"Time to live our lives with each other".
Alaysia furrows her brows, "Teenagers are stupid".
"We're both twenty one...were adults".
"What?"
**
"Okay. Bye mom. I love you so much".
Mrs. Rivers cries, "I love you too".
"Mom stop I'm gonna cry. It took my twenty minutes for this eyeliner".
They both laugh before the other two join the hug.
"Love you Lex".
"I love you two. Both of you so much".
"Hey!"
"I love you too Lexia".
She smiles, hugging his leg.
"Okay, okay pictures!"
They take about twenty pictures, before getting in the car. "Okay, Son. The movers said they're on the road. It is a chance they'll be there before you".
Alex nods, "Alright".
Mr. Rodriguez hands Diamond a twenty, "For the road".
I don't nee-"
"Hey. Take it. Okay?"
Diamond nods, taking it. Mr. Rivers goes by the window, "Treat her right, understand?"
Alex nods, "Always".
He nods, standing back up and walking back. "Bye!"
"Bye!"
They began their 17 hour drive to their new home!
